Can Christians lose their Salvation?

Almost 2000 years ago, a man named Jesus took our sins that we committed upon Himself. These sins that we have made habitual are together the thing that keeps us from a healthy relationship with God. But if we repent of our sinfulness toward God, and simply believe that Jesus took the WHOLE punishment that we deserve, He will give us eternal life in His presence; this is the Christian's salvation.
Is there anything that Christians, being humans, can do to lose that salvation? We want to know what the Bible has to say about it! Since the Bible told us about our salvation, we should also let IT tell us the details of our salvation in Jesus Christ.
