Yo blueleg Cap Podcast special guests in here one of my favorite new artists. Man, I'm fresh from Maui. It's like midn averge people of art. You're watching this whenever you're watching it. But we got the midnight interview popping off fin next two times. Man, appreciate you pulling up, Man, I appreciate you having me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I've been uh you know, uh just I was telling dwife from Atlantic, you ain't dropping no wax shit yees. Since you've been out, man,
you've been applying some pressure. Bro. That back end is like one of my favorite records. Yeah, it's gonna be real hard for me to drop some wake. I'm an artist. I don't just go on the studio and punch it. Ain't like I put this shit together like I'm playing a picture. So Yang, if you think you're gonna hear something whay from me, you quit thinking about it. Yeah, So talk about that because we kind of are in the punching era of music. Everyone's punching in. Are you pretty?
Are you penning everything? Yeah? I mean alright, like I've been writing all my life. I don't think I'll never be able to go in cause I like the I like to I want you to visualize what I'm talking about, no matter what it is. I can be talking about fucking I want you to see it. I could be talking about, you know what I'm saying, sitting drugs. I want you to see it. I ain't gonna just go on there and talk about fucking just you know, I want you to see this ship. I feel like I
put it on paper, it come out built. Yeah, yeah, I could. I feel that, dude. You know it's crazy because I feel like you notice the difference because it is your Your ship is very it is very visual. You know what I'm saying. You see this ship, like, yeah, one hundred percent. Man. So you obviously I just watched your, uh, your interview with Gillian Walla, which I thought was super dope because I really thought, just from like a perspective of like any young man that's living life right now,
there's so much to take from your story. And I think that, like when we think about incarceration and being at your absolute worse in life, I think that I'm sure being in the jail cell, not knowing how long you're gonna be locked up. I know you said you ended up not doing the whole ten you did five, but mentally to be able to like bounce back after you get released and like kind of not let up if anything level up like that takes a lot of
mental fortitude. Man, it was differently. Shit, I still better with it today. Still I'm still transitioning, you know what I'm saying. It's still a whole lot of shit that I don't know. It's still a whole lot of shit. Like I learned something new every day. Yeah, I might not even speak on it, but I was like, damn, Like you's still certain shit that I battle with, Like, Damn, I can't believe it. Shit go like this, but I gotta do it. Like especially with the internet, shit, especially
with the industry. You know what I'm saying, Like you know what I'm saying, just rubbing elbows, like the fake love, you know what I'm saying, Like I grew up on principles and more so, you know, like the fake love. Like this shit get under your skin, but you gotta deal with it, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, Yeah,
I deal with it. It's like the industry, like friendships and then there's like the real friendships, and it's like trying to figure out how to like maneuver and play the game in a way where you don't take the industry shit personal and you don't take offense to it. You just kind of know what it is and at the same time be aware of like what's actually happening. You know what I'm saying. You said, like the baby with somebody who reached out to you where you were
locked up, showed you loved Kevin Gates. Those were two of the first people who you tapped in with when you got it. Like I just heard Baby was riding in my music, but Gates actually reached out, like Gays was reaching out like on like two or three different occasions, Like you know what I'm saying, Like, but like when I got around Gates, I can feel the generosity. I can feel like where you come from, the struggle, the pain and shit like so niggas like this, like they
gonna embrace this shit. Some people can just feel this shit through lyrics like yeah, you can tell one a motherfucker and actually done something. And when a motherfucker ain't you know what I'm saying, like or they just they they putting they improbably did something, but they putting extra shit on it, right, you know what I'm saying, Like, so you know you can you know what I'm saying, if you come from that shit, you gonna be able to tell. Yeah. Gates is also somebody who's also kind
of been into similar situations where he was incarcerated. And I think that, you know, how important is that to know that? Like cause I have family members that have been doing i mean over twenty years in prison now, and I know that like anytime we write them or we accept the phone calls, it's so important. But I feel like when you get incarcerated, did you ever feel like at certain point of time you were kind of
forgotten about when it cames of family, friends, whatever. Yeah, but it gets to a point where like you be like, shit, don't no matter owe me no letter, don't no better, owe me no phone call, don't nobotter owe me no come and see, he I put myself in this motherfucker. You know you gotta be a realist when when you when that's that's our part of being a man to me, you know what I'm saying, Just being a realist, Like you gotta accept this ship like you can. You can't
really feel like oh, Oh I'm loneless. You wanted to be lonely, you signed up for. You knew what this doing, so you can't even be if you do. If you are lonely, you can't now the ones that do stay there with you and stick by your side. Them the ones you got the cherish like them, the ones you got to really be there for. And they might not be perfect, they might have flaws, you know what I'm saying.
But at the same time, like lord to overall, So if a motherfucker be lord to a lawyer, if a motherfucker be lawyer and everything else, you can kind of work out with them, like, yeah, you're gonna work out the rough party. You got loyalty long that's the overall quality to have, Like, that's that's the long as you lawyer you are, we can work We can work around your other flowers. That's fair. You know what I'm saying.
That's my opinion when it comes to this shit. So that's how I feel about Like, but yeah, it get fucked up, it gets longer, they get Yeah, it's fucked up, but you gotta The only thing kept me saying, well, mine, you did this ship, so you got to do what you got to do to not ever feel this feeling right here again. Yeah, I saw you said that you weren't playing like. You weren't playing cards. You were just in yourself, just focused on staying right mentally right now.
Don't get me wrong, I ain't gonna just sit up here and line. So I never played cards, and for some days we got bored. There's a motherfucker life and a nigga play a couple of hands of dombino, couple of hands and space. But I never just like you got guys who wake up every day and it's they mission. Like they come at they sell with they blanket, they card, they rubbing old. I'm somebody from sun up to sun down. They playing dominos. Man, that's what they look forward to
every day. Yeah. Man, Like if you if you see that nigga arguing, he arguing about them domino, you know what I'm saying. It's people like that like that use their time screen. You got your guys who use they strictly for working out. You wake up any time you see this nigga you working out, You're doing push ups, you're doing You got motherfuckers who who who liked to go to the lid library and help motherfucker fight cases
and get back. You know, I spent more majority of my time like in my cell, like I spun majority of my science time to myself, you know, on the feeds. We got MP three players, So I be in my music, I get in my zone. I just I'm I'm staying focused on the free world, read magazines and ship And how are you able to update the music? Like, like did you stuff for every two Thursdays in the Fizz and the b Op bureaup prison they update the music catalog on kyos machine and you able to download the
new ship that came out? Oh wow, yeah, shit, dope asfuck? What was like your go to? Like give me like a few artists who you kind of discovered while you were locked up that you like, you know, well, you know, a little baby out the top, Yeah, a little baby out the top, Like I know, I peeped him out like after I was locked up, probably about eighteen months, yeah, fourteen months and shit like that, And I started hearing I was hearing I think it was I think it
was my dog, Yeah of course. Yeah. Well now him and Marlow a lot of money, yeah, a lot of bitches, a lot of out like damn ship hard. I liked them allow too, like you know what I'm saying. So I'm like that I started listening to this shit. Oh it was a few of them that came out while I since I've been gone gone on, you know what I'm saying, Like a couple of guys and went out
when I had went in and shit. But yeah, Tho like he was one of the man one out riding to working out too and shit out riding out that motherfuckers. The little baby was talking and Ship what up? Did you get out with just like notebooks full of shit? Yeah? I got out like five, just ready to go. Yeah, I got to keep it with me. Yeah, so you you still got the notebooks? You got it
on me right now? Can we see him? Yeah, break this shit out you let's see because I was wanted that, like, like I feel like if I was as talented as you are, I was like, yo, I'm want to take this time to write songs, which is what you did. You can walk in here and say right now, come to this dame and I got fire to reds often do that right here, right now. I'm gonna make that money right here, right now, Like yeah, you got hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gets versus ready to
go up straight up? Take this ship out, Jesus, this ship. I be well man, when you win and you win it, let's see that here. I don't want to touch your bag. I don't know what else you got in there, maybe another one hundred thousand dollars or something, know, yo, All this ship so this is all from jail. All this ship from the jail, this ship from the bump. This is crazy, man, is there any organization to this. You just kind of go through and find boom out of
all this ship. I probably dropped, like feet there, this is ship. Could we show the show this camera? This is crazy. This is my set right there. That's I mean, all right there, that's my that my do you you pull from this still? Yeah? Yeah, it's what I work out for. That's amazing, man, that's what I work out for right here, that's amazing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Rappers, you still gotta write, man, stop playing. Yeah, put that pain to that paper. I'm gonna get that pin in the
past song good now. Don't get me wrong. Some niggas good, Yeah they are. But I do feel like when you write it, it's more like every line has more of a purpose as to where when you punch in, I feel like you're kind of trying to rush through shit. You're just saying shit and you be and like every engineer appreciate it. Every engineer that I'd have ran across, they'd be like, damn, I ain't never seen nobody record,
Like yo, you know what I'm saying. I going there like I probably can knock ten songs out an hour. I be done, Like yeah, I mean, I mean I've been I mean, I have recording studio, so I've been in the studio with a lot of artists and the punch and shit. I understand the like I understand why people do it. But at the same time, if you're if you're an engineer, I can understand you get tired. All right, remember me back right here. This guy knows he's done it a million times. But that's not just
it not just because I got it on paper. But like I said, I use my time constructive like, so a lot of time when I was in the Ceale, I used to just believe it or not go through this ship, paid for paid, wow, and just wrap it. And then ifody when I get tired, I bootmark or I stopped it. Next day, let's do it again. That's amazing. Man. Now you're sitting there, motherfucker by myself and just go like all right, they need to say this and they need to come back like this. They need to Yeah,
was it like, were you like rapping a lot? Like? Were you like in terms of like where there any ciphers going on? Niggas used to try to give me the wrap, but they knew you were a rapper, right, Yeah, But I won't with this ship, right, Yeah, I'm here to do my time. I ain't. I'm not here to entertain everybody. Now. I'm doing time, man, now, don't get me wrong. It's been a couple of time. Excuse me. A couple of good men, A couple of good men.
We're getting to sell or smoke up some joints and ship people like Bronna spit us one y'all, two three on. Let y'all see how I'm finn call damn you Finna fuck the streets over this ship and stay out there. Man with ship like this, So y'all, I have, but
not just no free just in the Union of the Revoo. Yo. You had talked about this a bit with Wallow about because I have two of my big cousins who've been incarcerated most of their life, and anytime I talk to them, or when they would get out and I would talk to them, something you brought up is something that they also brought up. They're locked up in Arizona, so the politics are a lot. It's a lot of race related ship, you know. But they would always tell me about these riots,
like when the prison riots would pop off. Shit would be crazy people dying. I heard you talk about you ain't even got to be involved in it, That's what I'm saying, Like they would because something she can pop off between some mom and that one nigga that they never liked it you and you don't even not know that this is opportunity to get you so because it's a free fraud bingo. But you ain't even in it, right. But once it go up, it go up, and then you got all the police is running to this area.
When now a nigga that stole you looked on you with a knife or you know what I'm saying, like this shit get wicked, You get wicked like this shit, it's a whole different world nowg No, I already know.
Is it something like where you like, was it ever a point in time during a situation like that where you felt like, you know, it was close for you in terms of you know, wrong time, wrong place, or I mean, you know what I'm saying by me being affiliated with an organization, it's been a time where I felt like it was old when I was like, you know what I'm saying, get bumping head with my organization, you know what I'm saying, Like you know because it
gets physical, you get what I'm saying, Yeah, physical or some saying like when you break certain rules and shit, and I feel like that, damn, I might not make it that this motherfucker I know me, You know what I'm saying, Like, I ain't good with authority, not the police, but guys in the organization. I ain't, you know what I'm saying. So I always stayed in some bullshit because I won't good with with with I went good with you know what I'm saying, motherfucker telling me what to do? Yeah?
And then also shit, I mean, no matter where you're affiliated, at least from when I heard once it becomes prison, everything changes in terms of like structure or the politics, the rules, everything, just it's a whole new game, right different, Yeah, different different, Yo, you got locked up in twenty seventeen, right yup. So the whole rap game was in a weird place then because it was kind of like obviously, like I feel like twenty seventeen, it was like peak
cloud rap shit, soundclouds shit. It was a lot of goofy antics on Instagram and a lot of rappers are getting signed just because they were doing dumb shit on the Internet still is, but not as bad because it got it was bad like twenty seventeen, twenty eighteen, it was rough, but also like you went in and like Memphis was bubbling right, but now you're out and it's like the forefront of hip hop. Yeah, Memphis, Like Memphis
like the thing when it comes to your far. I think it's the I mean it's I think it's the number one city too, and much being biased, shout to Atlanta. And also I think Detroit's bubbling right now. Florida. Obviously, different parts of Florida have been doing their thing, but I think just Memphis has had the choke hold for
the last few years. Most different like got their own you know what I'm saying, But like Memphis, bring a lot of Memphis, bring a lot of the sauce, the season into the rap guy, yeah, lingo, a lot of things we say, like you know what I'm saying, like the way we deliver, people picking up on this ship and people starting to speaking more, you know what I'm saying, Like they say we country, but now they like it. Well,
now everybody sounded like they're from Memphis. They use it, and they're using Southern beats everybody using take keys Keith, Yeah, everybody using you know what I'm saying, Uh, these certain take keyp from Memphis. Yep, you see what I'm saying. So because I'm thinking, like twenty seventeen, obviously Dolph is still uh you know, killing it. Rest in peace to Doll God, he's still killing it. Black Youngster was doing
this thing at that time. But now like fast forward and it's just like, man, everybody's signing somebody from Memphis, if God he hasn't already signed him. And then you got like just this whole young croper artists that are like just yeah, I just think it's dope to see. What do you think it is about? From before you went into now, do you feel like everyone's moving more in the same direction, Because it did feel like there was a lot of division in Memphis prior to Uh,
I would say probably before you got locked up. It felt like a lot of people, I mean not to say they don't have issues now, but it feels like there's more of like a unified front. Maybe I'm wrong. I can say that it's just forbidding, which is all right, right, I mean, you know, yeah, but yeah, I guess I guess you could say that, you know, but I mean if you respect money, I don't respect money. That's fair. I don't expect money. So you know, like if I
fuck with you, I focus. But I'm still getting over the hump of or not respecting money. You see what I'm saying, because like you, it's it gets. It's to the point now where like you know how they say, you know how they say a lot of people be be be be a sheep in wolves clothing. Definitely, I feel like today you got to be a wolf in sheep clothing. That you get what I'm saying, Like you got to like like they see a real one coming, they see somebody who really authentic, who really about it,
they tend to stray away from you. They almost want you to be your worst self. Yeah, they almost want you. They're they're scared of of you. So you gotta be You gotta be extra night. You got to be a wolf. But you got to put on sheep clothing. But and back in the days it was I ain't nigga sheeps and wolf clothing, right, but now it's vice versa, Like
you got to be a wolf. If you're a wolf, you got to put on sheep clothing, cause like, like they say, like you a wolf run into a pack of sheep, everybody's gonna scram But if you're a wolf and you put on some sheep clothing, you might get into some rooms. Even you gotta blend in. You gotta blend in because like if you try to just be too real, too authentic, they gonna shut you out. They ain't gonna So this was me the most because I
can't be who I am. I can't be who I am, like not far on the violence till but I can't say what I want to say, Like I can't you know what I'm saying, because it'll fuck up so much, so much business, right, And it's like especially nowadays because you see it, man, this cancel culture shit is real and motherfucker's are so like worried about like the brand or worried about like you know, like I think I think you hit it on the head. I think nowadays you gotta kind of you know, you got the fake
it till you make it. I'm going to play the game to a sense, man, And I think that's all I mean, that's always been the case, you know, But I think a lot of people have kind of because back then, like tupa them, they would be in them. I was gonna say, but I think a lot of people in the last like four or five years since since you know, you've been down, have probably showed you
the path not to go. They kind of made those mistakes for a guy like you to come in and see that and be like, oh, well look I'm gonna move this way because there's a big picture, there's a bigger play here. I got that I had to give with the program. Yeah, I had to get with I'm looking at but but but I'm not be literal in them or I'm not saying they lived in a man.
I'm saying they smart. Yeah, of course they smart. But at the same time, though, like the part that irk me is like, don't act like that when you really I ain't liked it, you see what I'm saying, Like they get your money staff Also like I think too, like with anything, you should want to have gross right, you know what I'm saying, So like, while you still want to be yourself right in order for you to grow fully, whether that's bring your family to certain things
that you know, give them certain things that they never had before. Establish certain situations for your career, right that are bigger than just the rap shit. You know what I'm saying. We just saw Yo Gotti by the fucking soccer team. You know what I'm saying. That's the kind of shit I feel like. You know, at the end of the day, nobody wants to stay the same. But to answer your question, is getting better. It's getting better.
And I think, like the situation me and money bay your head, I believe they helped a lot of people out, you know what I'm saying, Like me and him coming me and him reuniting and coming back together and showing the city the culture like like you can you can't get over moved past stuff? Yeah you can. You know what I'm saying. I didn't seen. I didn't seen real ganinster, like in the streets that have bodies on both sides.
I seen them come together just for the for the you know what I'm saying, Like you know what I'm saying, for the betterment of the youth. You know what I'm saying. I didn't seen it, you know, so it could be done, but a lot of people pride in the way and then a new generation they just I don't know what elp. We got to stop the interview real quick. Go do that, and let's get back to the interview. Yeah, I'm not familiar with h whether or not you had a relationship with Dolf or whether or not it was good or bad, but obviously losing him for the city of Memphis was a big
deal for hip hop in general. What what was you know, the severity of that loss just for the scene out there, man, I mean, like I said, I was incocerated when it happened, right, so I couldn't I ain't really just feel that fake I just knew it fuked up. Damn like like damn, like, you know what I'm saying, but I never got the food it fike, you know what I'm saying. Because but now that I'm not here and I'm like, damn, no, dolf,
you know what I'm saying. But you know, when it come to death, I embraced deaf like that's on some personal shit. That's a whole nother conversation. But I don't look at deaf too bad, like I embrace it like what it is we live to die. Yeah, I mean I feel like too. You live a certain way, you kind of gotta brace yourself for death at all times. And not just if you live a certain way. It could be anybody, not the knock on wood. But you can even have a rig. It's written, whatever gonna happen
is gonna happen. All you can do is try to prevent it's way you can. But when it's your time, it's your time you can't run from. It's one thing you can't run from. You can't run from it. So when it comes to dem like, I ain't the one to just be like oh, because I'm really like I understand it gotta heave it. It got and I know it's a conversation that motherfuckers don't like to have, but
I ain't gonna lie to myself. That's fair man. Something else that obviously, uh you speak about in your music, h Yo, talk about because I think a lot of people don't realize, like the pimp and culture in Memphis. It's like this big deal, you know what I'm saying. That is like kind of like a side to the
to the game. Obviously it is the game, but aside to the streets that I don't think we hear about it left anymore because when I was a kid, we had so many artists like too Short, and just so many artists do or die, you know what I'm saying, And I don't you don't hear about it as much anymore in music? How big is that culture in Memphis still to this day? Like not to say you're involved in that the but I just mean Memphis, you know, Memphis staying for making Easter money, pimping holes and style
making ease and money, pimping hose. It's serious, you know what I'm saying. And like like I tell everybody like that this conversation come over like Memphis, Memphis and Memphis. Pimping is like selling we it's different breakage though, like you got you got niggas who pimped junkies, m you got you know what I'm saying, Like it's just different breakers. You got niggas who you know what I'm saying, it's just same ship as people who say fucking feeding all
lace drugs. It's just it's just it's just in your it's just in your bloody self. Bullshit. You got lame niggas. You ain't even got to be a gangster to be a pimp. You ain't got to be a killer to be a pimp, Like you could be a straight lame And do you got niggas that ain't gone. I ain't gonna busts a grape and welcher yard like. But they pimping like you know and I tear you ain't pimp. It's a non context boy p like. I don't want no problem. I don't want nothing to do with no smoke,
you know what I'm saying. But there's some pimping. So if the brackets are pimping, uh dope, fiends what's the highest bracket the ass bracket when you get up and corporate like extortion, Like if a senator comes into extortion, it get crazy. I ain't gonna put out it after, but it gets crazy. It's it's a it's a darker side to it, like like if a private investigator like needs a girl to set up some rich guy. No, take some crazy pictures like you see it in the
movie Bingo. Now you're balking up the right. Look, I need you to get this senator, but ass naked, strapped to a fucking bed, and I'm gonna have somebody across pawn Stars, your own porn company, like it get deep, like it gets a whole lot more deeple yo. But when you went in like only fans wasn't popping right now. So now only fans is like this whole thing back Page rest in peace. No, no, listen. I'm a married man, but I am very aware that back Page is no
longer a thing. First they got rid of Craigslist, then Backpage with now the bitches are on only fans. Yeah, I don't even know. I mean, the don't understand only fan. You know a lot of guys are like managing women on only fans. I have friends who do it. There's rappers who do it. Who were we just talking to the managers? Girls? No, now a Little pump Tiger does it.
Adam twenty two from No Jumper does it. But I feel like it's kind of like, I guess it's kind of like having your own porn site, but it's like it's like, you know, instead of you get paid once, like eight hundred dollars to shoot a scene, you get paid residual income off your content. So a lot of women, you know, are I thought you were gonna hit that motherfucker? Are you? I mean, this guy bring that thing over here. I ain't smoking, and I'm straight. This is a monster.
This is a fucking this is a finger. That man got a whole gorilla fan over there. Oh wait, you couldn't have it. Okay, that's got small fast ship, you know, but only fans. Man shout out to only fans. The pandemic had that shit. I don't know. I don't spend anything. You can get all the only fans content for free on Reddit. That's neither here nor there. But yeah, so in twenty seventeen, backpage was still a thing. That's crazy. I feel like backpage has been gone for like ten years. Yeah,
shouts the backpage. When I was a kid, there was a streak in Phoenix, Arizona called Van Buren and it was like the main track, right, so we would like I was like twelve thirteen, my cousin was fifteen. We'd take my parents' car and we used to ride up and down Van Buren fucking with prostitutes. We'd like this. We would just troll them. We would throw water balloons out of him, all kinds of shit. But it was
it's crazy, and we got chased by a pinpoints. Actually it's yeah, because we hit a chick with a water balloon and uh, and then we got chased down by a dude and escalade and we got away. But it was it was pretty fucking It was crazy because now, like the Internet just changed the whole ship's wild. But yeah, the world has changed since you've gotten out. I'm loving just man, I was. I was telling Dwight Yo, one
of my favorite records is back End Record Bros. When I first heard that record, I was like, Oh, this dude is like special, you know what I'm saying, Like, I feel like I can't wait to hear what the album is sounding like. It's gonna be one of them things I litter you hear one or two on before we leave. What is uh for you? This album? It's gotta it's got to be a big statement for you when we get in the album. We know Gucci's on the album. Obviously that records out. We'll probably put this out.
What's Day we'll probably put out Friday, Friday or Monday release. But it's coming coming soon. If it was gonna be at of the Day out because I'm finna announce it soon soon soon, but I don't want to fuck up the announcement date, so that's fair. But I'll give you a couple of before we leave. But yeah, it's ship. This ship gonna be madeor like outside of the Gucci whose we got Quapo on there, we got uh, we got the baby and we got a Gucci mind we see him and uh, we got money Bag you. Of
course I got money Bag you on now. So this ship be yeah, like next level. Yeah, this ship can be hard, like this is what the Street's been missing. Like I know that, what do you? Because you know from your perspective what's missing and besides yourself, just in terms of content, in terms of musically, what do you think is missing that you're providing, staying hard on the bitch the way that the way the bitch is hard
on a nigga. And then they just buying down tricking and buying all types of ship like, which is cool, like I ain't tripping, like do your thing like, but don't you fucking the game. We just out here just buying push it like because now it's making it making it hard for a nigga that just hit the bitch for free. How the funck I'm gonna come, How the funk I'm gonna compete with the nigga go boun fucking buying a bitch and fucking burking bag. Yeah, I'm gonna
compete with it. I ain't got nothing but a meal for the whole. Yeah, I ain't got if that all you got this honey packing some jack in the box. No, listen, I ain't tripping. I get the bitch some burgers and ship like like for real, like I get the bitch of burger of course, but brom like, I get those like she wants to smoke some weed, get those weeds yilt right, Yeah, booty here to take it back, and and and yeah, that's real. That man looks shout to
the city girls and city girls at all last four years. Yeah, let me get that. Like they've been going too ham like. Like they've been going too ham like the Scales back. I'm from menfit. We don't do that. We don't, we don't. We don't get that like that, like you know what I'm saying, But I get it, man, But them niggas then fuck the screez up like, well, I'm in jail, like they like my sister did this, sister, I'm like, yeah,
then I'm listening to the city girls. I'm listening to everybody break a trick and this I'm like, damn, they hard on the boards out there, man, Like I'm like, nah, man, I got to stand up for this shit. I'm from Minfy like. So now it's like, nah, bitch, socking to my pockets. So now I'm trying to make all the real men like, nah, beat socking to my pocket. Put it in my mit, let me get that. So hopefully I be the one that changed the wave. You're gonna
tell the scales back in the other direction. Man, we can't be going for this shite. Make them make them old, come clean, they was heard to, Yeah, come clean like the white machine. Them old needs to what they were doing back in the day, putting a nigga hand. It's gonna go back to that, fucking with me. It ain't gonna beat these no more. Like we can't set up a whole generation of young women to think that they could just be pretty and get rich off of dude
exactly exactly wh ain't going for this shit? He said, put it in my mid put it in my meeting. Hey, what up y'all? Bootleg keV got to stop the interview to tell you about our newest sponsor. Underscore Lost Vegas. Let's get back to the interview. You gotta do a song with too short man to show or rapping forte one of these just og like or are you familiar with sugar Free? No, sugar Free man, you don't know sugar Free? Oh man? Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait listen. I gotta do this on camera because I want you to hear this song. It's called why You Bullshitting by sugar Free. It's the greatest pimp song of all time, straight up, one hundred percent.
This is this is a legend. His name is sugar Free. Yeah. To listen to what he's saying. Uh, his verse is disrespectful. Yeah, wait here comes you know what I'm saying, No, no woe, but I smack a bit. This fool said, yeah, yeah,
she used to be my house. She used to sell her pussy down in he talks about like what is what's the what's the song where he talks about sucking uh selling this bitch get Oh no, he's like, for the for the lovely price of three that died all you can have my bitch, sugar Free man, you got it. That's the world has to make this happen. Please please mob Tize Speaking to mob Tize, how did you end up linking up with with mob Tize and Jay Prince Jr. I was doing time and I had heard about him.
I actually I actually had already wanted to work with him, you know what I'm saying before I met him. But I met him through Uh. I met him through one of the artistic or nine brazen. I met him. That's how we like literally linked in, you know what I'm saying. Like, and I found out he was saying fantom music and ship. So I end up chopping it up with him, and shit, we clicked instantly, like before before any type of contract or anything. He was there for me. You know what
I'm saying, fucking women and ship a long way. I feel like, uh, people who don't know this is the guy who discovered Drake, you know what I'm saying. I would hope naturally I could just see Drake just just randomly jumping on a song out of nowhere, like the back end remix or something, or has Drake listened to your ship? Like is he a fan tangle or release? No information? No, you guys have a song together. Nah, it'd be cool. You have something, it'll be cool. Is
it on Fuck the Streets? Jed Wade? So after drake vocals came in, Ah, you know, you know you'll see what we see. You'll see I got a big surprise, you know. Some might say Drake has a lot to do with the simping, though, so there might be a clash in uh in Mid States when it comes to females. He is the same god. He's the sixth God, and he is the same god. He might be the ultimate trick and that's okay. No, No, Kanye West said he'll buy a bitch of house, So that's pretty crazy. He
just said that in an interview. See, let me tell you something that I believe, Like, I believe that if I believe that, you you get what you get, you get what you give. Like, so in order for me to do something for a bitch, she got to do something for me first, but she got to break the ice. Yeah, I ain't gonna be the first one to break the ice. And you ain't gonna just be able to buy me no ear pads or some ship or a pair of air forces. And you got to buy me some big ship.
If you buy me some forces, then I'm gonna buy you some forces. Yeah, I'm not gonna say you can't buy me forces and then you get a bag Bengo. That's I fucking love that precedent. We're setting Like, no, you buy me a Rolex? How about you a Rolex? Bengo, Like you can't, like you can't, like you know what I'm saying, you can. It's cool to fuck with it.
Go for anybody. If you buy me a bottle of cologne for Christmas, because you're a broke as fuck, And this is the most unthoughtful gift anyone can get somebody, right then you're gonna get some fucking perfume. Bengo. I love it, you know, so you don't you know you get what you give. I love that show for me, it's my live yo. What I love about Memphis is the way you guys pronounce music music mrsic man, everybody, that's the one word. If I just hear him say it,
I'm like, you're from Memphis. Have you been able to link up somebody who I love as well from the city, who's immensely talented and is having a great run right now? It's glow? Really, have you guys linked up? Not Sh'S coming soon though. Yeah, she's bringing a great energy. She's moving, I'm moving. We you know what I'm saying. I feel like together on a song, you guys would fucking SPADs
because you guys each have such unique tones. That's one of the first things I picked up about you was like, man, your voice, your tone is is is very unique right now. So yeah, we were just it's crazy. We were just talking about this ship today. Nah, man, my people go to make that we got some ship that we Yeah, we're trying to, but you know, we both moving a lot, we both you know what I'm saying, So you know
it'd be hard, kind of hard to bump up. And then most of us you want to get in a lab J B wanna do you want to feel the energy that's you that wants that. I mean, I have seen that with artist's period since I've been out, like niggas be like, I'm trying to like in because that's the difference I think nowadays is that people don't get in the studio together anymore. Yeah, Like I meant, look at much shit happened in the hip out of course in the world. Yeah, and the hate and jitus in
all time, that's real. I feel like the safer move is to like just send me the session. I mean yeah, but like because you know, you go to the studio, you don't know whose entouragers are there, you don't know what the fuck's going on, you know what I mean? Like right, yeah, it's it's definitely since twenty seventeen, we've lost a lot of people in hip hop. Like you said, the temperature is just a lot different than it's ever been,
you know what I'm saying. And that's not even just in rap music, that's anywhere like out here in La shit is crazy crazy because everybody a rapper, like you dropped one song and you a rapper, and then when you die, they'd be like, oh rappers such and the kill or don't who he wasn't even know real rapper. He just recorded a song and now they got the game looking like all rappers dying and then they get a say, cheese TV post because they got two songs.
You know, yeah, no, you want no rapp or rapper. You won dedicated your life to it. You it was your hobby. You know what I'm saying, Hey, at what point in time did you feel like you stopped taking Like when did rap become full time for you and not a hobby anymore? Because I feel like everyone has that period of time where you start taking this like serious, like you know, obviously you start rapping, you try to
fuck around with it, it starts to work out. When did you decide to kind of like go ten toes in, two feet in on the on the rap shit shit, when I just wanted to did the bed. That was it. That was the difference. It was like I'm ready, like I already. I always had the tenant. And like I said before I went in, I dropped going straight in song, and that motherfucker was climbing while I was in concentrated.
I went to jail. It was an eight million views and I came home it was like it what forty six forty seven million views, like like this without promotion, this without a label, this was like the honest way to go. This is without me, right, this is without youah me. Like this ship was growing while I was inconcrated. So I'm in jail, I'm like, damn, this ship can actually Then I'm getting rawty chicks in jail from off destro kid. Wow. So I'm like damn, Like this ship, Hey,
you're on distroc kids, You're keeping all the money. Yeah. Then but now I got the distribution deal with it, getting all the bread. Yo yo, yo yo. So that's when I knew, like, all right, boom, I gotta way. I got away. I can get out the streets. I ain't got to come back to this ship at all. Like I'm gonna get out of jail. I'm putting both my feet and this ship and put my man, my heart, my soul, my blood. I sweat my tyror and this ship, and I'm gonna go like I ain't. I ain't feeltting
nothing of nobody fucking my opportunity up. I under feel like this is my last opportunity I got in life. So I'm so so I'm I'm I'm at this ship like like like yeah, that's how it should be. Man, Yeah, I ain't. I ain't going for none of this ship. Who were your big influences would you say to your style to just just on some rapper ship and you growing up, who were like your top three or four guys who were like always man, if you put fifty cent Gucci mane yo, got it and dobebe all in like one pot. Yeah, you get from this two times. I put all them niggas in. All them niggas inspired me some type of way, like yeah, you know what I'm saying, got it was just a mefit,
Like you know what I'm saying. When you young and this was before the internet, Yo, he was on TVT records and dropping the mixtapes of DJ Smalls and Ship back in the day. Yeah, like three six Mafia of course, Like you're hearing that type of shit, Like it's like as a kid, and like I said, like a lot of people don't know about me. I had a musical family, so like all like my mama, my mama casseine, my my auntie casing and dance, my uncle casing and dance.
So it was just a musical house. Like everything was just always music, music, music, you know what I'm saying. So so you know, I grew up around the music. Was the hypnotized mind shit, Like, uh did that have? Like obviously you know, shout out to three six shots to Fraser Boy, shout to the chat, shout to her, Yo, the whole fucking little White triple triple six. How big of an impact did they have? Like growing up just knowing that, like there was somebody else from Memphis that
I mean. They were nominated for an Oscar, you know what I'm saying, Like right right right, I mean that was big for the city. That was that was big as here for the city, like like damn Folk. Then you know the Hustling Flow movie, Like you know what I'm saying, They count of solidified like the culture of Memphis, like we like like that move was real, Like everything about that move was authentic, Like this Memphis, right, there. It was shot in South Memphis. This Memphis every day,
all day. Shout out to Terrence Howard all time performance. Man, I believed it. Yeah, this ship, this ship was hard. It's hard, like that's how it is. What's your favorite album of all time? Man, I ain't gonna lie. I ain't gonna lie, Like I can't even save my favorite hour of all time. I can give you probably like my top three, give me three. You got get rich of that Trying by Yo, got it by fifty, I mean by fifty, and you got Life by Yo, got it okay, and you got dough three by Dbe Okay.
Doob was like somebody who's still I feel like his life was cut so short, his career was cut so short. Being from Alabama, it still fucked me up there. People don't be knowing Dobe. Yeah, Like you know, I feel like kind of he was like the guy who was gonna take grand hustle to that next level and really put on for a state. You know what I'm saying, Like being from Alabama, Like, yeah, he's crazy man, so rest in peace too. Yeah. They was fucked up though,
like that that hurt me, like they fucked me up. Yeah, yeah, they fucked me up. Well listen, man, hopefully we get the soon. We're gonna be announcing it soon. Oh yeah, yeah, I'm gonna be announcing it real song, real soon. Yeah, song with Drake coming real soon. Don't do that, don't do back end remix featuring Drake coming real soon. That'll be hard, That'll be hard to stay tuned. Also, well, did you guys lose Kodak Black at Atlantic too? Ah? I was gonna say get I would for some reason.
I feel like you are Kodak would go crazy. It'd be a lot easy because you guys supposed to be label mates. But I'm not sure that's the case anymore because I heard he left. Hey, you know what, great timing because you guys got him now, young boys out of there. The budgets are all yours now because young skate shit. Well, hey, congrats on the situation with Atlantic.
Congrats on that. Man. Just the music is great, bro, your energy is dope, and I feel like, yeah, man, I feel like you're gonna be one of them ones bro a most diffinitely, I supposed to have been right here. I just I just couldn't stay out of jail. I ain't had like you needed the jail the most. Definitely, Like a lot of people, a lot of people might look at my situation like a bad thing, Like I needed this ship. That was it was. It was a
blessing and it was a gift and a curse. It was a courage because I was gone away with my family and my kids and shit like that, like you know, but it was, it was. It was a gift because like I needed the discipline, I needed the time I needed to sit down for a little bit. I need I needed for my life to flash for my ass shout facing thirty years Jesus, So my life flashed for
my ass. Like when you get to a point where you sitting there, motherfucker, and you looking at the concrete wall and the TV, and you're like, damn, this is what I'm finna have to do for the next thirty year, And you know what obviously worked out? You only did five right. Is it safe to say that had you not got in acarcerated, that you might, like you ship might have went who another direction for you in terms of like making might not even be here. That's why
I don't regret it. That's why I don't regret it. Yeah, that's when the same way death written, life written, and everything ain't having for a reason. But I feel like you have a choice. Some people have a choice. You have a choice to go left or right. What would
be before you go? Man, some advice you would give to anybody who's watching this, who's a fan of you, who's mixed up in the wrong shit, who's kind of like at a crossroads in their life, trying to maybe trying to dig their way out of being wrapped up in streets. I ain't got I ain't got nothing to say for a motherfucker that got their freedom, because long as you got your freedom, you got a chance. But
for the people who I got, I got motivation. For the ones incarcerated, Yeah yeah, talk about that like the ones who I won't let the ones incarcerated, you know, like, man, you got a chance, like you can actually come home and do these shit. You can make a living, not
just off of music. Like like I said in my last inter if you out of sen dudes, I just seen dudes take twenty twenty five dollars or for comings here and turning into eighty ninety thousand, come home with eighty ninety thousand or buying box trucks and eighteen wheelers and shit from behind balls, you know what I'm saying. So I want to encourage them, the ones who are already doing it, and the ones that's not doing it, they're still behind balls. Man, get yourself together, because ain't
everything in jail free. You get free draws, you get states soap, you get free lights, free water. You know what I'm saying. Three meals a day, draws, and shit costs out here, washing powder, bleach, all this shit costs. It's yeah, this shit costs. You ain't gonna eat though, three meals out here for the free ninety nine electricity. So I encourage them to man, get on your shit while you're in there, because it's hard out here. It
ain't easy, you know what I'm saying. For the ones who free, just know your freedom can be taken away from you. So man, take advantage of being free. That's the best. Now you can have your freedom of your life. Wow, man, twenty five dollars a conversation flipped it in the night work. I have seen it, bro, Wow, I haven't seen it. I seen a dude do twenty. I seen the dude
do twenty. You I ain't see it. But I met him like my last year and a half, and man, he told me how he got started, wife left whatever, whatever, whatever and shit, and think he had like forty fifty six dollars to the nine and he started on a store. And what you do here, what you do here, a nigga can come to your sell now, you gotta sell
full of shit. You got the tato chips, you got the nugged balls, you got the soap, you got everything that say your family ain't fortunately you say you ain't got no money, and you just won twenty five dollars of the Domino game. You could take this twenty five dollars and take it to him and say, hey, man, I need twenty five dollars worth of shit, and he got it. You got a choice to either you can send it to his book or you can send it
to his cash out to the streets or whatever. But nigga like me, I want trust nobody to cash out. Put this on my So you got niggas who are doing time. They just build and build and build and build and build and build and building, and before you know they come home one hundred two hundred up like fifty sixty seventy thousand, like, you know what I'm saying. So I want to encourage them, you know what I'm saying, to stay on your shit, like because it ain't easy
out here. Ain't that the truth? It ain't easy out here. Well, look, I appreciate you pulling up. Man, it's all good, and I'm glad we had to make the midnight interview happen. And I'm looking forward to the album. Man, say that there it is, Say that for that's two times boom
