Welcome to the Bee’s Knees, a podcast about our beautiful buzzing buddies. I’m your host Jacy Meyer, and I’m doing this podcast for the love of bees and what they bring to our lives. They contribute to sustainable farming, biodiversity, environmental protection, and more. They are compassionate, intelligent creatures, and I want to share with you the stories of the compassionate, intelligent people that work with them, nurture them and help keep them alive.

Bees are amazing, and there are so many stories surrounding them. Twice a month, I’ll introduce you to people and organizations making a difference for and with bees. We’ll learn the difference between native bee species and honeybees, look at global bee diversity and meet companies that are using their office space to provide a home for bees in the city. We’re going to meet researchers and authors, filmmakers and artists, all doing amazing things in support of bees. We’ll look at non-profits and countries worldwide working hard to ensure their local bees stay happy and healthy. We’ll talk about the vital role bees play in our environment and sustainability, how the climate crisis affects them, and how you can help. And poop! We’ll talk about bee poop, probably more than once.

Listen in to learn more about this quirky insect, how to support them, and the hive of interesting people, programs, and events buzzing around them. The Bee’s Knees kicks off on Tuesday, February 6. New episodes will drop on the first and third Tuesday of every month. Please subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.
