Hour 1:
My first guest tonight is a BBQ captain of industry, a rub manufacturer and the pitmaster of Big Poppa Smokers. Sterling Ball joins me to talk about the King of the Smokers, his takes on certain KCBS items, his products, his Elite Teams, BJ’s Brewhouse and a number of other issues of the day. During the 2nd hour, we hype up the biggest contest of the year (in regards to KCBS TOTY implications) taking place in Calhoun, GA this Saturday. Should the BBQ gods see fit, this event will be the deciding factor to determine if TRUEBUD BBQÂ or Warren County Pork Choppers will take the title in contest format.
Tim Grant will join me to discuss his season and how he asses his chances this weekend. I will also ask him about how TOTY tie breaker rules currently sit and if there needs to be any adjusting given what has happened this season.
