In today’s episode we go over the timeline of events leading up to the January 6th insurrection and explore the ways Donald Trump and his Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, tried to overturn the presidential election.

Our guide is Ryan Goodman, founding co-editor-in-chief of Just Security, an online forum for the rigorous analysis of national and international security. Goodman is a Professor of Law and Co-Director of the Reiss Center on Law and Security at New York University School of Law. He served as Special Counsel to the General Counsel of the Department of Defense (2015-16). He is a frequent guest of Chris Hayes on MSNBC.
