Episode description

In this episode, I chat with Denys Linkov and Nicole (Xiner) Chen, The Team Lead and VP of Program Marketing/Iroquois Ridge Chapter Lead, respectively of Tech Under 20.

Tech Under 20 is an organization that whose main goal is to connect students aged 15-20 in the Halton region who are interested in technology and business.

The organization has several initiatives:

1. Learn To Get Hired

2. Tech Under 20 Cup (Entrepreneurship competition)

3. C3 Tech Conference - one day conference for people who have a passion for business and technology

4. Policy in Technology - bringing students together to work on case studies, brainstorm ideas, concerns and policy recommendations.

Denys and Nicole share some helpful tips on time management such as knowing your energy levels, using a calendar to group meetings together, planning your time in chunks and dividing tasks based on your skillset.

We also chat about how important it is to understand what the career you're interested in is all about, what does the job really do and to consider where the career is going.
