We answer a couple of questions from the last episode about (1) the difference between the binding nature of the Mosaic Law and its wisdom aspect, and (2) the relationship of circumcision to the Law and the Abrahamic covenant. Then we proceed to ask the question about whether Gentiles in the Old Testament were expected to obey the Mosaic Law.
Today's episode continues our brief series on Theonomy, specifically talking about a few of their issues with the Mosaic Law. We talk about whether there should be a three-fold division of the Law, and whether or not the Mosaic Law should be considered binding for the believer.
In this episode, we introduce the concept of Theonomy and Christian Reconstructionism. Theonomy and postmillennialism have been popularized by individuals like Jeff Durbin, Gary DeMar, and Doug Wilson. This episode talks about what it is, and where it came from.
This is a continuation of the previous topic discussing the hermeneutical validity of seeing Jesus in every verse of the Old Testament. In this episode, I review the last half of the Theocast episode which deals with specific examples and work through those.

Peter Goeman continues his series on baptism, critically examining the Reformed Paedobaptist arguments, particularly the "one people of God" concept and the continuity of the covenant community. He argues against the assumption that Israel and the church are identical, highlighting historical and biblical evidence for their distinction, including the pre-Abrahamic era and prophetic descriptions of Israel's future. The discussion also delves into the nature of the New Covenant, contrasting its participants with the Old Covenant, and interprets warning passages in Hebrews as referring to pseudo-salvation rather than unbelievers within a true covenant community, setting the stage for the next episode on baptism and circumcision.
