We're taking a very. I don't like to use the word revolutionary. I like to use the word
โ ยถ The Evolution of Nutrition
With liquid vitamins instead It's very innovative. Just like bitcoin is for currency. We've already had some great I think it just. The main reason we're It's promoting and kind of is and believing in sound that we've talked about for a So now let's put it into Welcome to the Business to helping you enrich your bitcoin, the hardest money on I'm your host, Josh Friedeman, who's the owner of Tropical brand.
Today on the show, we're going Oasis has recently started John is also going to share sell online. We're going to be talking working for Ron Paul. We're going to get to our John, welcome to the podcast. Thanks, Josh. Thanks for having me. So I'd like to start off every that help us to get to know us some insight for our own lives. You ready for these? Yes, sir. Question number one is this. When and how did you first Wow. Well, there's two parts to I first actually got into bitcoin.
And that came because I was was working beside me on the But the more, I guess, glum Bitcoin in 2010. And the craziest story ever, undergrad back at Stephen F. Austin State University who new competing currency since He had flash drive miners that Right? It would be so powerless. But he was getting, I don't like that. For years he was doing this. He's a billionaire now.
None of us have really heard And he kind of went and did But had I listened to him in But he was what a pioneer to But 2012 is when I really bitcoin and started dollar I wish I would have not sold made a. I've done well with it and I here for the long term. Man. So 2009, I was a freshman in for the fact that I didn't So I wasn't mining. But the opportunity was there. And it's just crazy to think on your computer and getting It's just crazy to think about.
But here we are and probably a Question number two is what's. What's an insight or fact understood? I wish everyone understood an investment where you're buying. A lot of people think it's But where I think bitcoin gets to replace traditional fiat It's still gaining adoption it's not just money, it's real We've just been so conditioned out long ago that, oh, you government, it's not real Because the only reason fiat it value, right?
And what kind of game are we and we build businesses and we but then it can just be stolen So really understanding that else is also money, it's not exchange I think is when we've really, really got a figure numbers in bitcoin. So question number three. What's the bitcoin resource I got to admit, although I've for a long time, I'm minded on the subject. I'm more of a alternative that type. But you know, there's plenty forums and sites.
I mean, what I would just get started, even if it's or any other type of account Right. You know, don't put more in But if you just start dollar date on it, I think that's what prevents them from they're like, wow, I just, and for me when it's, it's really I think that's the key. Question number four, beyond or idea that's been helpful to Yeah, so really just learning is critical.
This, this century is the So learning how to navigate landing pages and websites and to funnels through different skill for building wealth in There's several ways to do it. You can do it through Amazon, you know, the real gold is websites, your own landing pages. You come up with a great learning e commerce, that's passive income and to take Right.
And to get out of the nine to So if I had to recommend one in modern times is how do you Because traditionally in brick you can sell to just by open to the world and then And it's kind of like modern oil wells every now and then audience and that traffic. I want to ask some more in the interview, but for we call our arbitrary but And it's this. As a general life principle, Wow, that's an intriguing one I think both are important.
To always question, to always ways that things have been to always ask why, and to only existing institutions, this is just an example of Why has the US dollar been Right. Why do these things happen? Why does the federal up all this debt to go fight we've got problems here at home? So I think always asking charge and accountability and for a thriving civilization. Well, John, we're here today you're involved with, but us because your business, to accept Bitcoin. I want to talk about that.
โ ยถ Introduction to Tropical Oasis and Bitcoin Acceptance
The interesting thing about vitamin which may have been I haven't really followed that it's certainly not the norm So maybe just to start off, about Tropical Oasis and then connected to your brand and Bitcoin? Yeah, absolutely. So Tropical Oasis is actually It's been around 30 years. My partner and I bought the Our 10 year anniversary is on The whole pitch of the brand form instead of pills or capsules. Liquid.
There's been a ton of research at 98% whereas pills and And let's be honest, who in Nobody likes that. It doesn't taste good. And we've been able to over and product development to to taste. So it's really kind of on the They've been around a long really taking off and it's a I've got a few examples here. So all of our bottles are the cap and you take a shot. So it's like a 32 day supply.
And then we have some that are So but 35 different SKUs all loss, multivitamin, vision, And when we bought the company dollars a year and now we're And we've never taken any So it's all. We've been able to bootstrap years. I'm a big proponent of if you raising a bunch of investors It's a really beneficial situation. And then we also are totally We own the manufacturing here in Dallas, Texas. So we're American made, we're A lot of our SKUs are USDA organic.
So it's a really interesting grateful to be a part of it.
โ ยถ Transitioning to Manufacturing and Product Development
So you mentioned the Was that part of the original tropical OAs make sense capacity? Well, that would have made the But we actually, we actually and Tropical Oasis came with it. Normally you have a bunch of sense for you to bring it all Well, we did it the opposite curve to do that, but we were a business to buy. So we went in and acquired It was a distressed asset at They were having problems, but revived this brand. And then we also do a lot of brands.
So everything from teas to gas stations to protein focus in liquid and powders. Another area where we do a lot mocktail space. So essentially what our with Big Pharma. Right? We're not big on to give people a healthy bodies. And to be in the non alcoholic for us because alcohol is, you It's harmful to your health, I mean, there's just so many use. And now that we're leading the for the first time, I think where cigarettes hit it in the down.
I mean it's not going anywhere on a newer, healthier, more And to be at the forefront of is special for us. Absolutely. So you mentioned how over the the multivitamin or whatever that you have a few different multivitamins. The liquid vitamins tasting To your point, not just about let's call it. They figure out how to make be unhealthy. How do you kind of find that good but still be healthy and harms your body? Yeah, absolutely.
Well, so we have a full R D It's led by a 30 year beverage three product developers under him. And we try to develop at least whether that's for our own customers. We do a lot of work for like know, tons of followers, but following and they want to something with their own brand So we work with a wide array But to make things healthy and you can take. Right. There's always the old school That's not healthy at all. You can make mud water taste good.
We try to avoid that one at But there's, you know, some want that. So it's really whatever the But we tend to stick to sugar Stevia is a good choice. Monk fruit is a great choice too. We try to avoid the sucralose taste like candy, but at what cost? Right. And that's the real challenge to make it taste good. Because if something isn't going to come back. Whereas pills and capsules, Right. You can just stuff it all into anyway.
So making things taste good is But we try to stick to the Insulin for one, or they're So that's really the answer there. Yeah, so I was Looking at your of comparing it to some other you mentioned that there's a you have equal or higher the liquid form, which would a whole lot more of the vitamin. I'm curious to know though, or powder form, are there to pack into the multivitamin form? Any like, what are the trade powders and pills?
Yeah, well, nothing is easier Because now you're dealing environments you've got a and safety procedures. Because in a moist environment problems happen, you know, all You know, so we have to have a Whereas when you're just capsules, it's a much easier, But on the liquid side, not you've got all kinds of SOPs to follow, but there's no real Some of them react a little So like your B vitamins or C. Vitamin C does not do well.
If you, for instance, if you if there was a heating step in prevent any kind of bacteria bit of a reaction to see. So that limits us a little bit But there's a hole. It's a fascinating field. There's, there's a whole And you know, we're very, We've got, you know, our head You know, he, he's basically a he's developed institutional to heat up the flavors just a sweetener. And then it's, it's a truly. Liquid is a, it's a totally And why, and it's honestly why it.
There's not really players in to manufacture, they're heavy So that, but there's, you a dozen, whereas liquid, the space. So it's, it's allowed us to market share. Yeah, yeah. So if people are interested in would be some of the great Any recommendations? Things that are really popular? Yeah. Tropicaloasis.com, there's there. We put out a lot of content on We're starting to get into It's a whole new vertical.
I'm definitely not well versed But our Amazon is a great want that, that convenience of shopping. You know, We've got over so we've built that business So there's just, there's a lot a lot of different videos, we three board certified So there's a ton of And, and then if you just had We've got an inside sales the product too. Yeah, well, I saw in your bio on Amazon. So I'd love to hear a little mentioned being able to sell online.
So someone listening to this may or may not have an online presence. There's a good chance that But what would you recommend they've cracked the COD or enter into the online world in and then maybe also what are to them if they wanted to right things. Yeah, absolutely. So Amazon's interesting training wheels, sadly. Well, not sadly, it's just But what's beautiful about are already shopping for So you have this built in to buy. So your cost of acquisition of already got people that are looking.
And even with Amazon taking things that you have to do on it's very rare you're able to on your adwords. You mess up on your You pretty much make profit acquisition cost is so much traffic there. So we built our business on It was a, you know, that was in the last two or three years off Amazon and start building or landing pages. A couple of benefits there.
Number one, you don't pay But two, you own the data You can then remarket to those market and cross promote other Whereas Amazon, they own that to them it's great. You're kind of like renting cash flow but you're not just have all your business on Amazon. However, it's an amazing place well venture backed because immediate profit if it's done correctly.
There's a lot of good There's a couple of One called sellercon which is, and Amazon itself actually all the big sellers can come things at work and don't work. What's cool about E commerce is like we don't keep secrets like we share, right? Because there's plenty of room it's not a zero sum game. We all win, right? But anyway, that's Amazon. But then if you really want to in E commerce is selling on pages, right? But that's hard.
I mean that's a lot of trial You've got to have lots of You've got to have very expert That's when you move to the at scale off of Amazon.
โ ยถ Transitioning from E-commerce to Cryptocurrency
So let's move to the bitcoin portion. You've obviously known about bitcoin. Had bitcoin been in, I guess What was it that got you to go And what does that look like? Is it accepting it? Is it holding on the balance sheet? Have you thought through some Yeah. So, number one, just accepting Right. Because I think it opens us up enthusiasts who, you know, and been involved in the Our goal is to be the chosen because much like them, I I don't like to use the word revolutionary.
I like to use the word instead of pills or capsules. It's very innovative. Just like bitcoin is for currency. Right. So I think us becoming that opens us up to an entirely new else is really doing this right. And no one else is really in But yes, we offer a rewards them to pay in bitcoin. We offer that as a rewards And then we, you know, and out of the gate. And, you know, when we accept we either hold it or we'll But I think it just.
The main reason we're and kind of putting our money in sound currency and talked about for a long time. So now let's put it into So you've mentioned earlier you don't do a lot of people listening to this podcasts that are bitcoin things like that. It seems like you're And you also mentioned the Ron I think it'd be interesting to and thinking across the years, also how you view bitcoin in Well, to start, even though I in any of the podcasting and much as I can.
Sure. I try to get as many decimal costing average technique of the month, how much can I buy? Right. I have a, you know, recurring I don't even pay that much Like in, in fiat. Like I, I just. How many decimal points can I get? Because we all know that day's Like we, we, anybody, So my strategy is simple. I, I've done mining in the past. I invested in a mining deal I've done some, all of that. I've done trading platforms. But the best thing I've Right.
And that might be short as a lot of people have done, Well, just real quick there thought. There are a lot of people who all the right answers and Just buying it is way better about it. Right, exactly. And I also find out the who didn't get involved with it. Right? That's usually funny to watch. But although what I always say usually bitcoiners, it's very great critique of bitcoin who Peter Schiff, whatever. Oh my God, that's embarrassing. Yeah, for sure.
But no, no, it's yeah, for But I guess another one other the hurtful part is to go look 2014 when you sold 15 bitcoin stomach. But anyway, it is what it is. You can't change the past and But anyway, to get back to the not just for bitcoin but for. I'm definitely a collector of Anything that, that's kind of Because I was awakened to the around 2012, a little earlier speak and I heard him speak at on the news and I followed his And then in 2012 I joined and And of course it was all of us way.
So we were just talking about Ron, our movement, what's cool wasn't really a political movement for sound money, for to awaken you to all the Right. So, so what's cool about Ron he gives you a reading list of foreign policy to monetary routes, right? So then I followed his reading like the Creature from Jekyll And then you read Ron's book And so then I just went on what has the government done It's the biggest scam that's When the total century of century of war and poverty and have happened.
And it's all enabled by being And when I found out that was when I really fell in love And so I guess these days valuably spent? Obviously you have some of a major thrust for you is just for a future where Fiat's So where do you see your time Two areas it's growing the We're always looking for new People who have a brand or a massive volume or that maybe a lot of volume and they need A lot of manufacturers in our fashioned and we're trying to to a very old school industry.
So really brands who are on customer service and times. I work a lot on courting those to come make their product The other half is spent on the But the real another part that in the recent years is in 2019 uses DNA technology to reunite parents.
โ ยถ Philanthropy and Technology in Action
And we've successfully done So you'll have a child that's and they don't even know their are. And we're able to get their And then you'll have parents that are looking for their child. And then if you get both you can have a match. So my real passion is not even My passion is philanthropy and I was invited in 2023 to speak Academy of Sciences and I got So that was a special time as well. But it's been fun trying to to set up these systems.
But obviously it takes a lot So that's my purpose for world a better place. So do you lead that organization? Do you have other people What does that look like? Because it seems like a big operation. The name of the organization that organization. I'm on the board and a co director and then we have a not a scientist at all. But our partner, his name is Dr. Jose Laurente. He's a world famous DNA Granada, Spain.
He actually discovered He's, he's next level and he's He's what I'd call a celebrity geneticist. And he's been doing this for And when he realized how his wow, why don't we use this to So that was what he did. And we happened to meet in relationship was born. We've been to four or five victims and how DNA was able And it's been a real blessing about. And it's something that my for a long time because the It's true insanity. We're modern day slavery.
Human slavery is at an all numbers of how many children And could you share that Yep. It's a returned with an ed One other thing that I want to interview is you mentioned of what you're doing. Do you see any changes on the Because I know Trump wants to liquid vitamins may not be at But just in general, do you or so for manufacturers who Man, I really hope so. You never know, it'll be tough they definitely do talk a big game. Where I'm really hopeful is I Kennedy Jr. This last election cycle.
I actually held an event for and he came and we raised him He is one of those high seldom meet in a lifetime and couple of them between him, But he truly embodies what I in this country from getting under control that are not it earlier in the interview, And he is the king of asking capture and, and all the And I mean you just see how day when he got, when they was They're just panicking because for all of the royalties And I mean it's truly like set us free.
And you know, RFK Jr. Is, you know, what I see as a probably most excited about weaning Americans off of drugs on natural alternatives and different things. So I think if I was going to put all the manufacturing that we can get back to a more and that's what the type of age old nutrition. Well, that seems to be a Do you have any final thoughts would you like people to go to Yeah, absolutely. So I, you know, would love for Tropicaloasis.com you know, it's, you're hooked because amazing.
Your energy levels, your skin many benefits there. So once you take it, you're Our lifetime value of rate. Right. And then, you know, also you know, it's a, it's, you It's a worldwide movement in our time, I believe. Great. John, thank you so much for It's been a pleasure. Thank you. Well friends, it's a wrap.
