The word 'pride' is an integral cultural concept within the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex (LGBTQI) community, representing solidarity, collectivity, and identity as well as resistance to discrimination and violence.
CP is an award-winning community and inclusion professional who spearheaded Portsmouth’s successful bid to host UK Pride 2025. As Co-Chair of the Portsmouth Pride Trust and founder of an intersectional queer activism campaign, CP is a fierce advocate for inclusion and progress.
Portsmouth Pride is passionate about making their city one of the most inclusive and diverse locations for members of the LGBTQ+ community to live, work or study. CP and the team are on a mission to make Pride in Portsmouth more than just a one day event and are focused on keeping pride FREE always.
Creating safe spaces for the community to come together through a series of year-round events, the Portsmouth pride team are passionate about making sure that we celebrate the diversity of our amazing city and it's residents.
We are leading members of the UK Pride Organisers' Network (UKPON) and as volunteers, we all work to share resources and expertise with other members across the country, but the celebrations, friendships, social opportunities, and safe spaces don't just stop there.
