Do I really need to worship God?

What is worship? Why is it important? To worship literally means to exclaim to someone how worthy they are or, in most cases, love/affection/glory/etc.
Who is more worthy than the God who created us, who is unlike anything in creation, who never does wrong, and who died to save those who went against Him?
