I have a twelve year old chocolate labl about twelve and a half year old chocolate lab asked and whose kidneys have been failing. For the past few months. We have been in out of the vet um and unfortunately I had to let her go July first. It was extremely emotional.

As you guys know, there is still a genocide going on in the region of tig Ride, which is where my family is from. So we're already dealing with a lack of communication with our family back home, wondering who is alive, who was hurt, who needs help, boosing needs three sources. I mean, there's just so much going on, and asked and had literally been like my piece at home, like coming home to her every day. Anybody who's a

pet parent definitely understands what I'm saying. So UM shout out to all the people with for babies and and who do any and everything you can to try and take care of them. I hope that you'll take lots of pictures, which is something I really regret, but most importantly, I hope you guys just make a lifetime memories, because it's something different when your fur baby goes. I was talking to Sue, he was talking, um, you know on the side the other day and I was like, man, I really want to talk to the dude who's doing my suit for my wedding because he actually not only does he have stories across the country and he does suits for a little baby to pee to all the very top tier people, uh down to you know, your your normal none the five person. Um, he also has this all black polo team or something like that. That's that's right, Yeah, can we can we talk about sure?

So um, you know, as a kid that grew riding horses in d C and uh, it was a good experience for me. So that exposure, I feel attributed to me being able to do a lot of things in life, and so I wanted to be able to give other kids the same opportunities I saw. I started foundation which was called Riote Olympics, and we create uh polo teams in the city, kid polo teams and so forth. So our biggest plan to thing so far as we founder of co founders for the more House Polo team, which

is the first and only Black Colors polo team in history. Okay, we we all know that horses cost a lot of money, you know, and being around and costs a lot of money. So do you come from money? Mr Miguel, now hard, I've never been asked that before, But no, I don't come from money. My family, Uh we grew up in northwest Washington, d c uh, you know, typical Washington seventies Washington family, and it was a different environment like most of us grew up in. So no, I don't come

from money. Okay, because when I hear horses, I'm like, oh, okay, I know that right. Well, you know, the thing is my my whole experience, you know, my grandmother different sis a riding lessons, but a lot of my varriety came from me working at the barns, cleaning up the horses and so forth in order in exchange for my ride. So uh, you know, and that's one thing I like about it too, because what we do is we you know,

teaches kids responsibility. Gives my opportunities, but also uh they're learning about working work ethic uh and developing uh you know, responsibilities. All right, now, let's talk about these suits man, because you're not at the Phipps Plaza store, which story you. I'm in my DC store. So you watch the Harvard man. So you let me sit around here. But he gotta store, so he gotta store in New York. You gotta store with Miami and we all over the East coach boy. Yeah,

I try to zoom past that. So you actually have your own stores where you can carry your brands, where your customers can come in, try things on, possibly meet you. Do you have multiples? Yeah? So we have locations in Atlanta, uh, Miami, d C in New York. Now, these people you have all you have all types of clientele. You have your I've seen some twins coming in your store and fips the other day. Um, and I wouldn't I wouldn't try to ear hustle, but you know they're your normal guy.

Do you have me fly got come up in there? You know? Uh you know we we we were on the radio that I've seen a little baby tell you in the post. I've seen, um man, I hate name dropping, but I've seen all these wide varieties I've seen. Uh, two chains are right here, man, snoop, you did her.

I just thought that you change. Well, okay, let's talk about you did talk about this brandcause let's talk about the Brandon aspect because this is very difficult to bring yourself, especially in places like New York, Atlanta, DC, Miami for you to stick out or what how do you do? What do you do to bring yourself? Like? How are you getting these clients like this? Well, you know it started out with me identifying area that nobody else really

operating and that's uh wedding a tire ferment. So you know, the onely things I tell people all the time is that, you know, I think people starting businesses always think they need to focus in on Everything's scared to miss something, so they want to feel a one shot, that's all. And I think what's uh more effective marketing is when you become a specialist and you become the person that people go to for one particular thing. So for me,

it was wedding and time for men. You know, no one was really uh focused on doing really nice to toxedos and normal ware. So that's where I really uh was able to establish my my brand. I created the tagline because it's his day too. And you know, there resonates with people who are looking for something special for that day. So it's it's more than the clothes. We

also often experience. So I think from a brand new standpoint in the wedding space, women are the ones who do the research and eighty one to say, baby, go over here, won't want you tuxedo from this guy. We're gonna do cake for this lady. Don't do all this. So I think that uh, my page stands out to women when they're getting married, and they tend to, uh send the grooms to me. Now that's that's that's what happened to the shoah sent me your page and then

I said you d M and then we linked up exactly. Yeah, you actually have me d DJ one of your your events. Let's talk about your events, because I think I don't think to solo knows about this event that you're doing. She needs to go. Um, let's talk about these events. Room classes. Sure, So I started the Atlanta Fashion Polo

Classes and it's a they party is it was a weekend. Actually, the events we do and we especially have a fashion show, we have a polo matches and you know, the whole concept there is that we want to expose our community to something they normally don't get the seen. You know a lot of times when you go to polo matches, it's uh, you know, European white coat and my party. It's our culture being celebrated to the extent. And even that, um, we only served black owned spirits. So it's a say

culture class, you gotta go. So this is this is the vibe for real. Yeah, car keep going. Keeps have been Bailey's been our sponsor for the last four years and they will be our sponsor this year. Uh. Photo Classic weekends October eight through the tenth, and you know, we gotta we got a formal party with day parties and let me have a photo party. But all of them are a fashion show within within itself. So it's about the tire people from from all over the country

with the outfits paired and so forth. Uh dead a polo match, you know, you can fly into the photo field on helicopter. On our helicopters. We have Bentley picked you up shuttle service. So it's it's it's really luxury on tenth thousand. Okay, So I'm letting you know right now today, at this moment, Miguel, I want a full experience I want the whole nine, me and my girl. We're gonna blacklicopter all yes experience. It sounds amazing. Yeah.

So Miguel, hey, real quick, quick, real quick comment. I was actually gonna make to sue one of my grooms man, but you know, it was between her and my cousin, and I had to do my cousin. You know, so you are actually almost gonna get her a tough out the head of looking I would head a right to listen. I was so ready for Miguel. I was like, oh, I thought to be so flat flout to shut it down. But then the cousin one. You know that, I guess

blood is thick family renews versus co worker stuff. I was like, you have a family, using gonna be pressure, so I ain't want I ain't want to. Obviously, style ranges, right, people came from different walks. Only people have their own personal style. How do you guide your clients into going the right way? Because I'm sure you've had some people that we're just throwing things together that would just not get like, how do you and your staff guide these

people to make the best decisions? M hm? So you know the first step I'd like to listen to the bride. I like to listen to the groom and get their vision because a lot of times, you know, they have a vision or thought they've been dreaming about since childbirth, colors the look, feel and everything. However, you know, when someone says something that I can't visualize or don't really like, I just tell them, you know, I understand. I think in your mind this might look well, but I don't

think it's gonna look great. So I think you know, a lot of times most of them listen to me and my uh my advice on them. You know, things have changed and make it more appealing. So um Jenny speaking, you know, I get some input from the bride. But just like with the groom, lots women don't let us see the clothes, right, the groom never gets to see the bride's dress. I'm sure for all, you haven't seen your your lady's up down yet, so I see I'm

not allowed to see him exactly. So, so when when Brad's come in my store, we literally asked them to leave after they tell me, you know, whatever their vision is. So I don't want them to see what the guys are doing. So into that and to the wedding deck.

So we have a pretty good policy in the store to keep it special for everyone, uh and give guys the same experience and also the same experience to women because it's something special about seeing them for the first time in the tuxedo looking better than ever look in life, you know, uh at the end of the out. So that's you know how we kind of specialize in in the whole experience too for guys. I love that. I love that. Okay. Last question, which celebrity was the best

to work work with? And which celebrity was the worst to work with? Were the hardest to work with? Okay, So I'm gonna say by far head and above everyone is to change in terms of the best. And a couple of things about my experience with him that made it very very special, uh. First and foremost, you know, just uh spending time with him feel cool, down the

earth guy. But also you know, he has uh a lot of times we talked, you know, he's talking about, you know, collaborate with black businesses, doing stuff with other people and giving back in a lot of way. So so I connected him on things like that. Then he did something that I haven't seen any other rapper dude, and that he put me on his records. So if you listen to the sect the record Southside Hole, you guys,

Personalness says Uh, I got to shoot from Miguel. You know if Fitney will and generally speaking for a rapper to give a designer brand recognition, sometimes they pay for sometimes you know, they just give love to do Cheata or give love to Rasashi and all these other people. Okay, but he didn't even tell me he was doing it.

He didn't ask people anything to do it is his management called me and say, hey man, you know actually his uh is uh Stylus called me, said Miguel, I'm in the studio and change and dropped his verse Dawn with your name on it. It's and it's cold, And I was like what so maybe too much later came out.

I ain't talked him about anything. So I thought that was like cool, was thing for the culture, not just me personally, but just the ships and culture to where we are starting to promote each other luxury brands and start giving recognition to each other in other areas. Like we were so cool with given uh black designers five dollar T shirt money, you know, but when it comes to the luxury three dollars shirts or you know, spending some real money. You know, a lot of a lot

of guys gonna do that. And to have that done and to show me the love he did with no man, he paid me for everything I've ever done for him. Okay, So like I get anything free, I charged him for everything on top that that, that's just unspeakable. I pray that that's something that more UH of our UH rappers and things do start to give more recognition. That's that. That's one of the things I called Classic week and

I have featured UH fashion designers. I have three different fashion shows of that weekend and we have ten other designers. So you know, I try to use my platform to share for with other designers UH and other black brains. Like I was saying before, we only serve black owned spirits. So we have Whitey, which is a masterpiece, Champaigne or rose yea whiskey right out of d C. Their uncleneers UH iconic gen Greenwood whiskey. So it's just a lot of great brands and a lot of good drinking. But

it's our culture. We're celebrating us. So I think that's what makes everything we're doing special. Okay, I just real quick, the hardest person to work off. You know, I've had people I didn't like working with, but I would never um put anybody on blass like that. You know, I just let God hand for that. So I only talk about positive stuff to positive people. And I know I'm never gonna shoot down. Yeah, I'm never. I'm never gonna

shoot one of eyes down, you know. As sometimes they in the process of learning and figuring things out, and uh he said that God have a bad one. Yeah, yeah, real because you know, hey, God, blessie. You know, it's so many good things happening. Sometimes people come in a class, do your do your pathway that you know, maybe you need to put them aside and have a conversation with them and so forth, you know, and then they're still learning, they're still on the journey. They ain't bumped their head

enough yet to understand. You know, you can't treat people certain ways, you can't act a certain ways with people, and so forth. So you know, sometimes it goes comes forward circle. They come back around and keep me a little differently, But you know, I don't worry about that. Keep the moving well. I can't wait to see my boy Ferrari Simmons on his webs. Yeah, so excited to see once you came up with for him. He It's funny because you know, like you said, mentor usually get

like super involved, there's super chatty about their wedding. But I will say this man is excited about his suit. So yes, he's excited about everything. I talked to him extensively about his relationship with his lady, and you know, I'm I'm engaged down too, and it seems like we're the same place man as men, you know, really just uh looking just that peace in life and happiness and celebrating. You know, that's one special woman. So I'm really happy for him. And I can't tell you this. He's gonna

kill him. They're gonna so crush him as his wedding. So I just pray his lady got her stuff together because he's playing at all. He is ready, Okay, he is ready, all right, Betty, ready exactly. Well it's hard to say these days, okay, So whatever it is, what I will say is you need to figure out, again, what are some of the things that you could live with and some of the things you can live without, Okay, And that's how you prioritize. Don't just be lowering your standards just to go on any old damn date, just just to be with any old body like you need to make sure that this person is for you, because

your standards are your standards. You are who you are, you want, what you want, you like, what you're like, don't never be ashamed of it. Okay, if you like fifty dollar shots at the bar. That's you don't. Don't don't let nobody try to make you feel like no gold digger because you like what you like. Yeah. Uh, And usually we debate and we usually don't agree, but I actually a agree with you on this. Uh. The

lower standards for nobody be be you and be unapologetically you. Um. I will say, you know, when you do get in a relationship, you know sometimes there will be a compromise situation going on. But as far as standards, man, I mean from what you said, you said, I'm a hopeless romantic and I hate lawing my standards for the for the others. Um nah, just be paced.
