This is Austin Theory and you're listening to the baby Faces Podcast only on iHeartRadio liter w Supt Right for Walla, and you are listening to the baby Faces on iHeartRadio. What's going on y'all is WWE superstar Kobe Kiston. You're listen into the Babyfaces on iHeartRadio. Bab all right, you hear that music that means we are back. This is the baby Faces Podcast live from iHeartRadio, Louisville. We are the official for wrestling podcasts of iHeartRadio Louisville. I am

your co host, Austin not Theory. As you can see right below me, your guy, Billy the Kid. We are just fresh off of WrestleMania forty Lincoln Financial Field and my god, Billy when we talk about a roller coaster of Rye and we talk about one hell of a weekend, this one was for the record books, right, Yeah, I mean no doubt about it, dude, especially my first WrestleMania. I know you went last year, Austin and got to see the spectacle of it all, but yeah,

being there in person nothing matches it. It's the ultimate. You know, It's like going to Disneyland for wrestling fans, and that's that's truly what It was so great weekend all around, and it was super cool to see it in the press box right to get that get that experience and guess meet with a lot of you know, fellow media members, guys that we've seen on Twitter a lot and read their stuff, and we're gonna welcome one of those

guys on today, Austin. I've been writing for Bleacherport for a while. I remember reading him for years back. Now, Yes, Graham is joining us on this show tonight. Graham, thanks so much for taking the time today, man. Yeah, no, appreciate you guys. Great to finally meet you face to face, and that's kind of the experience of the press box brings you never know who you're gonna be sitting next to. And it was cool to meet you guys, and I appreciate the support and thanks for

having me on. I'm looking forward to this. Yeah, thank you once again. I mean when we talk about like me and Billy, we always come on by saying we're never like a gotcha podcast, and we're the first

people to tell you that we're just fans. You know, we just happen to get the rub a little bit from the business, and we happen to be afforded some of the things that we got to do, like either sitting ringside at shows when they come to close to our markets, or just interviewing people, or hanging out and playing fair games with wrestlers when they come through. We just we don't claim to be journalists, We don't claim to be

even dirt sheet writers. We just happen to get lucky. But we talked about Bleacher Report, you know, and that's some journalistic integrity, I think. And you know this. You covered WrestleManias in the past, and you've been in the press box in the past, WrestleMania forty forty years of WrestleMania, you were up there. Does how do you think that that one compares to first of all other wrestler WrestleManias in general for you and just some of

the ones that you've covered. Yeah, no, it's a good question. I was talking to someone about this the other day. I feel like each one because this was the sixth one that I've been to, the fourth one I've been in the press box for the sixth one i've been to overall, the two being as fans that being thirty three and thirty five and those were fun shows as well. Yeah, so they all kind of have their own

significance to me as far as like why they're special. You know, the first one being the first one, thirty three, the Hardy Boys Return was incredible, and uh, you know, thirty seven, that one being the first in the press box and all these other different things. Some show stronger than others. So they're all kind of on the same level as far as

that goes. But I mean it's cool to see too. As far as each year that have gone in the last four years in the press box, there's been thirty seven, there was almost no one there because there's was like right in the middle of COVID, very little people there. And getting to meet more and more people putting faces to names, like you said, you know, getting to meet the people is kind of like my favorite parts of these weekends meeting new people and stuff like that. And the show itself was

great. I mean, Triple It said the other day on Raw it was the biggest WrestleMania of all time. I mean, statistically I guess it was. Will it go down as the best wrestleman of all time? Probably not I mean, we'll talk about it, but it was a fun time. I mean, as far as for me, I was just just a lot of fun to watch as a fan in kind of trying to do work in

the middle of it, was trying to balance it was. It was difficult, as it always is, but you know, especially that final moment, all of it's worth it for that final Cody Rhodes moment in the end. I know, you were in a with a one sweatshirt there, but you know, it was great. It was a lot of fun. It was a great weekend overall. Yeah. You know, one of the things I was looking forward to the most abeout going to WrestleMania is the fan access thing

they do. They called it WWE World this year. I don't know if did you get to make it out to that at all this weekend. Yeah, so that was the best. One of the best parts about the weekend was that because they haven't done access really like that way in probably five years when I was there for thirty five. The last couple of years, they had the superstore and it's you know, they had some exhibits and some cool

stuff, but they didn't really have any autograph opportunities. Picture, meet and greet stuff like that and all the other cool stuff like world like they did this shows obviously this year with like the Pat mcafe Live Show and the Bump and the Rock showed up albeit two hours late on Thursday, but he was there for a little bit. That was cool. I hope they do more

of that going forward. I think that was a Fanatics thing. They kind of partner with them to kind of make that happen, which was really sick. So I hope they do more of it. But like, yeah, the entrance thing where you can kind of make your own entrance, I've always wanted to do that and never didn't have a chance this year. The lines are always way too long. Maybe next year, but no, it's sick.

I think the way they do it in the immersive experience aspect of it has only gotten greater over the years, and that's one of the best parts of the weekend. So yeah, it was really fun to check out. They had like a media space two for us to kind of hang out in, which they have not had in the past, so that came in clutch as well. I hope they do it all up the same way next year

and even better. Yeah, I think that, you know, we've one of the things that me and Billy have always looked forward to is something like the fan access and they kind of finally brought it back a little bit. And when you talk about working, when you talk about working WrestleMania and you have you have this media access, and like I just said, well, I guess we work more like the podcast digital side. So when we are working, it's just more or less just taking videos and just posting content for

someone like Bleacher Report. When you're up there and you say you're working, what do you think, like just kind of give your fans insight, like what is the job that you're necessarily doing. I know people have followed with you, as with the lides grades we had with grades. We also had the doctor Chris mule Aro on before, so he's kind of talked to us about how that system goes. So what does work like for you when you're covering WrestleMania from the press box? I told you the other day, But

Chris is great. Doc is awesome. I've known him for a long time. He's a he's a brog, so he was fantastic. The funny thing on that end of it, mentioning him, like I feel, I think like half of the br team, the wrestling crew was at Manium, so some of them were sitting next to me, the Eric and Eric shout out to them too, Yeah, we show loved to them, shout out to them. Yeah, yeah, No, they're great. The rest of the team is great. And some of the other guys were in a suite.

They had a suite of their own that they had with fans. They're the Ring Rush radio crew, they do their own podcast. They're awesome. And then there was a few other people there too, So my point being that Chris was one of the few people that was not there, so he had to do like the live recap or the coverage of the show himself for both

nights and knocked it out of the park. So a lot of credit them and pops them for that, because while we're at the show, we're doing stuff too, but he's kind of doing the bulk of it by recapping it by not being there, which is cool. But yeah, as far as being there, it's yeah, it's different for everyone, like you said, kind of depending on the outlet and the work that you do and stuff like

that. So we were kind of handling the takeaways from the show, So as the show's going on, we're kind of doing also being there in person and observing and taking in the live atmosphere as you guys were talking about, but you know, doing the top takeaways from the show as far as what we think are the best parts of it the worst parts of it, so like Rock look great in the ring, or like La Knight's still very much over. He's been kind of cooling down in recent months, but we kind

of noticed from the reaction he's still over. Or this is where we think we're going from here and doing it as the show's progressing, so as opposed to waiting until the show's over, we can get it up as soon as the show ends, like as soon as one, two, three hits, we can publish it. So we're doing it as the show's going on. So it's tough though, because we kind of split it up. Me and Eric Beaston, who was also a BROG. We did the takeaways and he's

fantastic. He was sitting right next to me. We were kind of doing the collaboration in person is awesome, but I tried to do half of the matches. He did half of it, and I couldn't do the main event because they went to the press conference right afterward, so he did that stuff and would get it up as soon as the show was over, So it

was it was complete chaos, but it was fun. It's definitely a thrilling experience to be work, kind of just like how the it's live production at the br crew are almost just like how it is at WrestleMania and how fast they work, So you guys are almost like that the well oiled machine.

I appreciate that, man. Yeah, well you mentioned the press conference, Graham, and you had a pretty awesome moment at the night one press conference asking the rock a question and kind of like made him stumble and think for a second, like that's a great question. That had to be pretty cool to pop a rock like that a little bit, right. Yeah, thanks, man, I appreciate that. First of all, thanks for tuning in, and second of all, yeah, no, it was pretty cool.

I've had at about three years ago, I put together a list of like all right, because that was around Mania thirty seven. I went to Mania thirty seven and it was around that same time that I talked to William Regal, which was I mean, it's random but he's my favorite wrestler of all time. For as random as that sounds, him and cmpunk are my top

two favorites. It was kind of Regal that got me into wrestling, So after I talked to him, and I always thought that was impossible, I kind of put together a list of all right, if I could do that, then who else would I want to talk to at some point? And they weren't like, you know, we're not talking like a list celebrities here, but as far as like wrestling people, and the Rock was always on there. But he was always impossible because one he never does interviews and two

he's not talking about you know, PLBs like me. So that was always like you never you never really know what could happen until it happens. And that was a case where I got to ask him a question and I'm counting it. It was one question, it was one briefing reaction, but I'm counting it. So yeah, it was sick. And the tough thing about it was that I think they called them the fourth or fifth. Three of

the people that asked before me asked all three. So as soon as it came out, I had some questions that I wanted to ask one how he thought he was, like how he felt being back in the ring, to why he came back now because he's been talking about coming back for years now,

Like why now in three? I uh, the future as far as like you said, you're filming a movie and he addressed that too, so I'm like shit, Like he answered everything I wanted to ask, so it kind of had to pivot no pun intended and ask him about the pivot and stuff like that. So it was, Uh, it was definitely intimidating because he's like the man and I thought he handled it really well. He wasn't

in character, which was cool. He gave everyone their moment. He talked to me and everyone else for like four or five minutes each, which was sick. Didn't give anything away, and he was very personal. It goes to show why he is like one of the goats at this that just being wrestling or just communications or whatever. In general, the guy knows what he's doing. So it was it was pretty fucking cool, to say the least. So again, I appreciate that. Thank you so much. Yeah.

Yeah, Now, I mean you definitely got a pot from everybody in the press box when you could stumble Rock like that, and especially when we get up there, and I mean everyone kind of talks about how fake wrestling media is today and just because a lot of them were just they get up there and just kind of ask silly questions. Yeah, maybe that was some of the case today, but you definitely stood out when asking actual questions it mattered,

So props to you for that. Now, let's go ahead and talk about the Rock, and you know, like UH, me and Billy will probably get into the match by match breakdown later, but when we talk about like the two main takeaways is the night one, the UH set up the stipulation for Bloodline rules, and then you had everything with going on night too. Let's just start off with that made a minute. How did you think the Rock looked and how did you uh, how did you like the reaction

to uh? Overall? Overall to that match. I always told Billy I just pray that the Rock didn't get injured and that he didn't look like shit, just because that would validate everyone saying that why did he come back? He can't do it anymore? And then it had just been a waste. Because me and Billy are on the side of pro wrestling. Wrestling, the aspect of it is just only that, just an aspect, and Rock is

just there to get people in the seats. And sometimes we think that people take the wrestling side of sports entertainment pro wrestling way too seriously, when especially when Rock came up as some of the hottest ever and it was just all about getting asses and seats, and he just said he made it cool again and he brought a lot of the casual fans back. So how would you think that that that fair Night one with him and the reaction, and of

course with Night two, how everything played out. You talked about the pivot, talk about how you think that at the end of all this story with the Rock coming back Final Boss, how do you think that that measures up? And especially from where we were two months ago when they had their interaction with Roman Reigns and it was the most disliked video ever and people were ready to burn Philadelphia down. Yeah, tell me about it. I'm glad they

pivoted. I mean, I think if the old man was still in charge, they probably would not have. They probably would have just forced I mean, listen, in No ten years ago pivoted with Daniel Bryan. But like that's not the norm though, that was an anomaly, and that was also a decade ago. You can't really point to many of their instances in the last ten years or they actually pivoted like that. But yeah, no,

I thought the way they did it was great. I was a little bit skeptical of the tag team match, me inventing that or just doing the tag team match in general, for the exact reason that you mentioned that. I thought Rock might get hurt or someone could get hur Really, anyone could get hurt. It's very dumb to risk Roman getting hurt or Cody getting hurt, and then the Night two main event is just a disaster and it doesn't happen. You have to pivot or whatever. So I thought it was cool.

But we got Rock in the ring, and maybe it was gonna be success no matter what. But getting Rock in the ring was cool. And as someone who's been I've only been watching I say, six only sixteen years, but there's a lot of other people I'm sure you guys included, that have been watching far longer, twenty twenty five years, whatever it might be. I'd never seen the Rock in person before, and we got a lot of the Rock this week and it was awesome. Yeah, so it just fantastic.

His entrance was pretty badass, dude, Oh my god, the entrance was amazing. I thought that was probably the second best behind Romans on Night two. I mean my jaw was like on the floor. For Romans, I'm like, holy shit, like this is if you're a Marvel guy like Thanos level stuff, like endgame level shit. You know, yeah, just

sick. But yeah, no, that his entrance was great. He looked really good again to your point, Austin, as far as like, we haven't seen him in the ring all that obviously in the last decade, so I was worried, like how good is he gonna look? And a tag team match you're kind of limited to. But the lack of rules, I mean I think benefited them or no not, It wasn't. No, there was a standard tag team match, but they did use some stuff like the belt and shit like that. Yeah, he told the ref he was like,

you're not calling, so they basically made it a match. Yeah, he was like, yeah, if you count, you're fucking fired or something like that. That got a big bop out of me. That was great, But no, I thought he looked really good. I enjoyed the match. It was better than I thought it would be set up what he needed to for Night too. Rock pinning Cody was perfect because now you have Rock and Cody to kind of build off of for the future. And Rock did

not turn on Roman as far as like helping Cody win. That was one of my worries, like, oh, they're in cahoots. I mean, I think it was pretty evident based off that blood angle a couple of weeks ago in Chicago that's not the case. So I'm glad they didn't do that. That would have been pretty silly to me. But no, I thought the way they did it was great. Match was fun, and it set

up a perfect main event for Night too. Yeah. The Seeds with the Roman spear, you know when they can it's a very subtle, yeah, very subtle kind of hints at it. I hope they do a slow burned towards that, like you right, But they would have blew it off like that quickly. It would have been a little odd. So just to let our listeners know, we were sitting by Graham night one, so we were

there and that together, watching that and all whatnot. But night two we ended up in different areas of the press box, so we didn't really see any of your reactions tonight too. Obviously the main event was incredible. Ever, it's been rave reviews all around. But I mean, just you know, when that gong hit for the Undertaker, were you marking out like we were over over on the right side, dude. Yes, that's the best

part about it too. Like, just to answer that question as far as because I think you said this was was this your first show for both of you guys in the press box you mentioned that earlier. Yeah, yeah, it was okay. Yeah, So like people go into it and they're wondering like, oh, how do we we? I mean, it's different than listen. It's not any other score. It's just not so like people always wonder like, oh, is it quote unquote professional to like act a certain

way? I mean unless you're like, I don't know, I don't know what the line would be. But if you're cheering and stuff and standing up and clapping or going nut to that sort of shit, they do not care. I promise that they do not care. That being the PR, the people that work there, the PR people, whatever, they don't give a shit because there are a lot of the more fans too, so just to kind of put that out there is for people that are unaware. But no,

yeah, we didn't sit next to each other on night two. I was bump because you guys were great to sit next to one night one to kind of share reactions and collaborate and this is what they're going to do and whatever. We had to get on fast. It was me. I was marking out. We had to get up there fast. I know, man,

we were thinking the same thing at night two. We were like, man, we got to get there early and get a good seat, and then we ended up being like third row, which was fine, but I'm like, yeah, it was a massive press box, but there were just so many people that was crazy. But yeah, man, it was cool Night two especially, it was a lot of mark on moments. The Taker

one was cool, obviously. I feel like the only thing, the only minor nitpick is you probably you guys could probably imagine that I had with the match stone cold being in there, what had just been perfect. I mean, hearing that glass shatter instead of Taker would have been perfect. I don't know if they couldn't get him, didn't want to do it. I don't

know, but Taker was already there. There were rumors of him doing something anyway a couple weeks ago, so it wasn't like completely out of the ordinary. It wasn't like it was, you know, no disrespect, but like Ken shamrock coming out or doing something something you know, completely random. I

don't know, like rockets are. Taker is a massive star. So people popped very cool, limited exactly what it needed to be seeing it coming out, we all expected it, but it was still sweet the storytelling aspect, they just tied everything together so perfectly. Even the shield thing was random, but like the shield cheer shot was perfect. They told the story there too.

It really does feel like we're in a new era in stuff that we've been paying attention for paying attention to for a decade actually gets paid off and isn't you know, ignored or accidentally paid off, which is nice. I feel like the vibes of Night two were just so much higher. It probably had a lot to do with the weather, you know, even when we were just like kind of sitting in the parking lot before the event, a lot of people out tailgating and like getting in the field a bit. Whereas

the first night for people watching it home. I know, I saw a lot of it on Twitter where they're like they keep mentioning the weather like it was like it's like fifty two, it can't be that cold. I'm telling you. It was the coldest fifty two that fifth can be. That was a strong wind chill, ye like, and the night one in the press box, there's windows, right, but a lot of the windows were kept shut because it was getting really cold up there. So the sound kind of

a little off. On night one, it didn't like feel like you were really in it. But then night two, the weather's great. Windows are open. So you said you sat in the third row in the press box, but did you still kind of feel like you were more like immersed than it at night two? Absolutely? No, I'm glad you brought that up because we did have the window in front of us open this time compared to night one, which, like you said, understandable that it would be closed

considering how cold it was. And we were lucky like looking down and everyone else so to speak, like, oh there's they're so cold like whatever, and we're we're in the press box too. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, nobody was cool. I mean I think at night two. Having the window open. That's the big thing too. Another thing that they've noticed from Mania and Mania how different these press boxes are because some of them are wide open, some of them are part of the stadium where they're not closed off

at all. Some of them are a literal box as they usually are, and you don't have that audience interaction, and that's kind of a big part of it. Like I want to feel like I'm there while also having access to my laptop and stuff like that, So I feel like that's the sweet

spot. Some arenas and buildings have that some of them don't. And we had that with Mania on night too, where it was a box, but they open up the windows and we kind of had the crowd interaction and involvement and the energy and it kind of felt like you were a part of it. Like there were people literally sitting like not in front of me, but like if you were in the first row, there were people sitting right like probably a couple feet in front of you. Like you could probably hand high

five of them if you wanted to, which was cool. They were right there. So yeah, no, that was awesome. I always love an atmosphere where you can kind of be a part of the crowd and not feel like you're closed off from everyone else and you can enjoy it with the rest of the crowd in there too. Yeah, it was. It was awesome.

And shout out to the people in the press box work. And I want to give a big shout out to the people that's made this happen, guys like Chuck John, even our local marketing people that help us out with interviews, Chelsea Steph and they probably don't even like their names to be shout out here, but I always have to, always have to do that, just because they're super cool and we're super thankful for everything that they've done.

And this is just a couple of months ago where we were even afraid and didn't even know how to approach them to ask about WrestleMania. We didn't think that we were that over. But yeah, you know, these people seem and we work in the radio business. We know what it's like to hook people up. We're more inclined to hook somebody up with tickets that looks like they actually want to be there and have a good time, and I'm pretty sure it's the same way with them. I mean, they had cool catering

up there. They had the they had the Philly Cheese steaks the first night, then kind of get it Western the second night, which was the the pull pork and pulled chicken. I mean, listen, this is I got this from a lot of that. So what was some of your favorite foods up there? And I love the canolis. I'm sad that they only brought those out for one night. So what was what was the hospitality like for

you up there? Great question With the food. I'm a big food guy, so yeah, that's always my favorite part as far as going to these shows. I'm like, I wonder what they're gonna have for food because some of it, like some of the because they've been to some of the other shows like Summer Slam and Rumble and stuff like that, so there's some of the catering kind of like someone asked me, like, oh, how does this compare to last year the year before? I said, I don't really

remember because it kind of blends together. Although I do try sometimes, especially with Mania, I'll try to take a picture of the plate of food that I have with the view that we have, so I always have that to remember it by. But it was great like you said, we were going into it, and I think alexis my girlfriend who was also there. She sat next to you, right right next to you, guys. Yeah,

no, no, she loved talking to you guys. She said to me going in, She's like, you don't think they would have like Philly cheese steak there, do you? And she doesn't eat that sort of stuff, but she was just curious. And I'm like, nah, like, not not to use a wrestling term, but like that sounds like two gimmicky because that's what they're known for. Like I doubt they would actually do that,

you know what I mean? And they did, and it was good, Like I heard people saying after, we'd like, oh, that's not like real Philly cheese steak. But I mean I'm not from Philly, so I don't really give a ship. Yeah, it was good. I enjoyed it, and I didn't. I'm not a canola guy, so I did not have the canoe. But I did have some of the cookies they had on I think night too. Yeah. I have a Yeah, I'm not a big desserts guy, but if I see a cookie and it says freshly baked,

I'm all there. Yeah, right, No, that was great. And they had like I don't know, pudding or something and that whatever it was. I they cheesecake, I think, and that was good too. So yeah, no, it was great. They always that's honestly one of my favorite parts. In addition is meeting new people. It's probably two. The show itself honestly might be dead last be perfectly, it might be number one. But no, that was that was great. They always do it

really really well. Yeah. The funny story about the Philly cheese steaks, Me and Austin were obviously, you know, we're in Philly winning Rome type deal, got to get the Philly cheese steaks. So after we hit up WWE World on Saturday, we had like some time to spare between going to the stadium. We're like, all right, let's try to find a Philly cheese steak. Ended up at this little corner shop. It was like brand new. It's called Shay's Shout Out Shaes. Anybody in the phil checks out,

uh, And it actually ended up being like really good. Again, I've never had an authentic Philly cheese steak, so maybe, but to me, I was like, damn, this is fire. But then we end up going to the show and it's like they have Philly here, So we doubled up on night one for sure. I know. Yeah, so we've talked about, you know, the two main events a little bit other than other than those, you know, what were some of your favorite kind of

moments and matches from from both nights. Yeah, the whole show I thought was really good. Night two was definitely better than Night one. Night one was good, but like you guys were saying, I think the cold had something to do with the lack of crowd energy. That was part of it. Night one was good. I think the opening and closing matches for both nights were like the best parts. I mean, you want to open strong and close strong, so that makes sense. Becky and Rio was great.

The tag match mad event night one was great. The stuff in between was solid. Nothing was really like overly special. I enjoyed the ladder match. The women's sixth tag was exactly what it needed to be. Other tag team match with Ray Androtte and the Legato or you know, Dominic whatever was good. That was fine. So it was it was a good night that was That was a pretty good show I thought was better that I thought, which

is funny because Night one has always been better of Mania. Like you go back for the past four or five years, I would say Night one has always been stronger. Even the COVID one I thought was stronger. But Night two I thought was better this year. I thought every match was good to great, even the six man Chicago Street Fight. I mean that was kind of like a filler match, but that even that was fun for what it

was. They had Bubba Ray Dudley up there, which was cool. AJ Knight had a really good match, the Triple three US thought the match was really good. The World Heavyweight title stuff, everything they did there was great. The execution and that less of a match and more of a moment, but that was awesome. Best match to me gotta be hands down Cody Roman.

I mean I think they might go down is. I'm gonna rewatch it in its entirety later when I get some time, but that still is just the peak storytelling of pro wrestling, So that would be number one for me. Number two might be the tag match Aria and Becky, because I thought that was great, and like I said, the whole execution of the Night two opening with the World Heavyweight title stuff was great, So a lot of

good stuff. Really nothing that was like man and that sucked. I mean a night one actually, I will say probably the weakest match Jay and Jimmy. I just did not think that I was disappointing matches. It's just like it's I had a feeling that it would sort of go down like that. Yeah, yeah, it was good. I rewatched the main event yesterday on Peacock and I gotta say it, it might even be better watching it on

TV than I mean being in person. Was incredible, right, I think though you see the production of all of it in the common the commentary had so much right. So once you watch it back on on the network, I think you're gonna feel just as like good about it being a you know, top three, if not the best main event in wrestling. His three like it. It really is that good. And when I think back to like great WrestleMania matches, right, a lot of them weren't main events,

you know what I'm saying. Like Undertaker Shawn Michaels is probably the most renowned WrestleMania match wasn't the main event. I would say probably Austin and Rock at seventeen is usually the Knson is number one, Right, So like, let's compare those two for a second, right, Like, how do you think again this might be you know, yeah, recency bias, reaction are yeah, but how do you feel those two compare there? Yeah, that's a

good question. I mean, that's that's something that we were talking about coming out of the show and the following day and the days since then. Man, it's tough to say, because again we're sitting here only a couple of days removes we would probably have to give it. I don't know, a year or something like that, but I honestly think I could tell you in my opinion, it is the best WrestleMania main event of all time. I don't know, I just feel like, and I don't think that's an egregious

opinion either, because I would agree. I think the other ones in that conversation that come to mind are what you just said, Austin Stone, Golden Rock from seventeen. I'd probably put the thirty main event on there, with the Yesselmania, Brian winning. I don't know in what order, but that would be on there. Even Brock and Roman from thirty one was also excellent.

And then what was the other match you just mentioned Billy. You mentioned Austin Rock, and I think I take and saw Michaels taking saw but twenty six they made event. Yeah that's what I was thinking. I mean Taker and Sean because you mentioned that. Yeah, so that would also be up there for me. I think I've said that was the best to me, the best wrestlemane to me an event, because I think that was a better match. Like, I don't know, Austin and Rock is incredible, but

they've I don't know, just I don't know. That match was great, but I think this might be better if you If you say that was one, that's totally fine. I think this might be, especially with it being the culmination, which is what wrestlemane has always kind of been about. Austin and Rock was was great, but it wasn't really the culmination and the events thing with Stone Cold, a lot of people's kind of are still sour on all these years later. Taker and Sean was fantastic, but not as good

as the first match, and then the other matches I mentioned. I think with the thirty triple threat main event, this was better, and I think with Brock and Roman this was again also better. So yeah, I don't know, We'll see how it ages in time, but I think this might be the number one, and then we could we could say that we were there for too. That's the best part about it. Yeah, it's definitely

that's That's also what kind of gives at the edge for me. And when you talk about wrestle, it's all about mania moment, things that we're gonna remember for for forever. You're always going to remember those comebacks, are always going to remember that more or less. And then I feel like the great match itself is overshadowed by all the Shenanigans which happened to be fantastic because Cody and Roman. People don't give Roman a lot of credit, you know,

too much credit for actually working matches. He's more than just a couple moves, and he would him Him and Cody were delivering. Those two are both pro wrestlers to the core, and they delivered one hell of a match. Well, before we get you out of here, let's go ahead and talk

about that. You had Roman reigns. One of the most historic WWE Championship runs ever just fell what two weeks short of Hulk Cogan's run at one thy three hundred and sixteen days, one of the most dominant championship runs we've ever seen. Some people say Roman carried the company the last couple of years, and even before Rock, I'll even agree Roman kind of made it cool again. The bloodline was pretty cool. I mean, look, we the ones, you know, they found they finally found a fit for him. He

finally ran with it. Rock came in exacerbated a little bit more. So why don't you talk about like the run ending the Thanos like run and talk about Cody being the guy and what's going forward? What do you what are you excited to see out of this new era with Cody Rhods leading. Yeah. I mean I've been one of the biggest complainers about as far as Cody should have won last year, and I think you can still say that. But I don't know. I think that loss may have made this one mean

more. I mean, Cody, I mean, it went viral on Twitter yesterday, but I think this was the Star Wars moment where it was like Empire strikes back last year. Yes, return of the Return of the Jedi. I get the titles next up some time. Return of the Jedi this year with Cody Roads winning, so definitely I would probably say that. But as far as Roman's run, it was all about for years for me, they have to stick the landing. Like the length of it is great,

it's really been an incredible run. And I'll get to that in a second, but you know, they really got to stick the landing. It's all great, but if you don't, if you mess up the ending and they give it to someone who doesn't really need it, or it's not a great match and it's just underwhelming or whatever, or they wait too long, then I don't know. But like the way that they executed it I thought was perfect. You could say that he doesn't show up, but often enough doesn't

really wrestle. I get all of that. I wasn't really too keen on that either. It did hurt a lot of other people and SmackDown and stuff like that for a while, but when he did show up, it was a big deal and it was mussy TV honestly. I mean, again, there's a whole other podcast show that he could do about this. As far as is it the best title run of all time? Again, to me personally, I think it is because if it's not, my question to those people are then what is because it's like, oh, it might be up

there, but like, what's number one? I honestly can't think of another run that I either enjoyed overall more than this, had more amazing matches over a greater length of time than this, and honestly the storytelling as well, with what they did from the beginning to the end, and so many great story arcs and people. Sam E'sing got over from it big time, Jay Lusso got over from a big time, so many other people like even Brock got a massive babyface run out of it from their matches, and even their

last match was amazing and summer some two years ago. So I think it's the greatest title a run of all time. And I think they pulled it off or paid it off in perfect fashion, not waiting until Polk Keepsie House show in like two weeks or something like that. And and that would have been stupid, like for him to become the longest raining, he would have had to hold it for another five years, which would have been stupid. So, at least to me, I thought they nailed it. I thought

they nailed it perfectly. And he deserves his props as well. I acknowledge the tribal chief. Throw one, that's right, put it up. Yeah, I hope you did at the press conference night Welle, and otherwise he would have got kicked out of there. I know that that was funny. I actually I actually didn't throw out the one, but it was the reason that woman that people everyone seephen Wwe wrote in like their description of the video,

Oh a reporter get tossed out. It was one of the super fans that they bring in as part of like if you pay a certain amount of money, you could sit ringside all this other ship. But yeah, it

wasn't. It wasn't a journalist or reporter someone asked the question. It was someone that was just standing there for the people that, oh, there's a joke, Like, I mean, it was first of all, it was real, and second of all it was it was a I mean, we're all fans, but like it was someone that was not supposed to be asking questions and and she just laughed. I thought that was funny. But yeah, that was hilarious. We were watching the press box like, oh my

just dying laugh. It was so awkward. The camera guys like what are we doing here? Right? Yeah? I can imagine you could cut the tension with the knife in there. Seriously, it was so awkward to Yeah. Yeah, well this has been awesome man. We again, we appreciate you taking the time. And everybody that's listening probably is already aware of you. They're probably listening because of you right now, but always love to give you the opportunity to, you know, plug anything you got shout at your

socials and all that stuff. Yeah, no, I appreciate you guys. Like I said, I appreciate the support. Thanks so much for having me on. I'm glad were able to do this after only just meeting a couple of days ago face to face, which has been awesome. And hopefully we'll definitely speak and uh, I'll see you guys again in other shows. And like you said, the next time I'm in h Louisville, right, that's

right, Louisville, Yeah, Louisville, Louisville. Okay, I gotta I don't want to be a pass all right, thank you for the first time or next time, there's no there's you'll get it. The first time, I would say next time I'm in that area, but I've never actually been there before. But next time I'm there. I'll definitely hit you guys up,

but yeah, you know you can check me out. I'm on the Twitter machine everywhere to seat there at wrestle Rant, wrestle rant dot com, Bleacher Report YouTube, same thing, find the interviews, other reviews content. I'll be backed up for another month coming out of media because there's just so much shit going on. But you know, that's just the way it works. But you know it's worth it for for weekends like that. It's it's always awesome. So it's great to connect with new people and it's great to

meet you guys. And again, like I said, hopefully we can cross that again down the road. Absolutely. Well. That is WrestleMania forty. You can find all of our content that we took from from the events on our socials as always at Babyfaces Pod, the Ig, the TikTok. We got one TikTok right now that is at one hundred and ten thousand views. Graham, Holy shit, it's crazy. What is it? It's just the

simplest video you could ever think of. Austin took a video of like when the ring crew was breaking stuff down at the end Amania and it was like, have you ever wondered how long it takes to break down the ring, So it was just that and then the next shot is the ring is going and took about thirty minutes. It has one hundred thousand views. Wow, I listen sometimes it's I'm not a TikTok guy, but I think it's the simplest stuff sometimes that works the best, and people want to know how stuff

works. And I think we have that privilege of like we're in you're in the press box. You can come see the behind the scenes of certain things. So I think that's that's pretty fucking cool. That's awesome. Yeah, well it's been a lot of fun. Line, Yeah, for sure. For sure. It was followed on on on the TikTok Austin's killing it over there. Yeah, this has been fun. Man. We'll talk soon and we'll talk to you guys next time right here on the baby Face Podcast.
