Russia and Ukraine - where's God in all this?

Does God not know all the crazy human insanities happening on the planet? Isn't He paying attention? Oh yeah! He gave us a 1,000 page book all about it - nothing new under the sun. Maybe we should turn to it before, during, and after "we humans" make a colossal mess of everything. Nah. We'll just assume we're the good guys and everyone else is bad. We'll pray for peace and save the day.
But Jeremiah had some dangerous writings about this in the Old Testament. Let's have a look.
