G Perico, Yeah, yeah, yeah, Dupre, Jnari Yes, sir, okay, well Prico, you were just on the show. Yeah, so you gotta tell me what is going on? So I just I wanted to bring the click with me. Okay, p you know what I'm saying. You hurting woo woo woo. Legendary. First of all, you guys are some legends in the
city man on some on some producer ship. Like I feel like you guys, ah don't get enough credit the League of Stars in general, just as a unit, it was very much synonymous with the West Coast sound that was popping nationally in facts. So salu to y'all appreciated people who don't know who you guys are what you guys have made. You guys have made some amazing songs that we all know. Just kind of give us a rundown, you know. Uh yeah, So so mine goes start and
from like tie me Down. I did a time Me Down. Shout out to Ray Jna time the New Boys. What happened to the New Boys? Man, that was a great record. Man, It's unfortunate, but yeah, like they had a cool run. One of them was fucking t Nase before anyone who to Nash was I liked to Nash, I remember we were too Look we had a concert. I think it was like I don't want ninety one of them big concerts at one of them amphitheaters and yeah, I'm like I told Earl when I was with rock Nation, I'm like,
take me to meet right quick. You know what I'm saying. Took me come out? What's up? You know what I mean? Nice? Tie me down? Yeah? So I did, tie me down. I did, like well for Problem, I did, like why why? Yeah I did. I don't want to for Eric Bellinger, don't want to. Yeah, thought for Game I remember the Thought record. Yeah. Yeah. Then you know, just a bunch of a bunch of other random ship like I did
high right now for Tyler yahweh's part of that. Shout out to Tyler, shout wait there was a remix to that too, right with with Whiz. Yeah, Tyler looks like Whizz's doppelganger or his legitimate child. That was the perfect person to get on that. But yeah, you know, and then recently I just been doing you know, I did to play the Win. Executive produced it nice. You know there it is played the Win. I was on the five Free Wing and the bench Fast Gang did a
gang all right, what about you man? God damn. The free bro Ship produced the walk through for Richond mcquinner. Problem. It's a big record, produced down for Easy shout out too, and uh ship a lotto, yeah big, a lot of my bad lot of but uh and then I produced l summers for like the four Project, and then we got Tango that's about to drop next Friday. She got more ship than that. I mean that's just I'm a man, you know. And then some ship that I got coming uh next week, I got we got Tango. Then I
got a record with Ruby Rose dropping next Friday. Have you only got with Ruby Roads? I haven't yet. She finds the motherfucker. It's cool, though, I mean, I'm just good on the production with HER's all good, you know. Yeah, I'm just wondering, like I've been contemplating, like I've never signed up for an Only Fans account, but I know she has one, So I was just wondering if you guys have seen it, because I'm like not even know.
I wasn't where she Well, they do got reddit right where you could just get ready, Yeah, everything is free already. What'd you say she should feature me on our Only Fans featuring Prico? I mean, you know, I did do the bio pick with the Porno Store, but y'all got that record coming. That's co produced with my boy Extendo and Mike Crook Shot I e we, I just saw two you posted. Your first plaque was with Tiger first
platinum plaque. Yeah, I produced four records on the legendary Well on his last album he dropped and that was the album. Was that the that's the one we had taste on it? Oh yeah, I mean yeah, that's the one. Yeah, thank god I was a part of that. So yeah, I went that was like come back album. Platinum. That was the comeback album right there. Yeah, we thought Tiger was dead. They said nope, peers didn't. We actually got
some come actually for his next ship. So Tiger's a beast. Yeah, you know he always come with that one or two. That's how you know, don't get it. You can't give this ship up, you can, you can't give up. I always tell everybody's always a hit away. We were just talking about riche on m Kwan, right. Rich On m Kwan was like that motherfucker. He got into a shitty label situation. His label wasn't letting him release music and then like I don't know, just just shi it was.
It just ain't what it was, but he had it though, and he could get it back. He still is one record away. Like think about it. T Pain last year had the top twenty or top ten song of radio. He really did this song Withny that was his record. Yeah, he sampled himself that I need to sample walk through then. So it's like you're just one record away, man, everyone's always one record away. John was one record away about that. He came all the way back. You ain't lying making
cloud he did. He didn't come all the way back, but he came back back yet. But I mean, yeah, you can't. You can't really count people out because you never know. Bouck. I really, I think it's a consistency. Like if you keep dropping dropping, they keep hearing you eventually. That's what honestly, Loki, That's what Tiger was doing. He just kept dropping ship and then something especially caught on, Like you know, there's a lot of that ship, wasn't it?
You know what I'm saying. But it's hard to beat the motherfucker that don't quit, man. That's the truth. That the truth. The one that don't quit always reaped through the rewards. Though, who probably isn't one record away? Is there anybody that's just not going to be able to come back, even with the fire record. I feel it could be anybody, anybody, honestly, especially with like TikTok and like like even if it's funny, you know, like you know, like ships, they got a good beat and the hard hook.
Anybody can come back. I'm sorry, I don't know Vanilla Ice got going you taking. I was thinking I got, but I'm like, man thirty years kame with a hard ass metro booming beat. I think you could get that though. I got on that hurt that new Yeah, I don't know Vanilla Ice got it in them, not even with it was hard. I listened to that ship the other night that hey, that whole backstory on that crazy didn't
you take that record? Somehow he got hung off of a balcony in l A. Yeah, and that's what some nice golden urine peeing the cup and making me drink it though, like I never heard of drink. Is this exclusive information they made? They may be drink piss sugar. I don't know, bro night pissed and allegedly a new alleged information this coming soon, but that this guy was out here drinking that goddamn that Anheuser. Fucking that Anheuser
bush for real? You know what, Jesus, that's terrible. Well, okay, so your new project. You guys are just talking off the record, So you're these guys are handling all the production for the most part, Yeah, like ninety per saying everything, why not make it one hundred percent one hundred percent? Yeah, because I mean that would make Snori touch everything that I do. You know what I'm saying. Make sure we
planned it. Were planning the Pause game. Pause, Yeah, hit all the records and ship everywhere, come in, put de finishing touches on the on the record. Yeah. So you're like, you're like, you're the architect. You are the everything's got to He's the over You's got to go through your hands before it gets to the approval. Touch everything me and do pre due project. He got songs on everything that I did for like the last few years. But yeah,
I forgot the fucking question. Man, we did the Pause game. But yeah, now we were pretty much doing doing the production on everything from you know, the end of I say, the twenty one flood to the hurricane. Yeah, I mean we talked about this a bit. Obviously, you're you love me and you were talking about this in the gym. We talked about on the podcast a few months ago. Just your new situation. You could just do whatever the
fuck you want, whatever the fuck you want. Yeah right, and it's and it's gonna make sense for me in the you know, in the long run. And like up front, like you know what I'm saying, Like we feel good about something, we drop, it ain't gotta go explaining and getting a zillion people behind it and differences of opinions and all that shit make you just hate doing music. Now, we just ay do pre We got to do pre be on me, you know what I'm saying, No rules,
no r Like what is we doing this? Nigga sent me so much music every day, Like we got like a shipload of a shipload of records, you know what I mean. And I feel like what we're doing right now was just like cultivating a new scene in Los Angeles or I mean it's the same scene, but just a new ethic and a new outlook and a new a new way to approach it because like on some real shit, they've been getting boring as fuck out here. Motherfucker. Drop one thing and then play the high celebrities. Shit,
ain't nobody getting dirty. We don't see niggas in the streets driving none of that shit, pulling up out dropping records, doing like nothing, you know what I mean. It's just you know, all internet shit. So you know, we're getting busy with the flood, you know what I mean, just to click and you know, we just opening doors for the I feel like the independent, the independent error, the independent market for this streaming era is untouched, untapped and
stream Yeah. Yeah, I love the streaming. So it's untapped and untouched in LA and it's kind of like still foreign to a lot of people, you know what I mean. So what we're doing is bring in that to the forefront and letting motherfuckers know, like, if you got some good you need to O D go in. Yeah, I gotta ask you because problems Like what was like a moment, a big moment for the city. Man, Like that was
like that was fucking crazy. I just remember that record and like how it cut through just I was living in no I was living in Phoenix at the time, but that song was such a that song changed a lot of people's lives. Yes, how did it, Like, like tell me about that song. It just that, you know, I love that that run Problem was on the Mollywood Runs, Like I mean, you know, I feel like he had it for like, you know, cool three years. I feel like like when I thought of LA I thought a problem,
you know what I'm saying. And he's still doing this thing obviously, but that specific record changed a lot. Yeah. So with that record, like that was the last record that we did on you know that that project and Problem produces hisself and you know, he had the ideal for it and everything, and you know, he just brought it to me and I just kind of put my my mix on it and you know, my drums and and just turned it around like you know, changed the main lead and you know it just went crazy. Yeah.
That for a while, you guys had you guys had the same manager, so he just kind of had the pick of the litter of the League of Stars beats for a while there. Yeah, But that was like at that that was early right, Yeah, at that point, so we was coming out of the Jerk era, and you know, like I had a bunch of records in the Jerk era. I was like popping, you know, and then it died out, which records is you have, so like from the Jerk
era of course tied me down. I did Shia Model for YG and just a bunch of like just random stuff like like everybody that was pretty much popping, and like it started to die out. My name started to you know, kind of fizzle out with it as well, and I started seeing like the pre De Nice, which who are my homies you know from way back, they
were starting to come up. So you know, like I joined Legue Stars and like that was like really my turnaround record because I was just trying to put something out, you know, I didn't have no records out that was tring. Yeah, so at that time, that just that just kind of turned everything around for me and you know like just re you know, introducing myself back into the scene, you know, from going from that fad to you know like, hey, I just saw did the New Boys just release a
new Jerking song? Nah? It just went well, I don't know if they released. I know that it went ReViral, but I heard someone yesterday told me it's randomly because I was just talking about the New Boys yesterday, someone was like, yeah, they just put a new version. Oh, I mean yeah, they wouldn't be surprised. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. I mean it's going up, so it'd be small take advantage, take advo that ship time me down. Wow, I was a joint manah what was their names? Legacy
and ben J. Yeah. I was doing so much illegal shipping around that time. Man ended up getting tied down by the state of Calier literally literally littleco La County over Now, So when you guys are working on G ship, like what is the you know, do you guys collaborate
on stuff like for sure? Yeah, Like we we've been collaborating for like almost ten years now, right, so you know with G stuff, like we both bring a certain sound to G and then you know, now we're just putting it together and kind of like adding our flavors together. So like if you you heard the song, the interview produced the first half of the song, I produced the second half of Oh Dope. See. I like the cohesive, Like that's why I love what hip boys doing with
like Benny the butcher Nas. It's like we were just talking about that, just talking about it's very cohesive. You know, Jam sport J's in there too doing this thing. But like just it's just I feel like right now in hip hop, like you know, Freddie Gibbs, just the whole Alfredo got nominated for a Grammy fully produced by alchemists, but just that cohesive like sound for a project to
me is so like I think it's like clutch. Yeah, for a producer, I think that's important too though, like because like we get so trapped in to chasing placements and you know, just trying to work with like the artists that's hot when you and you will get a hot record and the artists won't even work with you after that. So it's like it's kind of cool to have, you know, like ownership you know, and just build you know, And I think a lot of producers are are kind
of like looking past that. It's another way to make money, build your catalog and really build your legacy too. Yeah, well talk to me about tags because you I don't even what's your tag? God damn it, depreek, goddamnit dupree. I know, sorry, but like the tag shit is so important, and like I feel like there was a lot of producers hit boys. One of them I had a conversation with him or he was like man for the forever,
I would never use with tag. And meanwhile, you know, some of my peers would be fucking so brandable because their tag was so you know. And so now hit Boy's got a fucking tag on every He's got like three different ones he uses. But like it's so important.
How important is like the tag for a producer, because I do feel like there were there's a lot of producers who don't use tag still, but like for like branding and just for like recognition, Like if someone says, like you're Jnari and if they've heard a certain they're like, oh, yeah, shit, I know your ship, you know what I mean? Like,
how important is the tag? Especially in the beginning, it's like detrimental because that's I mean, that's that's you, that's your stamp, that's your name, you know, Like that's how people can you know, like I ain't never seen you, I ain't never heard of you, but you know I heard that tag, you know. So it's important to have a tag and to have a catchy one at that,
you know what I'm saying. Like, I think it's very important though in the in the beginning for show these fucking gummies as strong as how many did you did you just see one? Two? You had another one? You had three of them. Yeah, it's not a micro dose anymore. Look at the back of the back, but is a bit. You're currently in the touch of reality phase. If you look at the back of the tops back, this is
touch of reality. Which one we enter you guys are in the morning micro doves face, you guys had one. Definitely somewhere perfect. I'm definitely feeling realistic right now. You know what I'm saying. I feel good though I'm saying. But yeah, hey, look, oh my god, no, look when he was the tags, I wanted to say something about producers with the tags, right, Yeah, a lot of niggas don't even worry about the beat and just they tag be more important than the beat. Like niggas be having
these crappy as beats. True, but I think like with them, I don't really want to speak for them, but like just with it. Like a lot of good producers, like I think that's the last thing I watch. Motherfuckers just put so much emphasis on the tag instead of making sure that a nigga could rap on this beat and make a dope song. It's like a lot of producers just me speaking from an artist's standpoint. A lot of producers or beat makers, they make beats that's just the groove,
you know what I'm saying. It's a banging ass beat, but it's like, damn where I rap at, you know what I'm saying. So it's like it's just like a special art to having some shit that that knock and somewhere where you could rap at. That's why I think a lot of like these simple beats that niggas shit on. They go because it's somewhere for the artist to wrap on this something. It getting busy and they go. You
know what I mean. A lot of people do great music, but it's like the cohesiveness of the vocals and then hey, we know, we gotta stop the podcast real quick. Shout out to my bookie. Man. There's so many tags with uh eight weight Mafia or beats that I just always I don't know how many people are in the away Mafia, but I feel like every random mass rapper who's a nobody that I know has an eight A weight Mafia fucking like they're like, yeah, I got I got I got stuff with eight owight Mafia. I'm like, yeah, you in fucking ninety eight others? Are we sure these are mafia beats? Or someone just take the tag and put them on their shitty beats and
upsell you. Is that a thing you think? Yeah, definitely, definitely, like almost like bootleg beats loky Like, Yeah, definitely because out to herd some beats with my tag on what the fucking really do nothing? Swear what Nigga's still in bro tag getting on this. You know he's selling them on the line there, you know, like you you leasing them or whatever? You know they getting paid? Do you guys do the online least game because there's good money.
So so I'm I'm gonna get onto it out. I'm just not used to it, you know what I'm saying, Like and I it was me kind of being Hollywood for a second, but I have to really think about it, like how much money you leaving on the table on the table, you know what I'm saying, like being Hollywood, Like, oh, I get this much beat, but then there's somebody that got you know, their beats up and you know one hundred and fifty people bought this beat, you know what
I'm saying, Yeah, like it adds up. So yeah, I definitely I got a homiehoes making like five figures of months who you wouldn't even know just off of fucking because he's his YouTube channels doing this thing, and then people like the type beat game, you know, like putting up the Roddy Rich type beat on YouTube and then the link to Lisa It or whatever. You know what I'm saying, Like, yeah, lod of Great showed me. He was showing me, you know, like what he was doing it,
and you know it made complete sense. But yeah, like I just think like as a producer, like you said, like you know, I manage a couple of producers, and I know that, like the it's just important to monetize everything because if you're always chasing placements, you're gonna be fucking stressed out. It's gonna suck. You're gonna be in a fucking studio session someone like cuts your beads and then you're fucking sitting on your hands waiting to see if you could if you could have if it, is
it ever gonna come out or not? You know, I bet you that's probably happening, y'all. Chasing placements had me like not making beats for like six months. Remember there used to call me like, man, what's up what you're doing? Like where you've been at? Like type ship, but you know until really g is like really what got me back on it? Because like I was, I was in studio sessions, like just uncomfortable, just like hanging out in
studio sessions waiting for your chance to play bids and others. Yeah, yeah, especially if there's other producers there. It's like you would rather, yo, let's get in the studio, let's start on the same you know, everything's Hollywood now too, so you know, like I see it, bro, I see it. I would recommend producers to just find every other way of you know, like making money or you know, like you don't have to just go for like the Drakes and like all
of them, like it's cool, do that too. But because ways, if you focus on only that, you're gonna be hanging out in studio sessions all fucking nd fucking with postmated Boston Nova, waiting for your chance to play your beads and then maybe someone cuts to your bead and then you're gonna be like, all right, cool, is it ever gonna come in here from now? Maybe? Maybe not, Like yeah, it's it's it's it's a man. I commend y'all, because the producer game is a tough one, man, you gotta
make it fun. Y'all really gotta love it. That's like people who do photography and do graphic designs and do all this ship. I'm like, man, y'all really gotta love this ship because I don't feel you don't have to stand on the damn chick all man. That is our bino penis env That is the strain no penis envy. Yeah, yeah, it's a popular strain which camera as strong as a motherfucker this ship. Try just to see another fee. I'm good. I'm good on the level of my mom. Bro. Let's go,
halpen you gotta stand up tripping. You know, I'm finna trip. Yeah, like I'm mature outside. You know what clip of our interview with the most crazy was the Clipper you saying how you eating an edible saved your life? Bro? I think I might be into some today. It might be some ship on the horizon and I need to avoid because I'm going to lay down after that. This ship. I'm going to lay down after this for sure. Oh my god, he you tripping bro this first time. This
is about to be a cold car ride back. Pray for me, all. I got a blunts. The clothes doing awesome, bro, Like super just showed me some cool designs, a little shroom design. Bro, I'm mad that I didn't bring you something and you definitely getting the whole run and them shirts. I'm gonna make sure you on deck after this got you. You rightfully deserved to be the face of that T shirt.
But yeah, the clothes doing great. Bro. It's ships just been opened me up, man, Like It's crazy how music brings so much ship to you, you know what I'm saying, Like I'm doing I'm doing a drop with a with network that works dope. Yeah, so I bought some stuff off of there and then resold it right and they called me to uh to work with them, but not as an artist, as a clothing designer, you know what
I'm saying. You almost rather that, So that was like super dope, you know what I mean, Like, Okay, my brand got me, like getting other looks that music normally just just only music wouldn't normally get me. So I mean, it's doing great, bro. It's people calling we're still in and fucking I'm fucking high as a motherfucker, but we're still in. Fucking uh Damn. I can't say it. I really think where are you still in? The closing line is still in the Is it a store? Yes? Which store?
Let's oh fuck bro. So anyway, the clothing line is in a gang of different department stores. It's in a gang of different retails. We're not a gang of different retails, one specific retail. We mainly online and it's doing great, man, you know what I'm saying. And it it's just showing me how to operate, you know, as a businessman that I need to just have structure around that in order for it to keep going. Because like as an artist,
you could get lucky dropping something one time. Oh this is a dope, ass idea, everybody buy it, fuck with it. But the catch is being able to get them to fuck with it, you know, continuously make it a piece of their lifestyle. You know what I'm saying, make it. You know what I'm saying. You know beyond lifestyle. They
light well life is lifestyle. So you know, just make it it day to day for them, you know what I'm saying, Meaning that every time you drop something, whether it be a hat, ash tray, whatever it is, they with the movement of the brand. You know what I'm saying, And do you like going like fucking when you like, because obviously we're in LA, there's a garment district. You go pick like the pieces you want to put shit
on yourself, or you have other people handle all that ship. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm real hands on if the quality of everything is high.
So it's like I even like I just packed like five hundred orders like myself the other night, you know what I mean, just like fuck it, I'm about to just do this ship, you know what I'm saying, Like like some of the ship though, like some of the ship I signed and did some extra ship for people, but like if they spent like yo, these these fulls, drop the bag, let me throw something in here right right. So you'll catch a rare moment where I pack orders. But for most of the time I just pay somebody
to do that. But like I like to be hands on with as much as possible, so I know, just you know, everything they got to do with the business. Just in case somebody like, man, we can't do this, we can't hold up. I know how to. It's not that hard, you know what I'm saying. Kickback, I can handle it, you know, I mean have you linked up with a David Sebastian yet, David Sebastian, Yeah, yeah, yeah, David Sebastian dope. Man. I remember when I got up
on him was a June teenth. He performed like in front of my shop on Renondo and Ship and I'm like, this dude, dope, Like he commanded the whole He commanded the whole block when he got there and made it a vibe, you know what I'm saying. So I've been on him since then, but we yet to his clothing line is you know he's doing like the like the I don't know if you saw the Kanye is like having homeless people model his clothes. Yeah, that's all through
a collab with David Sebastian's clothing line, skared Row. So I'm up, I should do it. Y'all should do the little you know, a little Blue Tea skied Row collab. Man, it's a no brainer. We gotta do it. And you guys can eat rooms together because he is a troom guy. Super room. Not the gummies. Now, the gummies are it, bro? Natural natural ones. You don't know what natural sign app. You gotta stuff them in like a peanut butter sandwich or something. If I ever get to that point. Yeah,
now that's why you made. That's why you eat these, because these at least you know there's some sort of like guide. When you eat the natural ship, you might get a cap that's fucking ill, you know what I'm saying. I had that. I had that a couple of months. You had experience with the wrong No, no, the capsule it was you had a battery micro dose? Yeah? What was it from one of his friends? Bro? Damn? What
is the bat tript? What was your Like? I was just tripping, like I just was feeling like real weird, Like my head was spinning, like I was sweating a lot, and made me stop taking strooms around that time. Yeah, Like when I laid down, it felt like I was falling, so I kept getting up ship like yeah, and it was it lasted for like two hours. Did you have did you hallucinate? Like did you see anything? No? No, I didn't hallucinate. I did that off edible, like hallucinated
off of an edible. I'm not the devil. That's why I was scared of this, because like I tripped on the edible, bro, So I'm like, yeah, I mean you had is strong. You had two pieces. You had two pieces, but but if you ate that whole bag, you might three of the pieces. But if you ate the whole bag, you might have, like, you know, a conversation with Jesus. Or I would never eat the whole bag. Bro, Just imagine having a conversation with Jesus, like you could never
come back. Like, man, you're gonna change. I do want to talk to him, but just not at this moment. Your whole ship gonna change your whole life Outlook how you approach it? Yeah, why wouldn't you eat the whole bag? You don't want to talk to Jesus, right Bro, that's why we talk. What would you ask Jesus if you if what would you ask Jesus though? Why they ain't hating on me? J I don't know, Like why am I up here talking to you right now? I'd be like, man,
this whole time, I thought no, I thought you wasn't real. Bro, I'm gonna telling everybody stopping fool ship. I'd be like Jesus, look, man, let's make a deal, you know what I mean kind of deal with let me give you, let me give you a he take yourself into to the Lord. You said, well, you're gonna sell your soul to the Lord. Yeah, I already gave my you know, confess before the Lord and everything already did his law. Amen, I'm saved. Could you sell your souldiers to the Lord? I've never heard of
except when you accept Jesus as your lord said. I never heard it like that said. Because you go to the devil and you're telling them, let's make a deal. Right, why don't we just all become scientiflog go to the Lord and said let's make a deal. Yeah, get real money. Hey, I've seen a commercial for Simon Gibson the crazy people, man Looney, Really yo them, Scientologist, fools, you always have money. That's a realized cult. That's that's a wild ship. I
mean most religion is kind of cult. That's right. But like for sure, Scientologist, when you're thinking about it, you got to believe in some ship you've never seen before, I've never really touched you, and believe that it's helping you and changing your life. You know what I'm saying, Which you know, everybody gotta believe in something, right, this this is true. I believe. I just believe in my enterprise clique. You know what I mean. I believe in
you know, I believe in enterprise. Click over Jesus, because you're here in front of me. Enterprise. You heard them. Well, I am extremely I'm very anti religious, so you know, I think a lot of it is all man made. And you know, my thing is just belonging to a specific religion. It's like joining the gang. You're like agnostic. You believe in high powered, believe in God. But there's
just that's for sure belong to. I believe I belong to Broadway Game, but allegedly, well not because I'm a businessman. I'm much more than that. But you know, for a long part of my life I belong to that. But you know right now I belong to this enterprise Click the ship that giant beg tattoo. How painful was that? It didn't hurt? It didn't hurt. You know that ship hurt? Bro? You're calling me like bro, all shading it was from? So was it worse than the removal removed? Don't really
looks like it's hurt. Like they only go over it one time. I'm getting he come into the house after this. You're getting some ship removed what do you get remove my tat on my neck. I'm cleaning up my whole little I don't know what side it's on, but I gotta ta right here. I ain't gonna lie you. You look like you was trying to look comfortable, but you look like you just it's just once. Yeah, they go over it pop or a tye one time and then back. It's like ten minutes and it's gone, and then creation
is over. Oh, because it's a bunch of different treatments, right, it's about it's gonna take about like twelve sessions they said for it to go away. Damn, you smell that dark as a motherfucker, like smell it smell, and then it's like part of my throat, so I could taste it coming through my throat. You could talk when it's come. I'm like, damn, it's this ship even like safe because
I need my you know what I'm saying. Yeah, I'm around end up like fucking goddamn yeah the dl C. Yeah, oh yeah, you need my vocals, you know what I'm saying. I thought about that ship too, like damn if I ever lose my voice, like me being able to talk, you know what I'm saying to like, from the beginning of time, whatever it was, I was selling dope, pimping. You know what I'm saying. I never was a jacker, you know what I mean? Music, these companies walking in
these offices, it's like, I need my I need my vocals. Man, motherfucker can't talk, you know what I'm saying. Talk my way into some bags like over ms set a nigga in blue. You know throughout life that's a lot of money. Yeah, you're I spend money Like It's like I thought about it the other day. I said, damn, how I can't even tell you, Like if I was to put my finger on something like, how did this nigga? How do I make money? Man? I can't just do it. I am people be like, I can't tell you. I just
got ship. I think about, like, well, not ten years ago I was balling into but like, man, times you had times in between. The last time I saw you, you're showing me your new fucking was it an Impala? Were money Carlo? It was a money Carlo. Yeah yeah, you have a serious car issue. Yeah yeah, yeah. I'm on the opposite side of myrole. The keys to that vehicle and car my car's paid off. It's also two thousand and seven Sequoia, but it's paid off, you know
what car. But it's like i' just be thinking about evolution, Like I was driving up. I stayed on Magnolia on the other end of Magnoia when I first got out of jail and ship the valley. Yeah, and the rent was like twelve hundred a month, thirteen under the month, and it's like, man, I couldn't I never live in
no spot like this. And then the home you remember when I said that last night and he's like, oh you boogie, And it's like when I think about it, it's like damn, like think, yeah, for real, when did you get out of the valley? My daughter, my daughter mom moved to l A so just to be able to uh stay for she could be close to her mom and go to a night school. I just moved in there. I feel like, you know, so many artists like will leave LA to go to the valley just
to get away from the hood. But do you feel like so many people have moved to the valley now that it's like still something like you might go to the corner store and running this story because valley is kind of active. Now. We were saying that to look and see see a nigga. I'm like the just the street and me was ready to bust to you. And but it's like in the valley, bro, you know what I'm saying, Like, I'm like, I'm driving this is this
is over a year ago, so it doesn't matter. But I'm like fucking driving down Lankership over here on Magnolia and just Mazzi's crossing the street, you know, like to go by himself to go to Hot Dave's Hot Chicken over twelve months ago. But I was like, yo, and I was like, you know, everybody who's a rapper and they all live like right here, they all record like right here, Like the valley is like I ain't gonna lie miss me in in the valley, within the same
couple of blocks. Everybody got everybody, everybody got a fucking studio over here. It's it's crazy and it only makes sense, like all right, you got the rapper district, you got
the fashion district, you got this, you got that. You know what I'm saying, Like there was a very popular rapper who was on my show yesterday who probably you know, there's some perceived smoke going on with this guy and we're just standing on a corner and I'm just like, yo, man, like yeah, but like we're on the corner of Magnolia and Kuwayne to just hanging out the hood though it's not so it's good. But it's like this, look when
you outside of the ghetto. Because it's the thing about La right every area is it's like it's an army around that motherfucker. So if you caught on any of these blocks, niggas could get online. You know, it's niggas coming out of spots like ship like this. If I bump into somebody that I may have a problem with, you know what I'm saying, We have the same disadvantage and becossible advantage. You're not on your home area. Yeah,
we fishes out of water. So if some crack I still got to get to safety after everything transpire, you know what I'm saying, Or you know, however it might in, motherfuckers still got to get somewhere low. So you know, out here it's all even playing field. How but we ain't looking for that. We're getting money now. I was gonna say, how like when it comes to like some of your younger homies were from where you're from. How
like do you try to give them advice? Do you try to make sure that they're Yeah, like anybody that are listened. But like when I was growing up, I wouldn't like I was a little different though. It's like sometimes I didn't want to hear that shit, but I'll be really hearing that shit. You know what I'm saying. I'll be acting like I ain't trying to hear that, but you know what I said, So you know, I'll just be whoever want to listen and whoever I see
potential in, you know what I'm saying. And when whenever one of the young homies is ready to listen, I know they're gonna come to me. Cause it in the ghetto. Bro's so much like them ass pride like Nigga be so prideful for no fucking apparent reason besides nigga whoop whoop. Don't need no nigga and woo whoop the bullshit that niggas get fed. You know what I'm saying, I don't need nobody. I'm tougher than everybody, this, that, and the other.
I ain't finna be listening to no nigga, no nigga, finna have no over, but not realizing that in this world, like, it's full of people for a reason. People make this shit go around. So you need people, You need relationships, You need somebody that you could get gained from and guide you in the right direction. You know what I'm saying, Ain't nothing wrong with that. So yeah, like, whoever, whoever you want to listen, like, I'm open to like fucking with,
give me niggas all the game that I got for sure. Hey, we gotta stuff a podcast, man, real quick. Appreciate y'all for watching, really mean it. All together at checkout twenty percent off odd Soxofficial dot com. Go show us some love and let's get back to the interview. What would be some producer advice you guys would give to up and coming producers.
I know a lot of producers these days are getting on with like just setting out loops, you know, certain shit like that. Like, what would be some advice you guys would give? So, Like, my biggest advice that I give to new producers is like, first of all, conquer your city. If you can get your city behind you, you know you can expand. And that's kind of like
how I did it. And I will also say just be original, Like there's always like rules to produce and like you need you know, your kicks go here, your claps go here. But you know, like when you're doing melodies and like stuff like that, you always think out the box because if you can make that dope, like, you got a better chance of starting what's new rather than following what's you know everybody else is doing because only a couple of people are going to get on
doing that certain thing. And you know it's always somebody that comes and changes the landscape and that's you know, those are the ones that usually you know, we remember, right, that's real. What about you? Oh, what I would say to up, like to up and cooming producer, say say like like stay consistent and lock in with an artist that like fits your sound because trying I think that's important, trying to chase like you know, superstars. If you walk
in with one guy, maybebe with that one. They're dope, they're on the come up, or they're just someone you believe in and you do a whole project with them and you lock and develop a sound with them. That shit to me is super important. That's like most important, Like that's like a gym. And I would like I would say, like Bill, I would say, like build that, you know what I mean, like like like build relationships, Like don't worry about like that quick check. Yeah, you
built the relationships. You built the catalog. I didn't build relationships with like g Tiger, Like, so I'm always gonna be on like they projects. Yeah, Like nowadays, if you're independent and let's say you're a producer and you're fucking with an artist and y'all do an album dropping on disco kid and just set up the splits and you you know what I'm saying, You're getting paid off of the fucking streams. You know what I'm saying, Like you might not sell ten beats to that artist, but you
guys can be partners on the on the project, you know. Yeah, And that's advice for producers who've been doing this shit for ten years and you know, like are just learning the importance of walking in with the artists versus trying to send out beats and you know, and then just speaking on like sending the beats, I would just add on to just saying like don't get discouraged, like if you send a beat like today, and like the artists don't say nothing or even if they read it, you
know what I mean, like wait the next day or next day, like use that as motivation because I didn't have certain artists. Even with this guy, I send him a beat on Tuesday, he won't get back to me like till next Saturday. You know what I'm saying. But I'm still sending them ship within that process when someone's like, yo, send me a pack, what what would you guys suggest like, because sometimes it's like it's over It's an overkill, right,
somebody will send your paint. I'm saying I'm a texture to beats man because that packs you can get caught up in the loop with then I mean that was another producer. I mean like nowadays, for me, I like to go in and create more than the packs. Like I'll send a couple, but like it's better for me to to actually get in and make something new from scratch with the artists. So that way, yeah, that's real
or just vibee. If I'm not making something from scratch, it'll be good to get in with the artists so we could just vibe up. I didn't got placements just selling the beat. It could be regular, but me just I'm a cool dude, so I'm a vibe with you know what I'm saying. They get that vibe and it's like we got a record so that I ain't gonna lie. I don't even listen to beat packs like niggas and
I look at all that. It been so many times where a motherfucking plays some ship for me, like even these niggas like and it's like I've been senting you this ship. It's like I never checked that email yeah for you as a fucking beat packs, because when I did, it'd be like, all right, this part of the beat is tight, especially if it's not my producers. This part of the beat is tight. But like I said earlier,
where do I fit in on this? Motherfucker? They forget that and we can't rego in on it and redo it like I'm not even fucking Yeah. The cool thing about g is with he got a vision, so he'll hear something and I might have produced it, and he might hear something that he wants the pre to do on it, so he might be like take this out or you know this year, you know, like you got that luxury right because if it's just some random producer from Atlanta and they send you a beat, you like,
I might like this, but where are you at the send? Like, let's stand this bitch out listen. Yeah, bro, And it's rare that I find the beat where I just like rap over the whole shit and I don't need nothing change. It's like, all right, it's too heavy right here. My voice is clashing with this ship. I don't you know what I'm saying, Like I used to do that ship, but now it's like, I don't know. We're just making music and having fun. So that pack shit to listen,
You've been dropping a bunch of shit. But what's what's like? What's what's this all leading up to South Central the album, like the album album South Central and then Hot Shot the album, So two albums this year, like you know. And then it's just a gang of projects Tango steal G, slim Me and j nor w ain't put a name on our project, me and loder Grade. It's a lot of projects coming on the way and a lot of leaks l A Summers too. Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
It's just a lot of projects in a lot of leaks that we got coming, cause it's just like I said, Bro, we fucking we're paving a way for this new error. Bro, it's a streaming era. It's a new underground era. And the market and the scene is untapped in La. Everybody want to do shit and get signed and fake look good and fake me rich. You know what I'm saying, Like, we really getting to it and you're gonna like this summer, We're gonna funck shuit up because I you know, be
out here that money Carlo put together? Care about me pounding them South Central blocks? Yeah, this guy did get a new money Carlo. Yeah. That the bubble back window. Yeah, the bubble back window. Look fly and you got a deal on it. You're telling me you came up. Yeah. Yeah. When I told oh boy, I'm like yeah, Bro. Like the bank that I'm with, they don't really give out. I got an order to cash, so it's like, Bro, I ain't finna be able to Can I give you
a cash here check? And he like, uh man, you I gotta go to the bank with you for that. I'm like, listen, bro, my name is Parka. Wait wait waitko everything what pen you was in? And wooty woo woo whoop. I'm like the lain of like nigga this this It was one of my pottoners. I was in the pen with and ship. Oh ship, it worked out. It worked out, like I got that ship. So when you get a new car, do you sell a car or do you just keep them all? Yeah? I don't.
I never sold a car on my life. You know, if you were to sell a car, never, now is the time. Either give sh away. You're giving cars away, ship, get fucking totaled out. Uh it go to the impound. If I ain't got no license, I didn't go get it like this or I yeah you had you had a carget this, You had a car you impounded and you just left it. Yeah, hell yeah, plenty times a lit when I didn't have no license. That's terrible. I'm never so want a carver, Well, you know, just give
it to somebody. There's a chip. There's a chip shortage right now. So if you wanted to sell, that'd be the time because cars are fucking I know my truck like thirty thousand more than what I got it for right now, sell it. But it's like I don't even care to sell it. Might as well, extra, get that extra thirty. Let me get another car. See with me and cars, it's a different convo. It's like, I just like having the motherfuckers, So it's like it's like a
real bond. It seems like like some wraps and some T shirts and you can't let go the extra thirty other ship. But it's like, I just like cars, bro, are you because you're obviously I'm gonna get a warehouse soon and just go up the same way speer. Dude, it's gonna be like fucking garage. Jaylen will be right around Burbank all the time in the most wild ass car should That's really where my uh my passion at in my life. Like you're just gonna see me in
vehicles like moving. I figured it out. That's what I'm doing outside of his music ship, but you know, spend all my money on that. I feel like like, when you're on rock Nation, you know, this guy's got fucking
his his thing ringing over there. No, when you're when you're on rock Nation, I feel like, you know, I feel like you have your core fan base and you you're really really you're I don't want to call you, but I'm saying I think about it trying to find a single, like you are historically a West Coast sonic sonically, that's where your base is, right, that's the music you make, right.
And I feel like sometimes when you have a fucking hardcore fan base the way you do, it's it's easy to start chasing Atlanta or Toronto or New York or all this ship. And when you do that, you start fucking souring people who keep the lights on exactly. I
fell into that ship. How you want it, how you feel I hate that fucking record, fucking um big stacks, big stacks, just like chasing the fucking family, like supposed to just trying to get a single right, and it's like the ship that we do and just throw it out as stream warning all that shit, you know what I'm saying, with no money put into it. So it's like, yeah, I gotta just stick to the core because asn't say, are you worried about like like does that even concern
you to ever even try? Like, because I feel like you just keep doing what you're doing and like that shit will just come on its own exactly, like the world will come to you as opposed to you trying to force your way into like getting played a Magic City or some shit, you know, right, Yeah, I told myself this, I said, with the with the amount of work that we're putting in and just all the different ship that we bring into the culture, you know what
I mean, And we're making it noticeable instead of doing it you know, in a uh like in a passive way. You know what I'm saying. We like letting our nuts hang right about get credit to give yourself credit exactly because it's like, would you rather just be like a nigga that's overrated or underrated? But anyway, I've been telling myself, like I know, I'm an influencer entire generation, whether it's
now or it might happen after my time. You know what I'm saying, I might be long going, and I just influenced a whole entire all these niggas sampling me and what was g thinking and you know what I'm saying, So that's what I'll be thinking about. Like I know that, like it's gonna be a gang of motherfucker's inspired by what I do, how I think, and the ship that
I'm saying, you know what I'm saying. So that's my whole like that's my driving force behind it, Like it's bigger than it just a quick song, because like I know how to get on, how to get money, Like you know what I'm saying. Yeah, we've established It's like I be thinking, like what do I be doing it? I'll just be getting money. I don't even but some reason I always got money with my boy Mike. Say ship like that, shout out to Mike Apps, Indianapolis's finest
right there, We'll ship. So what's what's next for more these motherfuckers right here? You know what I'm saying. We're finna get high as ship the rest of the day, you know what I mean, And fuck the day off and get back to it tomorrow. There is what's up? What's up with you guys? Got some what's any placements coming down the pipeline? Yeah, I got a couple of stuff.
Like I'm I'm really trying to get my stuff off the ground, like working on getting a little situation with the Empire and then like just putting out stuff with my you know, like artists I would work with, you know. Yeah, I feel like you you guys shrooms making the light
brighter or something. I feel like there's no, like like, like, you know, the approach I've been taking with my producer, I work with Tony Chalkers, Like, I'm like, bro, So you know, we did a whole album with the artist named Caski who used to be signing cash Money white Boy chatted a fire as fuck, but he's got a crazy following, right, So we did the whole album and I was like, look, we'll just do it just he
got to be primary artists on there with you. So like on Spotify, if you go to my producer's profile, it is lit as fuck, like he got like one hundred and fifty thousand monthly listeners, and so now we can start charging for least, now you got a beats. And so we did a whole album with Demrick, who's from La you know, and he's primary artist on the album.
It's like, you know, but you gotta do y'all gotta do the same shit, you know what I'm saying, Like start building up that artist that that's those Spotify profiles, because if people go and see j Nari's profile and you got two hundred and fifty thousand monthly listeners, they're like, oh shit, what's going on here? I be looking at yeah like Jane got shited cracking and look up with
million monthly right, eight hundred monthly listeners. And then that gives you the opportunity that if you're leasing beats, you're doing whatever you'd be like, yo, man, like I got I got cattle law too, Like outside of my placements, I got catalog as like a real collaborative artist on this ship. You know what I'm saying, So get on him. So when y'all drop these records, y'all are primary artists on the joints. You know what I'm saying, It's all on him. It's him by right that being said, I
gotta take a piss take one of these rooms. Dog, we should be I gotta draft this whole interview. We gotta damn near restart this ship. I gotta drift to take some shrooms. Brod the Phoenix right now, I take one. You gotta drive the Phoenix. Yeah, my nieces Kencineida is going there. It ain't even Frida sweet sixteen. I know about the all. Huh. You know I love Hispanic girls. Hey man, shout out to my one of these things, you Parico came from like shot to my wife. My Hispanic.
Well not even that wasn't my girlfriend, just somebody I was boning back in the day. She called you Perico. She she told me how to spell it. I used to spell it wrong, damn you know what I mean. She's like, oh, I had it on headbands and wristbands this when I was like a teenager and ship. She's like, are you spelling it wrong? How you spell it? I'm like, okay, I spelled it with a D. I see O P I D what I forgot? It was like I was niggat I was. And she's like, nah, you spell it
like this. You know what I'm saying. And yeah, but I have nothing to say about your statement you just made because I don't know what that means. The Blue leg Head Podcast. Go follow these guys, Go buy a blue T shirt. Sit down, stop baby, collect
