Hold on, hold on some special you're on ship. Welcome, come come to the show you want to only I can Tabia some be more exact when your baby India solo. This is the Fall Alert Show. Tell you World, Welcome to another episode of the botherser Show podcast. We are talking to somebody who is funny as hell today. Y'all might know him on Instagram as that boy Funny, but his real name is Jones Kenya. I was like the Kennetist.
I just wanted to be right because of Ethiopian and our names are really trashed, so I just want to make sure that you Yeah. So I actually met him outside in these at L streets and shout out to my clay. He was like, to that boy funny, you gotta meet him. But I was like, all right, everybody's funny. So I go to this Instagram the next day and I stalk it and the man is pretty funny. You are very fun I definitely one on your page. Where where are you from for Miami, Florida? Oh really, m M.
That's always good to know. That's always good to know. So tell us about yourself, man, about myself six ft with shocks on six ft uh for Monami, Florida. I grew up in Chocolate Cities, like a small neighborhood down soft. A lot of people don't really know about Downstaw, but I know, like I said, like homestead if that win't bell, no homestead because big down there. Um. I've been doing the company for over uh seven years, three months and three hours right now. Um, I went to Famu College
shout out to the rat looks. I went, wait a minute, you went, Where where'd you go? Family? Universe Family Black College that like uh durd and Black. I recently just moved here, like uh, I've said about about it be a year and a half now. I was living in the home point back in two seventeen eighteen. Where is here Atlanta? Yeah here, I just moved here right back in late twenty eighteen nineteen ish. What made you make
that move? Um? The pricing Yeah different in the pandemic. Yeah, you know, when the pandemic wasn't really going on and when I was to call, but just the pricing and everything, uh the five and because I've been put the king to Atlanta and I just had to go for the Biggie James. You know, I am like sail I was doing to Cally go to the Big Puzzle, and yeah, I was missing a lot of pieces of my postal, so I had to come up. So what made you
pick up a mic? I've really been doing the comedy before, like it's been a class plan, but I was a smart class plan for my parents to play that. So I don't have said you can get a part of it it up. Um picking up mike? I started, Uh, I say, at FAM, you and my biggest show. I wanted it to be like two people, but it was the whole school. And I was already putting in white like my transfer papers because you know you messed up at FAM or you can't walk on campus like that out there. Yeah
they tough. Yeah, and I picked up a mighty back in twice six to and then my first show and then went they went not right, I got some I ain't get nobody to stand up, but I got smarting, you know, move their body and applause. Man. Yeah, but real quick too before you try. Man, is this your charging all your skits? Because I see a great charge and every damn every other post is a great charge. This is your charging. Oh yeah, the cat pad just
got it. Uh when I got it. They I think it's a wasn't to Alemen thing because they broke it for me like they broke it in is like it's teaching uh call how to walk. They got ye out. Yes, I put that out there and Atlanta thing, y'all. This is some recent stuff that is not no bones Atlanta things. So they bust out the back window. I say, just putting the insurance on your window more than your car. Yeah, they hit me early. I just got the car to call him know how to walk? Yet just I just
got it. Ain't just got it. Two days later they hit me. But you know it is they said, just like a little welcome. I think once they do it one time, that is it. So I say do it yourself first before somebody gets you following next you we're talking to that boy funny. Can you explain this name? What made you stick with that name? Really? Um? It was a hard time with me finding the name, and and I just, um, I don't know because I've just
been thinking of some random stuff. So and when I can't more that boy funny, I said, I needed a name to stand out so when people promote me, like you know about that boy funny, who that boy funny and then he'll be like that boy funny and my homeboys shot the fight and funny he had the fact and funny in front of it. So I just came up with something different way that boy and funny. Man, I know who it is and who you just know
it that boy and pretty much it was. It was tough because every time I get on the stage, they saying, give it up for that, we're funny. I gotta be funny. So it's just like so it was just it was a tough name, and I like, you know, I like to be up for the challenge. Kind of reminds me of a Boondocks episode with a pimp name slicked back. You gotta say the whole thing. Yeah, listen at a time where like it kind of seems like going viral is an easy thing to do. What you really think
that you would be this sensation you are? You dafinitely got a million followers on Instagram along. Yeah, it's just knowing and it's like knowing your own knowing your own stuff and like training your mind like you're gonna be the best. You don't know when your time coming. Just don't give up that weight. So about going viral and all that. It's just not pretty much. It's just be knowing what to do and how to post, because you
can go viral off anything. It could be something stupid or to be like just parting to what's going on, not saying our pards, just everything. You just knowing what's going on. And I'd just be putting out certain something content that's like relatable and absolutely stuff I've been through and pretty much a lot of certain things going viral. And and I was a late bloomer though like a lot of people. I started with the DCS and all that. I'm not never really like when I was in California,
I stuck at two hundred thousand. I was a two hundred thousand since two hundred thousand, like I was for
a whole seven months and two hundred thou votes. But I never let that guy ahead of me, because a lot of people that started with me did stop doing it, and they still reach out to me, and I was like, man, you know, come on, you're still good on my end and we can still work and ever somebody that transition to Atlanta, I started Skyrocket and I started Lincoln and you know, getting with different influencers and pretty much not giving up because I knew I was gonna the town
was gonna come. And it's good like take the those stairs instead of the elevated because you know you can really you can mess up an ankle now A good Wait wait question question question so uh as an? So are you you consider yourself a comedian? Right? This is two point questions? Um, mostly as a entertainment really okay? So the second question is, so do you have to link with other people to write these kits? Do you come up with these kits in your head? Like? How
do you guys come up with your content? I always wanted to ask you all that question. I mean, like with the with comedy Man, it's so many Like there's so many different type of like generals and companies such as regular company to you got an anime company, which I never did before. So it's just like with my Columbany is just relatable stuff that I come up with. And and I also bring out characters to remind people
of who they you know, been around. So I got like, um, a character, we're hours, I'm bringing all my characters back, Um, the old man character were out character in the hood, character called treat and funny and um uh, DJ talked a lot, which is the DJ character. Oh that's good, that is good. I don't think I know about any other like DJ character that you know, a comedian or entertainer does. So yeah, yeah, you're I think you're the first person I've seen kind of really de Yeah. So wait,
where are you planning to take this? Wait? How far? How far you want to take this? I mean, I'm not gonna give up with the only thing I knew is next movies to cook brads, And I ain't cutting aintle back cutting grass. And you want to ask do you want your own show? Like where do you want
to take your comments? Pretty much like I said, when I bring out the characters, I want to you know, go towards like I always look up towards Martine so I always got my carrecters in the way, and of course, of course the um towards the Eddie may Um, Eddie Murphy um, which is he's like to do with it, and pretty much towards that room of company and bringing that back because you don't really see that like towards
the you know, the Eddie Murphys and the Martins. It's really do you think what I was trying to ask you is how do you earn revenue? Sir? Okay, listen a look, that's the thing. Now. I see some influencers and you know, uh, entertainers, people that break out on social media that appear to begin somebody, they seem to be living well. But everybody that got a million followers ain't making money like that. Yeah, everything everything you see ain't Yeah, sometimes all don't add up to in coming.
It's all all the hustle though, It's all it's people that's with the me anders. Sometimes they don't know them. I got no route towards it, like some people just maybe just went Barrol, got phones and don't know how to manage, and it's all you can't It's all the hustle. Still at the end of the day, is all within you. So it's like me, I can make money out of promotions. I can make money off of getting too like you, no videos, I can sell some stuff. I can put
my name on a piece of napkin. It's all how you gonna you know, it's all your hustle within it. And then it spirit started paying though it's it's not that much. But I really was getting paid on Facebook and I ran, I ran up a lot on Facebook. So okay, let me see you. You you've been in music videos with money Back y'all, black y'all a buggy. What are you doing in these videos? Um? The one to three video was cutting up in that with me funny market who just cut en up? Because actually, umu,
I was. I wasn't. I wasn't both to even how to mic in that video and create funny. Marco gave me the chance shout at him, so I don't know if he didn't want new, but I see they need to give me the mic. I'm gonna say something because I know they're gonna keep you careing on you more than me, So let me keep my shoulder next to you so they can and I go wear that little
piece of clothes and they know that with me. But pretty much who was there was It was lit video shoot and I try to do more video shoots and trying to you know, because its Atlanta, so you pretty much gonna keep that face out there. So he said, you did the one to three video with black Yaster. What are some of the other videos that you've done? I did eight booi? Um look was look back at it. Yeah, Oh yeah, that was looking back at it. I would
looking yeah. I mean, you gotta you gotta get you gotta get, you gotta get what you what you you come from work and then you steal yourself at the end of the days. So you're gonna we don't so you know, look, before we get into bottom, let's talk about this tour that you're supposed to be taking. Going on the tour doing two tell us about the tour, where you're going, where you're starting. I first stopped, we
got um Columbus, Ohio. That's on the night, and then we got one at Tallahassee on the plus the fifteen, and then we also got one of the coming up with Comedy and Change. I think that's DC jumped on a new thing in Miami on um not I mean next month, think yeah. So we're starting right now and then we're trying to fill it up whether we're doing one at a club or in the backyard or at
the red light. So we're just trying to keep that skills busy and pretty much I'm like the top of my team and it's called doing too much company tour and pretty much gonna be me basketball wer DCP came Marley claim. It's like a it's like a team that we've first started with like five years ago and we finally came back together, which is crazy. I'm looking forward
to it hopefully. You know, you have been let a show that we can all check out really soon because it's pretty it pretty much is a company on experience, So it's pretty much gonna be standing up with games and like it's pretty much we kind of changed the change that we We did a little study and were trying to change the show too, So y'all it's gonna be dope. It's differently your energy to the experience. Oh yeah,
it's gonna be all type of energy. How how old are you if your mind is at hold him now or like right now now, not yesterday, but today? Sick? Okay? Alright, cool? Yeah, man, ladies, holler up. That boy's funny, okay, because he really is. We eachilling with that boy funny right here on the Baller Alert Show. I hope you stick around. We got Baller Mail coming up next. A right time footballer male Dell Rory. Do all men cheat? I've been cheated on my entire life, now that I think about it, I don't trust a soul. This new man I'm with hasn't cheated on me yet, but he's so perfect. I don't believe it. I don't run I do not want to run him off. What should I do? And before you
all answer, we're gonna take a quick commercial break. It's the ball Alert Show. We'll be back with more baller mail. We'll be right back. Stay tuned with more of the Baller Alert Show. You're listening to expect. She addition up the ball I tell you Mary Serai Simmons and Sue so Long, this is special cloth Alert. Mess it now that boy funny, oh man cheat and this lady is with her man right now, and she said that he's perfect. Don't believe it? What do you think she should do?
My g I mean she already said, yeah, why are you waiting to see it? The man teaching and you're already putting that that past him? Um? I mean you never know where you've been going through, you know, and the old man it depends like they stay together right now, I don't. I gotta be interview deal. I mean, man, don't cheek. If they do chee, they might they just messed up. That's a difference from cheating and messing up
and he might forgot they it's not. It's not cheating because I think because people got different options, don't cheating because you can say what is cheats and you're saying you have different chas tapes in or sexual activity or or looking at a girl to getting mad to say your cheating as you look at another girl, you know, bottoms and so so, don't think, Um, that's your answer. I mean I think I had like three answers. The first answer was I'm still doing that. I thought that
campaign that that a little while ago. The first question is do all man cheat? And she said she's been cheated on her entire life? What do you think to solo, I'm gonna go last. Oh, Um, I think maybe most men cheat. I think there are quite a few sprinkled in the crowd that probably don't, says um. I think if you go into every relationship thinking that a man cheat on you, so you might need some therapy, try
to find some healing. And I said, like, you either gonna try to figure out why it is that you keep having these negative thoughts or or he might really be getting ready to cheat on you. Either want to fix what's up. Oh her life, she's had the fight. But I think that I do not think that all men chet uh likes you said about the therapy. You know, sometimes when you keep running into the same issue, you have to look within and try to fix you and
figure out what's going on with you. So I would just take some time figure out myself and then you know, go go back out there and uh, you know, see if I still attract the same kind because for all your life, babies, TI man, somebody tagged me in the real QUI somebody tagged me. Now you go there, you go listen. Uh, I think it's something personal you got on or you need to unpack boot because black man
do not cheat. Black man do not cheat. It seems like you was in some convening chips and not relationships. And when guys are in a convenient chip. Oh yeah, she cool. You know what I'm saying. She cool? You know when you cool and you know you got a little you got options, you know what I'm saying. But unless the guy is deeply in love and he don't want to jeopardize losing his lady, that guy ain't gonna
damn cheat. And he's black man. You did what I'm saying, So, baby, I think you need to go have some professional conversations with somebody who can help you unpack what type of insecurities you got going on. In all seriousness, don't run this man off because he might not be the cheater that you've been looking for your whole life. And guess what, sometimes we have that immature thing in our head that if you think we cheat, we'd be like, well, hen
I had to do it. You don't do that, or run him off and be like, you know what, I'm trying to be a good guy for you to the you know what I'm saying, Blase blase, and now he want to leave and he wasn't cheating on you, blessing. Okay, I think you need to go speak to somebody, don't. I know you spoke to us at the ball Alert show and we was on Instagram and all that, But I would say, this is something serious that's going on
within you because you cannot put your past situation. Ships or the new guy don't got nothing to do with what the previous guy did to you. Fast advice that I think you should take. The relationship advice sucks, especially from people who are single. Okay, no, no, no, I'm just saying, like, if you're happy, relationship happy, it's cold, be happy, be free? What my dogs? You just say? Free bads, be free, gotta be free? Be all right? Man, you know what I'm saying. Just don't don't run this
guy off. This might be sunshine that you've been waiting on. Baby, that's it, I would say. From single people, and uh, from people who just got into relationships, I thought you were gonna add something else to that. People always think they can find the right one in the US, because I I'll still be like, I don't know if I foun't you know, I ain't. I ain't never going to do.
But I don't even know how to really do by walk like you did playing Sometimes you gotta even go to the list do This man is the perfect man, and I got the perfect man. I don't, I don't know. I've been I've been I've been I've been singing for a minute, so I just but that boy is funny right there. That was real funny. This whole bather mail. Yeah, be racking up y'all. Tell us where you're gonna be at soon for this tour. The first day when Palambos, Ohio.
