I'm planning a Click Tuesday's party at Truck bringing Click Back, So there will be a private reservations only dinner from seven to ten, and then we're going after party, which is going to be hosted by Jacob Latimore. Super excited about that. And then obviously their brunch is literally a vibe. I cannot wait for you guys to come and experience it. And um, I'm also filling in for More Quick again a couple
of days this week on the streets. Want to take Oh Jacob laddim more Mama fine to ask my sister, Hey sis gorgeous, smart and awesome, And I hope that she comes to the New Yorsity party at Traffic be everywhere he she collects the bags. Yeah, she does collect the bag. What's up with your how a show? Weekend on my weekend was good. Um, a lot of turn up healthy Genesis Friday at five? What does that come? How did it goes? Really? People participate? Where they say
people did participate? People really know this all? Yes? Yeah? Even but then I did a ketsh the cold set. You did a keys set right after that, Yeah, I did a little bit before during and then I got him ready you know, him looking out the window, that one that one post that he put when he's looking at it, he's looking back and she's holding her. He's been trolling her yet he definitely has. And then everything that was cool. While even took the gang out to
the light show in pemond I forget what it's called. Yes, yes, the Tangle Gardens. Yeah, she took him. That was super dope. And then Sunday man I just laid low. I lost in Fantasy Football Championship. But it's all good. Yeah. Yeah, long weekend, a long week I got started out d C. I had the Sound Exchange Christmas party. I want to I wanta tell you about Christmas party. Christmas parties are the funniest thing ever because they all started off slow.
It's like you're around the people you work with, your basship co workers, and you're just you're chilling. First drink, Oh girl, good to see you guys. Second, you know, and then by the fourth they ay talking about the fourth drink. It's on the problems. A big shout to Mike Huppy and everybody sounds exchanged. That was a cold group. And then I went to St. Louis one time. For St. Louis, what's out for the Midwest. I just have a certain appreciation for city that don't get all the high fives
they deserved. St. Louis, one of them says had birthday DNA Nate. It was Nate birthday. Went out there with my guy j Stax and it was a cold little time. Yeah, you check my instagram for the picture and ladies and gentlemen. I did the um the Mayor's after that, what's it called? After the mask ball party. I just want to shout out Keyshan. I may have made the Keysha have a certain affinity for that. Uh she's from Dougsville and she's uh she bought that life, y'all. She had I think
that did one point four million dollars. They raised h yes, one point for one point one point. Yeah you heard the latter, um, Yeah, but she did that man and people came out Uncle Charlie phone. It was a beautiful situation. And then the after party feature DJ Mars who will be live cassette this Thursday six um and DJ Napps a legend here in Thelanta. A lot of people don't know DJ Navs man. You know he was a part of the legendary criss Cross group. He was. He was
the one of DJ on two. You know they sold for me record before any rappers have in the history of the world. Yeah, and the history of the world. So big shop, DJ Navs you know, Energies, transferable ladies, gamers want you to notice, become great enjergy gonna leave great great energy dominates and now it's time for in case you misstead, ladies and gemen. Andre three says critical society and fame has held him back from making music. He has quoted by saying, my focus is not there,
my confidence is not there. This is one of the greatest rappers in the history of the world. Um I miss Andre three thousand and what he bought I miss him. Um. I really enjoyed that interview because he also said he feels like maybe his past is, you know, a hindrance to him, like how can I cap what I've already done? How could I do better than what I've already done?
So I think it was beautiful that he shared his vulnerability and letting us know that he's just not confident because we all look at him as one of the greatest artists of Yeah, he's top five artists across the board. And it's all about your motivation too. Sometimes you don't be motivated as an artist to to do what you're living to be that at your best, a father actor, how you like? I was having a conversation that he went from like like all those records so to like
all those amazing features, to just not want to do it. No, more like living a normal life like overalls like chilling, like not really that's cool. I mean some people, some people don't care for the light like that. I think as the music industry changed, the sounds change, what people the content changed. I think you there's a possibility he's looking at it like, how do I take who I am?
What makes me me? What makes the world love me and then help them still love me with all this be I love that analogy and you're spot on, and I you know, I'm doing this thing January eighth at the High Museum and it's about virginal Ablow and him
and get into him in the second. But I'm going through credit Andre three thousand and big Boy for the fashion icons that they are, Like I don't really I don't really think people really give them their dude, Like, you know, the South has been running it since they made their first offering musically. You know, this is my personal opinion, but we could back it up with facts.
But at the same time, I'm just like, yo, like this whole thing, Like, I don't know, He's just so necessary and he doesn't get like the three sixty respect. I think that he deserves because that man was winning wigs and he was winning show enough outfits and was I was believing it and then it carried. I mean, if you look at Thugger and you look at all the artists today that like spread their wings and try fashion,
try different things. I mean, he was the first guy speaking of virginal A your Off White, founder and artistic director for Louis Va Tim Men's were believes that streetwear will die in the next decade. Then I wanted to bring this up to y'all because y'all know, I, let's get into a street as in uh streetwear. Like so if you look at like Fashion Gigs Hole out of Chicago, if you look at the Museum out of like all the streetwear brands that come up from the neighborhood have
different sayings like uptown like br Neste Brandt. No, not at all. He's he's a fashion brand and he did not start to be a street brand. You I love your face. No, you need to know. So a street brand comes from people from the street. Let's just talk about that street culture, right, And I'm just saying street culture, so a lot of it. If you look at the beginning the Virgil Ablos contribution, it's pyrex it's a dope connotation.
It's you know what I'm saying, even is cocaine? Right, People like we're even with the offering and they say it was inspired by um push your t and all his rhetoric because he used to say pyres and stuff. It's a long story short to say street where it's
gonna be over. It is like saying that black and brown kids, to me, don't have an outlet at a certain point creatively an expression from an expression, right, Because as long as he said it's two in the article, it's on days the D A Z E D. He says that you know, basically, um, it's gonna die and it's gonna go to vintage. Well, no, as long as young black and brown kids want to express themselves street where we people are tired of hoodies and T shirts.
No they're not. That's all people wear? Are you kidding me? You can never you can never have enough? So how did it? But don't they make vintage hoodies? Like isn't isn't vintage clothing? Still depending on what you get, brands still be No, But brands like Rude and a lot of other brands actually make the ripped up in the kind of vintagey feel. So that's why I thought, maybe, like we would consider Kanye's a streetwear brand because he does his with all the distresses, and that doesn't make
a street streetwear. I think comes from a street Um let's let's define that. Yeah, I think it comes from a street eat movement, whether it be the drug culture, whether it be skating culture, whether it be culture that represents you know what I'm saying. The neighborhood absolutely gives you a cocaine, the dope crack. Yeah. But he's not from the streets. And this is where I get this is where his brand being is. I mean, I think
he's a fashion brand at this point. You know, I think that the ideas came from street culture originally, like when he was with Nike UM and I think it grew into a fashion brand. I don't you know. I think people are from the street. Well let's ask the question. If you're from the street, is a street culture or if you adopt street culture, is it from the street culture. I'm trying to get to a point. So that's like Gucci and stuff would be like fashion, nothing street about that.
Now they adapt street culture high fashion, yes, but if they are inspired by or design clothes to to make streetwear, winn that then make it streetwear. Nah. See that's what I wanted to find. That's what I wanted to Fine, what do you think, Ryan? I think like a street where it would be like the like the Jabow Jabow jeans,
But that's not because they were we war them. That's what I'm trying to say, Like when you when you start something from the neighborhood, Like when I grew up in Washington, d C. There was a store called Madness, and Madness was the corner store where all the dope boys brought the shirts to match back to the tennis shoes, the guccies, whatever. And they also sold Gucchies for double the price because you couldn't get Guchies in DC. You had to go to Atlantic City because they didn't sell
the actual sneaker. So my point is, like I felt, I felt like that is street culture. Fooboo was from the streets. They were you know, uh, wrapped around the hip hop culture like no others for us. By the was another adaptation, adaptation. I think it's an adaptation because Mark goes white and he's from the suburbs. I don't know if that street. And it's a conversation I want to have And this is what I want to talk
about January eight. I'm doing this thing at the High Museum, the Figures of Speech, because I want to know what you think streetwear is and because you know, the whole thing January eight is about virgils. You know kind of inspiration on a t L fashion culture. Right, So we have like you know, quality from Motor four for we have set by Sky. You know what I'm saying. We have you know Ronaldo, Like we have like this conversation going. I really want to know. So can they call into
absolutely bother nation. You guys can join the conversation and let us know what you think streetwear is. You can call or text us at three zero five eight seven six six six three one. Again that's three zero five eight seven six six six three one. What is streetwear? Yea, what the streetwear? What do you consider street I want to know because I consider it. Let's go around the table. Kenny Burns considers it to be from the street, made from people that hundred fact. What do you think? So
what do you what do you think? I agree? I agree? Yeah, I agree. So I'm saying that that corner store that you used to go to that had the close specifically for everybody in the neighborhood. All right, Well for me to solo, I cansider street Where almost like a hobo chic going against the grain layers textures like I just see street Where being like a combination of personal style and street style like good style. Okay, ball the nation, let us know, ladies and gentlemen. Twitter reacts after a
sad Rockies sex underwhelming alleged sex tape. So you know, I only want you in Octavie to comment on this. But by the way, what do you think, ladies? Well, I did not watch it, but I did read quite a few comments and crowd reactions, and a lot of the women were really sad because their fantasy, their fantasies meant nothing anymore. It was like, oh my god, but that helps with the babies leak news. Oh yeah, okay, well, let's finish talking about a Rockies little little tells what happened.
I don't even did apparently, uh the baby has news out there too, if people would check in Twitter this weekend, well to find out. I looked at it the day that it came out, and then I had to make sure that my good friend, I'll tape your sawid this morning. Okay, ladies and gentlemen. Kim Kardashian for seven Hollywood Magazine is catching a lot of flag. She looks a lot like dyeing Carol. They're saying it's black face. How do you feel like, I think it's lighting. I think people are overreacting.
I agree with robbery. I think you're overreacting. Could be a simple lighting. No, no it's not. But we're talking about Kim Kardashian. She definitely tried to look darker. Let's, but I agree with you that if that's you know, I don't it doesn't look like black face. I mean, let's it's definitely not black face exactly. So it's like, okay, you're helatane, Okay, next, you know what I'm saying, I
don't think. Well, I think when you put when you tear your skin and you're a lot of complexion and you're you know, not black, I feel like that's what they consider is black face. That's what I think it is, too, because I think we're considering black face what it used to be super dark paint on someone's face. But I think this is like modern day black face. Like how many women do we see on social media who aren't black? Uh? You know post there before a picture and then they're
after a picture would make up? I'm like, sis, did you use my foundation? Like like, what are you doing? Right? That's just like those um intentionally like you said paint their face with that darker foundation just to look a little bit more black. You know, that's black face in me too. Yeah, you know. I think black women all across the black and brown women all across the board, I think you should. Uh it's a form of flatter
they want to be you. I don't you know what I'm saying, Like, I think the disgust comes from No, I think the disgust comes from them dating black men and taking your black men. I think that's is that not where the frustration comes from. Not for me? Is it frustration. There's a lot of norustration. I hear women all the time say they are taking our black men quote unquote too many of them. It's just how many
of them? In four of them? You know the one white guy that that we know Kim have been dating that in last year. No, it was something you keep the Caucasians. NBA player don't remember she married him. Cha. I don't care that they date flown around. I don't care that they ate black men. I just really hate them. It's just it's just a cultural it's just a climate of America, you know, and the disrespect black people have taken over the years. I mean listen. It was out
without question the fact. But I do think, and I want to hear from ball the nation, ladies, is it because they are taking your black men? Or is it because it's black face? Because that wasn't black face. Black face and you don't see some things on him that where white women went off the cliff and they turned they I mean when you when you go from to this color, then that's to me, that's black face. You
don't change your whole complexion. Kim could probably get that tan I think saying they, I think it's that they still our culture. I don't. I don't think it's about them actually dating the black guys. I think it's about them trying to be like us. If somebody tries imitations best and somebody tries to be like me, I don't. I'm not true because I'm me, but I do. I do get black face. Now, black face is totally different from what I'm saying. Three years of being flattered of
them benefiting off of our culture. They can do things that if we're not allowed to do as black people, but they're allowed to do it. Chlorie Kardashian got a lot of backlash because she appeared on the cover of somebody's magazine, and um, kind of like, what do you call it, like something that they would wear in the Middle East, that you know where they cover their hair and most of their faces. He job Like. I'm sure it wasn't exactly a her job, because I believe her
jobs are are religious for them. But if there have been Muslim women or women of any culture that have been told to remove those carves for photos or any job opportunities, why is it that she's allowed to do it and be on a national cover? Okay? Great? Speaking of Christians, a conservative Christian radio station in Denver canceled one of its shows on Wednesday of last week after the host made an outrageously inappropriate comment about wishing for
a school shooting to break up Donald Trump's never ending impeachment. Uh. First of all, we went through this whole appeachment thing last week, right, and people really didn't understand that impeachment meant that there was gonna be another process to really get him out, right, So there was several tutorials I think, uh, I mean everybody posted, I mean, just on what actually happens next. And the point I'm trying to make it is this radio station in Denver. They basically said they
wanted the school shooting. Yes, I mean, and it was it was, it was, it was hurt. It was supposed to be a joke, but you can't joke like that, right, And it's in a state where the Columbine shot exactly. I mean, it was just a year there, like oh, I mean like there was the anniversary was recent rather So my point is, how do you make a statement like that to protect someone like Donald Trump? Like this is where this is where society has jumped off the cliff.
You say, oh, I wish there was a school shoot something to getting the guy attention, like you really and you're a Christian. You're a Christian. And even as I was listening to the deliberation before they made the decision, it was like there was yo, I said it last week. There was a guy from Louisiana. This man sound like he was the head of the KKK. He was talking about, uh, protecting our damn there are He didn't say race, but it was like sounding like protecting are like we're patriots,
were not gonna let this. I mean, it was unbelievable. And then you have Christians on the radio saying, which has been canceled by the way it has been canceled. Right ful, so unbelievable. Let us see the racism. Go ahead, and Eric, we need to see this, ladies and gentlemen. I don't know if this is racial or not, but as funny as a motherfucker, Nick Cannon versus Eminem. You know this, This has been going on silently for a long time. No, he's Eminem used to fry Mariah carry
all the time. But disrespect. Why can't he get to continue? Remember Eminem been doing that though that's not new. No, but but but dog like if he went on white his wife man Nick Nick got every year. But my point is Nick while the years later though, bro, No, he just because he did a song on the Fat Joe record recently something okay, that's remember when he first came out. He was going in on Britney Spears Mariah
when he first first came out. And then when Nick married Maria, he was like, hey, hold on, you ain't right. You know what I'm saying. Smoke now you know what I'm saying. That's my wife, my baby, And so I mean just never stopped. I think men and y'all can correct me if I'm wrong. I feel like men understand that wives are just off limits, like you just don't talk about a manner once she got married. No, I mean,
first of all, that's a that's an ass whooping. That's not even you know, I'm saying somebody, Yeah, Nick has been trying to fight. It's not hard to fight somebody. You know, this is my things, and he probably would get eminent, imminent, probably get sucked up. Eminem really get botox. There's a lot of people that got bot talks. If you want to push side by side some real botox. Speaking of bot talk, Sophia the Guard, y'all isn't talking
to replace Gabriel. You know, America's got talent. I don't know that it's just a token black of brown thing at this point. I mean, like what I mean, I don't know, you know what. But I'm just saying, like, I mean, however, is the bullshit man who's gonna jump out there and put the first all black cast on one of these You want some real commentaries, some color commentaries, some real energy. It's some truth. Hi, all black folks going to plan, That's all I'm saying, ABC, NBC, CNN, TBS.
I think that's U MTV. I think that's up to us. That could eventually happen, though, how would how would it be to have all black casts? Four years out of all black casts? In the commentary all black production, we started with all black, all black? Okay? Can I just have all black cast, a black cast, and all black audience. I think that's called racism. The Apollo was that black show, but we didn't have the people, but we had, you know, the crowd, and they would tell you if you're good
or if you're not. I'm talking about if y'all want ratings, NBC, ABC, CNN, T get you an all black panel to judge something. It's the most it's the most entertainment thing you ever seen in the history of the world. A Lady Gem of Mob Wives star Dreader Dievonzo arrested on gunn and Jugs Drug. How you just know you know you're being watched? You was on the on the Mob Bad is Mob
Lady on that show. What I don't understand is when you know the type of life that you are actually living, why would you do any type of show, let alone a reality show? Yeah, that's my thing. Yeah, And then they got that new show. What's the show called Cartel? So I'm like, what the Yeah, some people just lot of cameras. But that's what the Teflon Donald was doing, John Gotti, he lot of cameras you life. Yeah, that's
what I'm saying. But that you're doing, that's like dudes on the Instagram showing drugs, weed and money like that. Imagine being Drea Neabor and you're having to see that she's on this reality show talking about this lifestyle. I would be concerned, who do I live next? Imagine being the plug Okay, I'm not serving you anymore, ladies, and the Public Enemy to receive Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Cat One time for the beautiful Genuss Public Enemy.
I know when I was in high school, I used to draw that logo on the close. Yeah, so they deserve that, man, I think, you know, our superheroes need to be honored, y'all. It's a real big thing. And one time for a man that seals y'all. She would be joining the cast of the Real at the fifth co host. I love her conversation, I love how real she is. She is unapologetically black word. She gonna get the politically together though, she's gonna get that as politically together.
That's almost an all black cast and considering get talking about she's a great replacement for Tamar. It's a great replacement for Tamar. Oh no, she's amazing. Are you team seals? I am? Yeah. What's what's the girl name of day? Jesus? I love her? I just forgot her name, learned her mama got this thing? What's it called? Mama? Her night? Her name? You gotta get some of her name? Yeah? I love Jenny. What's up? Um? So? Yeah? And everybody
know they're dating, right, Yeah? They what's the whole thing? Wanted to bring some more inside and information now you uh, speaking of this gang stuff? Y'all? New York City authorities take down nineties six MS thirteen gang members and the largest takedown of gangs in the state. How do you do that? Watch you watch Instagram? That's how you do it, right, these people being watched, that's a lot MS. I wonder how long they were applied Deadly gang gang to do
this MS thirteen story. You want to hear? So when I was in high school, my cousin was dating somebody. She was a drama queen. You know what I'm saying. The dude in the gym throw a basketball here and the stuff. So she went around and tell everybody she was pregnant. Right, So Leo called me, Yo, I need you to come up here. Man, Mexican dude may do things. We don't get this, you know, something like cool to me.
And I'm at I'm at school. A cross street was a store like home depo called Heck and Heck and just something. I think it was called and Just. And so my guy, who my big bro, he worked there. I went to get him. We went up to the school. So we catch dude outside whooping, you know, not too found. The whole thing's going down right next thing, you know. Two days later, I'm on the bus go on to school. I did not know this man was a part of him. That's thirteen, myn just thirty years ago. So if you're
hearing this guy, bless you. I hope you got you know what I'm saying, the dreams. But I'm on the plant, I mean on the bus. I get in, I go to the back. Two stars later he get on the bus. And when I tell you haven't seen the movie with somebody just looking in the back and they're like, I'm gonna kill everything in this march like and I'm like, lord, the man is you know back in the day. Yeah, they were just they was. They was known for cutting you up. So I'm like this come through this. But
I swear to God, that goddamn bus stop. I got it. You should have seen a gazelle run. I got because he was with his partners and he was known, like you know what I'm saying, So it was a real big deal. Man. So one time out? Yeah, what time for Charlotte mane Man, give it up for Charlotte man. I feel like some big it's coming for that man, you know what I'm saying, because he is like turned his whole. I mean even remember he was like drama filled.
He reinvented himself very well. Speaking of reinvention, y'all, can we all say that Chris Brown's what did you see the baby on his chest? Did you see that? He's I just want him his time. He seems like dad. He seems like such a good dad. I just see I feel like I feel like it's about to change for him. I feel like the Michael Jackson comparisons and the mean you gotta think about something. He's still relative. I mean even he's relative to our generation, but he's
relative to the youngest. Like I mean, he's like the Michael Jackson for we was giving them Michael Jackson back. But he's like Michael Jackson right now of his era. No Chris Brown and his era to me. But okay, he's a close. That's what I'm saying. Like when you hear him saying you compare him to entertainment wise, I feel I think I think we're all saying he's a
great entertainer. He's got a lot of moment on That boy can dance and sing at the same time and hold a note that's like m J status for show. And when he sings, I spell it. He's one of the goats. Okay, great, I'm wishing on the star ladies and gentlemen. Bill cos. Did everybody see the genius Eddie Murphy on Saturnight Line? I missed it, but I heard it was dope. Please watch the YouTube clip. I mean, h Eddie Murphy. I think he looked a little nervous
at first. I mean it was beautiful because he had Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, you know, he had Keith Thompson and he had who was the other one, you know, the other one that was on Tracy Morgan. I was so happy to see all of the black superhero comics, you know what I mean, because that's like the general like I don't know if you guys are Hall of Knights, but that was like a movie with Richard pryor Red Fox, you know what. All of that air like the old head.
But this is like these old heads, now, you know what I'm saying. And it was just so good to
see him. He did all of his historic comics. But um he had did a part of his monologue where he basically said, who's the you know, most famous father now something like that, because Bill Cosby was and he said he basically, would you ever think that me Eddie Murphy leathern pans slaying everything moving, you know what I'm talking about, would be uh, you know what I'm saying, that the American's dead because I guess he got a newborn,
fairly newborn. Um So Bill Cosby spoke when calls Eddie Murphy a Hollywood slave after his highly rated Saturday Live return or the dude's name is Andrew White, a spokesperson for Bill Cosby, fired back at Eddie Murphy following the comedy's epic return to Saturday Ight Live Over the Weekend, where Eddie Murphy made several jokes in regards to Bill. I thought it was funny. I gotta watch it. I mean, like I mean, comedians can't comedians can't say nothing, no
more nothing. I don't know if it's beneficial for us to go in on our own all the time, in addition to the rest of the world doing that as well. We hear more about Bill Cosby than Weinstein, and it's going to continue to happen that way. So I don't know if it's really helping, but I get it ultimately. I mean, he is a comedian, right that, that's what
he wanted to talk about. But it's sensitive. It's a sensitive but it's sensitive to be a comedian now or some type of sensitivity to their to now their sets. But you can't be sensitive like he drugged all the women and he's paying his price and he was I looked at him as a father figure growing up. What do you mean and then to find the like to realize you've been drugging women the whole time. I think
all artists assisitative and this is a hypersensitive time. And it's just like, if you're artists, you just gotta go for yours because you gotta be like a Chris Brown, like I said, because he just he you just gotta do you. So no, I'm with it, man, I just again, I just thought it was beautiful to see him back. He has coming to America, come out. He has to dole a my thing on Netflix, which is hilarious. And then too, you also like see Martin Lawrence. Seems like
Martin Lawrence is slowing down just with his connectivity. Sometimes I'll be like, what's wronging? But that's what I'm saying. That's why I'm so I gotta see Bad Boys. I'm praying Bad Boys three is epic. That will probably be his I'm on my way out. Will Smith gonna keep back the though. And now it's time for a word from our sponsors, and that's time for baller ma Ry,
how you doing over there with the streets? My dear boil alert to my boyfriend posts everything on social it in and starting to take a toll in our relationship. On social media. He will post like he is rich, but we are at home struggling to make rent. He does not make money from social media. I asked him to stop posting pics beside other people's cars because his captions are lies and people are falling for it. Thirteen
thousand people are following his dumb ass. One time I caught him d m in a female I saw her name and I deemed her that he is broke. When he found out, he got mad at me. What should I do? You should leave him, okay, because that's gonna do nothing for your relationship and somebody gonna get hurt. I'm trying to understand the idea behind hitting the woman that you caught him messaging when he shouldn't have been, to tell her a big old flaw about him that
you hope would keep her from wanting him. But you'll ask still want him. But you know what this dude is like that believe it is like ninety percent of social media. Everybody be posting. But you know what, glad you said that thousand followed thirteen thousand. Dumb motherfucker's can't read through. That's a lot to That's what I'm trying to say. Thousand, He probably he probably paid if he's
