Episode 228: Help Joshua Create Life! Genesis Experiment 2025!

the moonshining that was happening in them there hills. And then when I became, you know, a much much older fella, I moved to Puerto Rico for a while, which is the rum capital of the world. So I had my share of of Well I was gonna say rum and cokes, but take your pick. I mean I I had such a wide array. I mean, that's where the Bacardi factory is, and you could mix up just about any anything you want.

And now now I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, which I mean you can't go anywhere here without there being alcohol available twenty four seven. And I've said before in the you know, when I lived in North Carolina, sometimes I would go to a bar and order a beer and occasionally, and this is years ago, but I would say, you know what, let me have a shot with a beer. That's not an uncommon thing. I think people call that a boiler maker, where you have a beer with a

shot of whiskey or something like that. And they'd be like, oh, no, no, no, I'm sorry, that's against the law. We can only serve one drink at a time. That would be like serving you two drinks. I mean, so that's sort of how it was for me growing up and I here in Vegas. I remember one time I was at a bar and I ordered a shot of tequila and the bartender said, well, you know, we have a special going on. You can get five shots for eight dogs. So it's totally different

mentality here. You gotta be careful to take care of yourself because the funny thing is, despite the availability of alcohol here, one of the things that I do for fun occasionally is ferment my own wine here at my house. And I do that, and I've done this off and on for years, because well, I mean, it's it's the closest thing to chemistry. I guess I dabble with these days, but I like the fact that, you know, you can sort of play with different flavors and you can you

can even tweak the alcohol content. And I mean it's to me, it's fun, I think most of all because you may have heard that I am a lover of mystery. And so when you when you put your ingredients into your your your jugs there, you have to wait at least a few weeks depending on what you're making, before it's going to be U ready to drink. And you just never know how it's going to turn out. And every single time it's going to be a little different

when you're doing it at home like that. And so I have had not made a batch of home wine in quite a while since I moved into my new house over two and a half years ago. So I finally decided I wanted to go ahead and get around to it. So as I was sitting there working on this, I was thinking also, by the way, you know, even though as I'm getting older, I mean, I'm trying to be a much healthier guy. I really am, But the fact of the matter is I've never been the healthiest guy.

I was telling the other day, I said to my beautiful wife Lauren, Lauren, I would like to use a wishing machine or something similar and get up one day and say, look, congratulations, I am changing all my ways. You've got the perfect healthy man. I never again am going to drink or smoke or eat fast food. I'm only going to eat fish, ethically sourced veggies, and I feel sorry for that poor grilled fish. God rest his soul. I'm gonna work out every day starting at five thirty am.

First weights, then cardio. I'll run several miles as I meditate and praise the universe. Then I'll shower and shave up and maybe even rub a little oil and lotion here or there. I'll never curse again. I'll only listen to positive and uplifting songs and podcasts and messages that will motivate and elevate my success and our relationship. I'll look in the mirror and smile at myself and remind myself that I love myself, and I love every single day on this magical planet. And I feel this entire

experience is a beautiful, blessing array of light. And I will embrace sheer positivity every moment under this majestic sun and moon and all those twinkling, giggling stars on this incredible, miraculous journey of life, I will be the perfect man. Well, unfortunately, my wife did not receive any of that, because you know, I'm not sure if I could take my wishing machine out and turn myself into the perfect man that I

would want to do it. I mean, does that sound like does that sound like the most fun person to hang out with? I don't know. So anyway, here I am working on my latest batch of homemade wine and I thought to myself, you know, since I'm mixing up things, this would be a great for me to attempt a

new version of the Genesis experiment. Now, I talked about this early on on this podcast called Strange Things, episode number twenty six, simply called the Genesis Experiment, and you know, I would tell you exactly how I make my home wine. But then I was thinking about you know, there, I know they're underage people who listen to this, and sure they can get online, they can figure out how to make their own wine, so they can do that on their own. I don't need to be the one to

tell them. And by the way, you should not do that that I that is wrong. So I'm not going to tell you how I make wine at home. But what I will tell you is that well, one of the things that you put in it is is yeast, and yeast is a living organism. So let's see. If you go directly to the definition of yeast, yeast are single celled micro organisms classified as members of the fungus kingdom. It says that there are at least fifteen hundred species.

They're actually really interesting because it's just a little it's a little living blob. And if you put them in a solution that's got sugar, then what you know, yeast is just powder like you make bread with. You put them in a bottle with powder, and excuse me, with you put them in a You put the powder in a bottle with sugar, and they consume the sugar over time and then they excrete alcohol. So they these little animals literally convert sugar into alcohol. That's the basic the

basis of how that process works. But those are living creatures. Now I'm going to emphasize that because I thought, Okay, what if I can take a sterile bottle of water, and what if I can put some components in this bottle that are absolutely not living at all, but would form the building blocks of life. So just to quickly

recap for you. Years ago, I did the first Genesis experiment at which I took a bottle of absolutely sterile water used in the medical field, talking about a little bottle like one hundred millimeters, and I put it on a shelf. And I was in North Carolina at the time, and I got online and I got on Coast to coast AM and I said, I want everybody to think

about this bottle. And I put a picture of it there with a GPS coordinates, and I said, I want you to imagine life just spontaneously springing somehow into this liquid, almost like we imagine that God may have just willed or manifested human life into existence. What if we all do that use our collective minds, our collective mind, and then I open it and there's life in there that should have never gotten in there. Wouldn't that be amazing? Okay,

we're up on our break, we'll come back. I'm gonna tell you what happened and how this has turned into my new idea for the new version of the Genesis experiment that we are all gonna do right now. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, and the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, let there be light, And there was light from there.

God just says, let this be, let that be. And we always have this question like, well, all right now, No, I'm not saying that you should or should not believe that version of events, but it is interesting because you have people would say, well, well, who created God? Well,

you're never going to answer that question. But if we just take that moment in the Book of Genesis and you think about the idea that you might somehow you know that this being God could sort of just command things into existence, and we are all creations, could enough of us working together also create something, command something into existence the same way that He created life in this in this version of events in the Genesis, the book of Genesis, and so I said to everybody, here's the

Genesis experiment. I got this little bottle of steril water. It's completely sealed. There's no trace of life in here whatsoever. Here is where it's located. Here's the GPS coordinates. Look at it. I want everybody, and there are millions of people, literally, because I was on coast to coast a m and I said, listen, I want you all to look at that bottle and just imagine. Just take ten seconds and imagine life of some kind, any kind of life you

want to envision in there. And we're gonna do this for I forget how long, a month or something, and then I'm going to crack it open. We'll put it under a microscope and see if there's anything in it. So I opened it up after this period of time, and there was nothing in it. It was completely sterile, just as it was supposed to be. So we did not create any life. Well, then, years later, I think it was once I started doing this podcast Strange Things,

I said, let's try it again. So I duplicated the experiment except out here in Las Vegas, and once again, no life inside. So that's two failures. So It's like, no, it doesn't look like we are collectively able to make life spontaneously emerge inside of this bottle of water. But then I started thinking, well, you know, here I am brewing up my fermenting my home wine. And I thought, well, what if we do the Genesis experiment one more time? But this time I know it's gonna contaminate things a

little bit, but so be it. What if I crack open the bottle and I put the building blocks of life inside? Because if you look at DNA, and trust me, I am no DNA scientists, So I'm just going to I mean, I'm just a guy with the podcast. All right, I may not be the smartest guy in the world, but I did stay at a holiday in Express and I figure, if you look at what they say, DNA is the three building blocks of life. One part is a phosphate group, which is basically from what I understand

as salt. The second is a sugar group. Well, we all know what sugar is. And the third is some form of nitrogen. Now, I'm not going to get into why that mixing salt and sugar and nitrogen together might somehow give us the ability to form DNA and therefore life. I mean, I don't know, but that's what scientists say. Those are the three building blocks of DNA as far as I understand, some form of salt, sugar, and nitrogen, and none of those things are living. And that's why

I wanted to point out earlier. This is not like when you're fermenting wine, because you're pouring yeast in there, which is a little microscopic living organism. In this particular case, I can put sugar and salt and some nitrogen powder inside this little bottle and seal it back up, and there is still no life in there other than the contamination of me opening it and you know whatever it's being exposed to air, et cetera. So this is not a perfect scientific experiment in some kind of like super

controlled sterile vacuum environment. But we're going to try this again. I took two of these little bottles of water, steril water one hundred millimeter, again the type used in the medical field. And also it's well, it's not expired. Both bottles are good, and I put an equal I open them, put an equal amount of sugar, salt and nitrogen in each one. One of them is a control and one

of them is our target for this experiment. So I have a little area that's I keep kind of just warm enough for my wine deferment, okay, because it does get really cold out in the desert, as you may or may not know. And so in one section of this I put the control bottle and in the other section I put our target bottle. And here's what I want you to do. I want you to go look

at a picture of this bottle. I'm not gonna tell you exactly where it is, but I don't think that even matters, because if this works, we're transcending linear distance. This is a quantum phenomenon that's transcending the boundaries of space time. This is like a psychic focus. I want you to look at this bottle, look at the picture of it, and I want you to just take at least ten seconds and think about life being inside, or take longer and meditate and sit there and really get

into it. Maybe you are the type of person who really wants to go an extra step, and you're gonna print out a picture of it and draw something on it, or save it to your phone and then draw something on you. There ought to be maybe even a couple little discounts for some things. But scroll down and you will see where it says Genesis Experiment twenty twenty five. There is a picture of this bottle and the target that we are all going to focus on for at least ten seconds. I hope that you will do that as soon as possible, at least I mean sometime today. But if you can do it, go right now and just just to make

sure you don't forget about it. And at some point here in the near future, I guess probably when I think my wine is going to be ready, it's going to be an extra exciting day because not only am I going to to rack and chill and taste my wine, but that's also going to be the day then I bust open this bottle of water that is sterile. It's except for salt, sugar, and nitrogen and whatever I've done to contaminate it, and we're going to see if there's

anything in there. And even though there's going to be some contamination by opening this thing and during this experiment, what if the activity in the target one is somehow exceptional compared to the control version. You see, That's why we have a control because they should basically look about the same. And if the one that we are all looking at it looks exceptionally more interesting, then I think it may have to do with the fact that at least we have now included the basic building blocks of

DNA in there. So that is the Genesis Experiment twenty twenty five, and I hope, I hope we get something. It's going to be very exciting for me to report this to you, you know, when it comes to the mystery of life. You know, we're talking about creating life. But I saw just the other day a news story in the BBC and they're saying, oh, we're one step closer to all life on Earth ending because scientists have moved the doomsday clock to its closest ever to destruction.

So okay, Doomsday clock move closest ever to destruction. That's the headline, and here's what it says. Okay, let me first off give you a little background on the doomsday clock. You probably have heard about this. The doomsday clock is a symbol that presents the estimated likelihood of a human

made global catastrophe. And it's made by these scientists, it said the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists says, here of the doomsday clock, symbolizing how near humanity is to destruction, has been moved one second forward to eighty nine seconds to midnight, the closest it has ever been. Uh, when we get back, we'll talk a little bit more about the doomsday clock and what what is this? I mean, what should you how should you feel about hearing this?

We're closer than ever to destruction? And apparently there's a new movie in the works, a biopic of the great Art Bell, and I'm going to tell you about that. The Doomsday Clock's origin can be traced to the international group of researchers called the Chicago Atomic Scientists, who had

participated in the Manhattan Project. After the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they began publishing a mimiographed newsletter and then a magazine called Bulletin of the Atomic Scientist, which since its inception has depicted the clock on every cover. The clock was first represented in nineteen forty seven. Okay, so basically they're saying, okay, it's a picture of a clock.

They sit around, they have discussions, and it's like the hand on the clock, it's ticking closer to midnight, and I guess midnight. Uh, It says the Bulletin's clock is not e gauged to register the ups and downs of the international power struggle. It is intended to reflect the basic changes in the level of continuous danger in which mankind lives in the nuclear age and goes on here to say midnight has a deeper meaning besides the constant

threat of war. There are various elements taken into consideration when the scientists from the bulletin decide what midnight and global catastrophe really mean in a particular year. They might include politics, energy, weapons, diplomacy, and climate science. Potential sources of threat include nuclear threats, climate change, biotech, herosm and artificial intelligence. So members of the board they judge Midnight by discussing how close they think humanity is to the

end of civilization. And in nineteen forty seven, at the beginning of the Cold War, the clock was started at seven minutes to midnight. And now now they say we are eighty nine seconds to midnight, the closest it has ever been. Well, does that frighten you? You know what, here's what I think about that. Look, for one thing, there's no way that these scientists, some of the most biased people I've ever met in my entire life, are

bonafide diploma carrying scientists. So just because somebody says I'm a scientist, that does not mean that person. It does not let a lot of emotions and and and you know, personal biases and things like that reflect how they feel about things. So this to me seems more more like, oh, it's I mean, it's interesting to see how this particular group of scientists feels, and it's a it's a cool way of of them expressing themselves. But like, here's the reality.

Nuclear bombs are not going anywhere. That's not gonna happen even. I mean, it's possible that at some point one one country will acquire all of the nuclear bombs and take them away from everybody else. But nuclear bombs are not going anywhere, and so someday are all of the nuclear bombs going to go off and that's the end of us? Maybe, I mean probably, but who knows how how far into the future that may be. It's it's like when they say, you know, when the big earthquake's gonna hit, or when

the big volcano is gonna blow. So I don't think it's I mean, to me, I hate to be this flippant about it, but it might not have that much more meaning than Puck Satawani, Phil the groundhog seeing his shadow once a year to predict whether or not there's gonna be a longer winter or so on. And I mean, I just feel like that. Again, it's interesting, it's a way for them to get attention and express their opinion.

But honestly, if you're gonna take this seriously, then you may as well just keep pushing it up to midnight, because I mean, it's like, eventually something's gonna happen. We know how this story ends. Eventually, something bad's gonna happen, So don't worry about that. Listen to this, says here on Coast to coastam dot com. The remarkable life story of Coast to Coast AM creator Art Bell may soon be coming to the silver screen by way of a

biopic starring Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti. The percolating film project, set to be directed by Matt Matt Bettinelly Othan, I Don't know who that is, and Tyler Gillette of the acclaimed creative collective radio Silence, has reportedly already drawn interest from Amazon and Warner Brothers. Credited with spearheading the movie are producers Sophie Cassidy and Jeff Katz, who was a longtime fan of the late paranormal radio legend mister Art Bell.

While the biopic is still an in nascent stage, the prospects of the movie coming to Fruition look promising, with Giamatti being a particularly apt choice to play the beloved Art Bell as the actor co host of podcast wherein he also explores all manner of high strangeness. I like Paul Giamatti. I especially was a fan of his because of the John Adams series on HBO. But he's played a lot of great roles. He's a fantastic actor. I remember,

you know, speaking of radio. You know he played I guess what was a pig vomit or whatever in the Howard Stern movie Private Parts. I'm not sure that I can quite see him as Art Bell. I mean, there's a little bit of that there, but I haven't taken the time to look more deeply into this. So I want to do some research on who these filmmakers and producers are and get a better feel on it. But I wonder, I wonder if this actually happens, if they

will include Carville the alien. Art Bell's wooden alien statue that would supposedly come to life at night, which now resides at my house. Wouldn't that be something if Carvill makes it into the movie. So I'll keep you updated on that. Let's go to some emails. There is one Okay, I I did a show, and I'm trying to see, Okay, which number of the show was, but it hit a nerve with a lot of people. It was about psychic vampires,

and I think it was episode two twenty five. Yes, episode two twenty five of this podcast called be Careful about Accepting gifts Psychic Vampires. And I got just a huge amount of feedback from that, and with you know, you can imagine, I was giving tips on how you might tell whether or not you have a psychic vampire in your house or your in your life. A lot of people loved it, but there were also a lot of people who who just hated the concept and were

attacking me for even bringing this up. And I was like, oh, you guys are psychic vampires when you go after when you say I'm gonna do a show after psychic vampires, and all of a sudden a lot of people start attacking you over it. Yeah, those are the psychic vampires. I drew them out of the woodwork. But you know. That's okay. Let me just I did get a lot of very interesting questions, so let me just give you

one example of an interesting question. A guy named Jason wrote me and listener Jason, He wrote, Joshua, aren't we all psychic vampires to one extent or another? What are your thoughts on this? Well? You know, I get over one hundred emails a day and I try to get back to people what I can, So I just wrote right back one line. I was like, or yeah a few I said no, some people make you feel energized and others make you feel drained. That was my response,

And then he wrote this back. He says, that is still a consumption of energy, for lack of a better word, I also understand the term vampire, but feel that its usage here has a lot of loose ends. For instance, a depressed person goes out to find solace in people of an upbringing nature to alter their energy. The non depressed people will typically feel drained by the presence of the depressed person. So this depressed person was a seeker

of a different energy and went to consume it. The thing I see here is the motivation behind seeking this energy. Whereas our psychic vampire would be depleting a person not out of need, but just because that's their intentions towards the other person to soak up that one's multiple energies. And then he says, I believe I may have just answered my own question. Now, granted, folks, that was a little confusing to me, but nonetheless, I mean, maybe that made more sense to you than it did to me.

But then he goes on to say, now, I believe the question would be how to distinguish a person that really needs the energy versus a person that is just depleting set energy for no purpose but just to do it. Similar flags on both behalves. One just does it to do it and the other actually needs it, So how would we distinguish one from the other. In the moment, thanks, and you're an awesome person for just responding back. Well, that's very nice for you to say that, Jason, and

I appreciate it. So I said, you know what, I'm going to answer this question on an upcoming show, and so we're coming up on a break. When we come back, I'm going to give an answer. And also I think kind of a final summary of what I'm talking about when it comes to this whole psychic vampire thing. You know, maybe I need to put a better point on it to show you what exactly I mean. And then I think, I think I might just get into a story about the Locke ness Monster. Warren, And I told the listener Jason I would answer his question on the show, and he said, no problem, brother, and thank you for being you. Well, see, Jason seems to

be a very nice person. I started to say, if you don't know who the psychic vampire is, it's you. But no, no, that that necessarily is not true. Okay, So seriously, here's how I feel about that. It's true that anybody can feed upon anybody. Okay, we can all feed upon each other, either consciously or subconsciously, even psychic vampires are fed upon by other psychic vampires, so you can only classify a psychic vampire from your own individual,

subjective point of view. And in my podcast on this topic, episode two twenty five, I gave a specific list of behaviors that you can look for in someone who might be a psychic vampire feeding on you. So I advise everyone listening to go back and listen to that list if you're interested. Now, one of the things a psychic vampire does is hound you with questions all the time. So I have friends who drive me nuts with too

many questions. They're still my friends, and I don't think they're bad people, but I do believe they tend to be psychic vampires, and I limit my exposure to them because they drain me. But ultimately, there is no all seeing authority who is going to objectively designate someone as psychic vampires. So again, it is a subjective topic. And therefore, since this is a podcast, I've given you my outlook on the situation from your point of view, and that's

what's important. From your point of view, think about how some people consistently make you feel energized and others consistently make you feel drained, and so you can decide who the vampires might be in your own life. And I think that's the best way that I can that I can sum that up. Honestly. I was looking the other day back through some of the stories from one of the favorite, my favorite books I've ever produced. It's called Amazing Happy Endings True Stories to Make You Smile. And

I actually compiled this book of true stories. I even read the audiobook version of it. The website is Amazinghappy Endings dot com. And I asked people to send me stories, and I said that you know, the story must be true, must be short, and it must be kind of amazing and have a happy ending. And I thought this one was one that I would revisit. Sent to me from Ashley Barnes. I actually met Ashley at least once. She came to an event here in Vegas. Very very nice, insightful,

warm person. I think she's got some special some special magical powers. She wrote this about that experience she had based out of Georgia here in the USA in twenty twelve. She said, I had been fascinated with the Lockness Monster in Scotland since reading about it in my third grade language arts class. It was my childhood dream to go to Lockness and search for NeSSI my parents were not interested and were very apprehensive about going overseas, so I

planned it to be a solo trip. In my twenties, every bit of money I received as a Christmas or Birthday present was saved over the years in an envelope marked Scotland and kept in a safety deposit box. At age nineteen, I was diagnosed with the epstein bar virus and monoonucleosis and was bedridden for six weeks. I never fully recovered, and two years later I was then diagnosed

with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibroma algia. This was a major setback in my independence, and my trip to Scotland got pushed even further into my future as I tried to survive and attempt to just live a normal life. In twenty twelve, after struggling to find a job post college graduation, I was hired at an electric corporation in Duluth, Georgia. There was another new hire that sat next to me during the orientation who was about my father's age with

a very familiar accent. He was from Scotland. I spoke with him briefly about my childhood dream and my health difficulties. We worked on completely different sides of the building and in different departments. Our paths would have never crossed had we not gone through New Higher Orientation together. A few years later, I was healthier and ready to start planning my Soulo trip to Lockness. Traveling alone would prove very

difficult with my illness. I saw my New Hire Orientation friend in the break room one day and I told him about my plans. I told him I was thinking about flying into Inverness, which is the closest airport to Lockness, no more than a thirty minute drive away, and he informed me that his mom and sister lived in Inverness and I could rent a visitor's flat at his mother's retirement community apartment complex, and then I would have a mother and grandmother figure nearby to host me if I

needed anything. A few months later, A few months later, I was at my favorite bar in Nashville, Tennessee, celebrating my birthday and there was a girl about my age who was alone. She stood next to me by the stage and we bonded, singing a few songs together. She even try to set me up with the guitarist in the band. When we spoke, I could tell she had an odd accent and asked where she was from. She said she was from the UK. I told her I was going to Inverness in Scotland that coming summer, and

she told me that's where she currently lived. We connected via social media and she ended up being the person who greeted me at the Inverness airport upon my arrival. The Higher power God lined up my childhood dream trip perfectly, with the grandmother, mother and a girlfriend to host me and guide me as I traveled alone. When something is meant to be, the stars truly line up. My three

weeks stay was beyond what words could just. Realizing my childhood dream was one of the most fulfilling accomplishments I've ever experienced. Traveling solo internationally was a major step out of my comfort zone and into my independence and adulthood. Having a safety net of three trustworthy women and Inverness meant the world to me, but still allowed me to

spread my wings.
