Mississippi State got a much needed sweep to open the college baseball season. The Bulldogs looked impressive on offense and defense, but the biggest bright spot might be some Diamond Dawg newcomers.
On the basketball front, the Mississippi State men won a game they simply had to have at Arkansas. The Bulldogs' tournament hopes remain possible.
The State women had a tough Sunday, but remain in prime position to earn the #2 seed in the SEC tournament.
