This is Austin Theory and you're listening to the baby Faces Podcast only on iHeartRadio. Lin w do right for the Wall, and you are listening to the baby Faces on iHeart Radio. What's going on, y'all is WWE Superstar Koche Kid's gonna You're looking into the baby Faces on iHeart Radio. Baby guys, you hear that music that means we are back. You're back in the ring

with the baby Faces podcast only on iHeartRadio, the free iHeartRadio app. Billy, I don't know if you notice it, but iHeartRadio changer slogan recently, so it's now iHeartRadio Free. Never sounded so good. And that's how you can get on and check us out as a free iHeartRadio app. Were also brought to you by ninety seven to five w AMZ, Kentucky, Anda's number one for a new country. And you know how we get down here in the baby Faces. We are some hardcore wrestling fans and we just love to

kind of talk about wrestling. And of course, ever since the football season's dying down, Billy and I are kind of back a little bit and we're gonna, you know, kind of paying attention more to wrestling and just kind of focusing on WrestleMania season. We are fresh off of WWE Raw last night. We've been promoting ww wrestlers last couple of weeks, from Our Truth to Chad Gable, even Kofe Kingston a couple of weeks before that, of course,

all getting ready for WWE Raw in Lexington last night. It was a fun show and we got to sit with a couple of celebrities ourselves I'm talking about, not the one right there in the middle. I know you guys got to like you guys love to call Billy one of the special guests, right because there's been a lot of times where I've had to do a couple episodes alone because Billy's over there yelling at teenage kids to make tackles at More high school. So it's not him, it's our guy, Cal, hero,

our pal. Cal. I think you are our most reoccurring guest officially on the show, this being your third time, and you have now made it. You were there at Monday Night Raw yesterday obviously had better seats than us, you know, one to row right in front of us. So, man, have you been man? How was Raw? What's been going on man, Dude, I've been absolutely fantastic. Thank you for having me first of all. And Dude, Raw last night in Lexington unreal. Yeah.

I used to go to RAW all the time as a kid. Dad would take me, and I don't know, maybe it's just because now I've been wrestling longer. Dude, that crowd had some sort of energy that I have not felt ever. I mean, especially when Cody Rhads came out, like, dude, yeah, I mean, that's that's gonna be pretty exciting for you as as a wrestler that has aspirations to get to stages like that.

I would imagine right and seeing that firsthand, like oh my gosh, I came and imagine being in your position, like I could be out there one day. I could be Cody Rhodes taking all my clothes off and thrown it into the audience as they're going freaking nuts. Man, Like, you know, what is that like as a wrestler to know that that could possibly be in the car for you one day. It's the most motivating thing you can have because it's like you're the prize, You're you're just a barrier away.

And man, just seeing me as larger than life personas being Cody Rhoads, Seth Rollins, l A. Knight. Like the list goes on and on it w E but like just the craft is so perfected and so well executed. Like that's what we dream of, you know, just being that star that can go out there and just tear it up every single time with the fans, you know, there, the cheers, the booze, like they are just they are so good and being in the crowd last night watching

I was like, this is it. This is the dream, this is my dream, and I cannot wait to step in that ring. Well, hey, just don't forget about your buddies Billy and Austin when you go big time. Never never og babyfaces guy right here, like you said, most recurring guests. So again, just you know, don't forget about your boys, Billy and Austin when when again you're Cody Roads in the ring taking your shoes off and your and your pants off and throw it to Cal was there

when we had thirty, when we had thirty followers. He's gonna be there when we have forty five. Okay, all the way, Well, that's one thing that we wanted to talk about, is I just couldnot get over with Raw last night as being so damn like in terms of they planned a lot of stories, it seems like, whether through promo segments with Becky Lynch and then obviously you had the fire promo segment with Seth and Cody last night.

And I think that's just got to speak to how much bigger, more popular wrestling's gotten back into Kentucky. I mean, we've all known that this is one of the more popular states in wrestling. Obviously with obw and and its roots here, you think that you can attribute some of the coming back

of wrestling to sort of obw And. I guess like the Netflix series this past year, and that's gotta have done something because I mean, even in previous in wrestlings in Louisville, the crowd isn't that hot, but did this year in twenty twenty four, it's off to a good start. I think it's just the perfect timing of everything because WWUE has spiked so much just in the last year that like, like I remember being a little kid and like

all my friends had the wrestling toys. We all played Robbers to smack down. Yeah, it's like I still have the toys. I collect them up there. I see I still got mine. Yes, And I think with Wrestlers Netflix, I think it helped bring it up to you know, not wrestling fans, like normal people that don't watch Monday Night Raw every week or Friday Night SmackDown every week. Like it's that mom and pop family kind of

thing. You know, it's the uh people you see a Walmart. Yeah, and I think it brought more eyes to wrestling, and it was behind the scenes, so it's like you're not just seeing the larger than life character, you're able to relate. Yeah. So it's like, obviously Wrestlers is complete helped us at ov w and UH with with the rise of that, Like last night, you know we were there with Al Al Snow. Yes he was, but he was like, oh my gosh, we watched Wrestlers.

We loved Al was the big man in the room yesterday. Man, I think I forget where you guys went. He was getting pulled over. Hey, I love you. Hey, I mean you had your fans too, but I mean Al Snow freaking Al Snow. It's Al snow Man, and it was it was awesome to see because like you know, Al's attitude era he's e c W, so like, dude, there's little kids that weren't even born when he was on TV and they were like, oh my gosh, it's Al Snow and that was so cool to see. It was

cool seeing the guys like like Cody and Al had a cool moment. Yeah the night. Yeah, we saw that when Al's hits and seeing his kid He's gonna main event in WrestleMania against Rains and the Rock is involved. How awesome is that? Yeah, it really struck me last night just seeing all the Cody stuff. I remember back in when I first started watching wrestling, was in like two thousand and eight, and that's when he was first first coming on the scene. He was in like a tag team with hardcore hardcore

Holly. I didn't think much about him, like, you know, he had he had a good look, he was good in the ring. But it's like the fact that that guy right there ends up being the face of the entire company, you know, and just people going nuts for him, like little girls crying over getting a picture with him, Like that's just crazy

to see that. It really is like, and that that's got to be again motivation for for you because here you are and little ov w Right and and you're learning the ropes, and you're you're getting your character and all that together, and and you know one day that that could be you out there, right man, I really do hope. I believe I can be seeing all the little kids with their with their weight belts and their Cody Road shirts. Hopefully down the road those will be fanny packs. Yes, there you

go. Love it, love it. Got to push merch, of course I got. I got one complaint with the Wrestlers documentary though they did not feature all pal Cal enough in the documentary. What was up with that? We can't even need more screen time for our boy cal Well. So I shoulder surgery, gosh, four months prior to them starting filming, So for a good third of filming I was in Wisconsin doing rehab and recovery. So when I got there, finally they didn't know I was a wrestler because I

wasn't clear to wrestle. I just sit in gorilla. I was thirty pounds smaller, and I just sit there without and I was quiet because you know, I was trying to learn, Like you know, I had the opportunity to sit there and watch him produce the show. So I'm gonna shut my mouth because you guys saw that he talks to a locker when he gets fed up putting the show on. And time came in like towards the back end,

like they really started to feature me more. But there was already so much being told throughout, like the story with Cash, you know, Haley's story, and there were other stories that need to be told, and all I can do is just cross my fingers for a season two. That's right, Yes, I'll make sure that I'm there the entire time. I actually I thought I would have a chance to make it on the documentary for a little, just a little like cameo in the back because I was at the

KSR golf scramble. I was working it because obviously iHeart event and whatnot, and I knew that the Netflix people were around. I was trying to kind of sneak in little camera shots where I could, But unfortunately, as you should, I mean, five minutes of fame, bro, I'll take anything I can get, you know, a couple of part because that aren't even there at the company at the station anymore. The ones that ended up making it on IMS behalf Yeah, of course, yeah, I got I gotta

say though, and Billy just kind of mentioned it. I guess you just touched up on it. And by the time you're kind of able to like rehab and we already kind of know wrestling fans already kind of know the I guess maybe not you, just because as you've kind of you've been in the business long enough. But I guess it's sort of a thing where all wrestlers, whenever they get injured, it's sort of like a paranoia thing of just going back out there and are they gonna remember me? Am I going to

get the same reaction? So I mean, especially when a company is on the rise and they're getting this Netflix, you got cameras around, and you kind of know whenever this thing comes out, you guys are going to get an extra boost. And just knowing that you're kind of sidelined on that and you just kind of have to sit and watch, like I'll do that.

Does that take like more of a mental on you or do you just kind of know like my time's coming, my time's coming, or how do you get the balance set during during a time like that when you kind of know things are about to kind of get big there around your company, you know, like I knew the ball was rolling, especially with the Netflix thing, and I didn't even know it, but I was terrified. I was afraid

I was gonna get hurt again. So I think part of the harm of you know, why I wasn't featured as much as I really wasn't giving one hundred and ten percent. There was one night where Al had pulled me aside and we had that you know, student coach moment where he told me he was like, hey, you're not giving a hundred percent. I know why. You know, You're you're scared to get hurt again. And I'm like, no, no, I'm not. You know, I'm in the ring. I'm going to training like and I was like, well, are you

the first one in? And are you the last one out? Yeah? Of course I really wasn't. And it was because I was trying to take the shortcuts, you know, I was trying to protect myself without even realizing it ended up you know, cost me a very very unique, once in a lifetime opportunity. And I think that's that was the moment when they wrapped up and they stopped filming, when I was like, well, Damn it's over. And I wasn't given one hundred and ten percent. And that's all

because of a shoulder surgery. You know, something that you know you just bounce back from. But man mentally, without even realizing it completely messed with my head. I lost all my confidence, imagine, and it just it took that talk without just to you know, put me in check, make sure that was going all the way. And it's completely changed everything ever since then. Well, yeah, exactly, that's what I was going to get into. You've obviously righted the ship since then because you have been on a

roll. I mean, I correct me if I'm wrong. I think I read this right. The first ever Rush Division champion and Kentucky heavyweight Champion, Cal Hero, And how old it remind us? How old you are? Again, Cal, I'm twenty one years old. I'm twenty one years old. He can barely even see drink alcohol. Yet this man is the first Rush Division in Kentucky heavyweight champion. First of all, congratulations. Secondly, you know, what what is that do to have that, to have that

honor one of those titles? Man, Like, it really hit the moment the bell rang, you know, at the end of the match, and you know, I'm looking at both titles. I'm like, wow, this is this is a moment I will not be able to relive, Like this is the first ever time this has ever been done. I got to do it so cool And then you know you're selling the moment in the peripheral. You see a plaid shirt and you're like, holy crap, and Mick Foley.

So it was such a cool moment, man, And now it just means that I got to give one hundred and fifty percent, not one hundred and ten anymore. You know, it's there's a lot more weight on the shoulders and I have to be a leader. Yeah. Speaking of Mick Foley, I mean everyone knows him being the addition to kind of help talent development on the men's side, and of course Mickey James coming over and kind of helping out with OVW. Got all of these what we like to call old

heads coming over and like to give everyone a little bit of byce. I don't want to single you out, though, but have you had any good talks is Mick, has Mike given you any strict words of advice of just kind of like keep it going or just what kind of things. Is it either him or Mickey James kind of been able to tell you just you are definitely let the young bright star of OBW. So it kind of seems like guys like that and gals like that kind of like to hitch their wagon to

a guy like you. What kind of advice have they given you? It just told me, you know, the normal, keep your head on straight, just keep doing what you're doing. And they just say to be smart. You know, every time you go out there there's a risk of injury. You know, it could be career ending, So just be smart when you're out there, tear the house down and give the people what they want. That's the biggest thing they've said. And because that's the most important part.

You know, we could wrestle out there and do whatever, but the fans aren't happy. It's it's pointless, that's right. Well, nck Foley, you know obviously a WWE legend and this is the most exciting time for WWE with the road to wrestle media and whatnot. You know, we talked about Cody Roads earlier. You mentioned the rock Let's get cal heroes. Thoughts on the whole controversy with with how that kind of built right that we want

Cody movements and how this has all come together. Man. I was so crushed originally when when Rock came out and you know, Cody pretty much gave his match away. And at the same time, I was excited because my favorite match of all time is Rock Hogan. I won't be seeing Hogan wrestle anytime soon, and that's a bucketless guy, but there is the chance to see the Rock. Sure. I was like, holy call, like this is this is the moment where I get to, you know, see my

bucket liss match. And then I was like, well, damn, I'm invested in this coach. Yeah. Sure, this is two years building to the you know, that one moment against Roman and it's gone. And then you know, your mind starts thinking and you're like, well, you know, you try to come up with ways work at work. Everyone's doing a

cow and uh. As soon as that first I believe it was a raw where where the we want Cody chant happened the first time, I was like, oh wow, yeah, this might make them have to have Cody and Roman and uh that press conference. That press conference changed everything. That was something else. I mean, that was the Rock that it was awesome, but yet you're like, that's your boy Cody kind of thing and you just don't know it. You don't know is it a triple threat, is it

a tag man, is it a singles? You know, you don't know. And I think that's the exciting part, especially it being the you know, the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania, Like we get to go to that having no idea what the outcome is going to be. Yeah, yeah, I mean I feel like a lot of people are in the same boat where you know, it's Rock Roman the Mansion. We've all been wanting

to see. That's the big money match that's out there. But then you know, you got this code e fact, like why why do you have Cody win the Rumble if you were gonna go Rock versus Roman and that direction? Because people got so invested back into the Cody story, right, So we we've gone back and forth on this podcast, you know, ever since that happened. And for us, it was like, if you're gonna do Rock Versus Roman, it's got to have that atmosphere that Rogan Rock Versus Hogan

eighteen atmosphere. So it wasn't gonna get that this year clearly with how it was heading with the whole Cody thing. So I think at the end in the you know, they've gotten it right here with with going with Roman versus Cody. I think me and me and Billy have talked about it at nausea. I mean, especially me, because I've been I've been I've been seeing

the forest through the trees with the Roman and Rock for years. I've been trying to talk it into existence, and especially last year with Roman with the WrestleMania go in Hollywood, and I had a ticket to go there, and I thought that that was gonna be it. I thought that was gonna be it. I was. I was just more or less, I understand Cody Store, I like I like Cody Store. I don't know if you I don't know if you heard about I was giving him the business last night.

I was calling him a JEBBRONI I was just letting him know because we we still want the I love the baby face and I love I really do like what Cody Rhodes is doing it like it. Billy is mentioned. He's just such a likable dude. He's just like you're all American, Like he's a family dude, and like, you want to see him succeed and you want to see him finish his story, but I also want to see Roman finish his story. And right now, Roman's got this story where he can go

down as possibly the greatest WWE superstar of all time. And sometimes I just sit and't want to think that has to be continued with that championship, in that reign and beating Hulk Cogan's record, one for the part and beating Hulk Hogan's record, and two just because I think WWE would love to have those newer names on the record. So this is kind of what I wanted to ask you with wrestling and being so marred and this is gonna happen. This

is gonna happen. We're now being taken to a ride where we don't necessarily know what's gonna happen, but if we just kind of want to take it back to that just two weeks ago when the Rock came in and the whole we want Cody's movement started and that This is a very long winded way of me getting this to Kyle, But you've been in the business a long time. Your dad a very famous wrestling promoter up in the Northwest, and like, you got you know about this, You've been in the business. What

chance was this all of work? Think this was all the work to start out with? Or do you think that there's been some audibles throughout the audibles throughout through throughout the whole last two weeks. What's your as a person in the business, how do you feel that they've been spinning everything. It's so tough because it feels so real. You know, if it is a work, I think it might be one of the greatest works of all time because

they legit. They started a whole hashtag. Yeah, you know, like people were genuinely upset that their boy Cody was not gonna have his WrestleMania match, and it's the Rock, like the Rock, so it was just it

could be a work, But I really don't think so. I think the fans spoke and I think that uh, Cody has loved so much that it was kind of a force of hand, like, well, we gotta keep him happy, Yeah, And I think Cody kind of alluded to that in his promo on Raw last night, just kind of you know, thanking the fans for stepping up and voicing their opinion and and really kind of forced them to make a change. I really do think he kind of confirmed that.

Uh you know, the fan reaction calls them to call an audible uh with that promo last night. But you know, we've been talking a lot about Cody Rhoads, the rock Roman. Is there anybody else on on the roster in WWE right now that that you look at as a guy to you know, maybe just take some take some stuff from, whether it be in ring or on the mic with their character, whatever it might be. Jay us So for sure watching the audience with their hands up and down. Dude,

how crazy was that they were hit live? So and uh, dude, I'm I'm a big fan of Dominic Mysterio. Yes, he also was talking about him last night. He's like, you know, I love Dominating so good, so good. And he doesn't even have to get in the ring and wrestle, that's the fun thing. He just stays out on that on the outside and he's just like a dick and that's that's that's a great character. That's the greatest job on the planet. Yeah, it can't be bad.

Obviously, his promos and his charisma. I think this might be like one of the best rosters they've ever had. This goes on and on. I mean, you look at Ria Ripley, You've got Becky Lynch Bailey like so good. I think everybody has their own personality too that makes them unique. It's kind of like the attitude there where like the top, bottom and

middle of the card everybody was awesome. Yeah, and it feels like that again, I would think also just because and we've talked about this on the way home driving and we came with the Babyface's friend Cody, who came with us last night market shout out to them friends of the baby Faces that joined. But he mentioned that, you know, this is a testament to how good the roster is now. And you know, I don't I don't.

I don't mean to take shots, but there have been a lot of the times I've been to or I've been to either smackdowns or raws at Lexington or just in the last couple of years anywhere else where. I had the back right behind us where the hard cam is at production. They're still scattered. There was everyone was in a seat in that lower bowl yesterday and you had people taking pictures from the other side everybody was in a seat, and it

is wrestling, especially with WWE, is just hot. And you mentioned me and Billy work in the radio and we do producing as much as you marvel over how like great Like the athletes are in the ring, We marvel over like their live production, dude, Like how we see the guys the fifteen people running out of ring change the mat while someone's cutting the promo, They're changing the ring skirts, they're changing out like a pictures. And there's so

much that goes on to that. It's like phenomenal, Like you think that do you think that any of that kind of intimidates you if you want to when you're ready to make that jump up to the next thing. Just everybody's on their game, not just the wrestlers, but all the producers and directors. Like what's that to even see the non wrestling part of the TV aspect? What's that like to see? I was blown? There were like twelve cameras on the floor last night. Was not Yeah, I've never seen that

many cameras before. Like I know OVW we have two handheld cameras and those are two like floor cams. They had at least eight just out and they're constantly switching always, And I think the cool thing about OVW is that we get the experience of wrestling on TV and having to do live TV, which is like a whole nother animal, and like seeing how well oiled that machine is that is we Honestly, it's exciting more than a making me nervous because,

like you know, they're on top of it. They will not miss a shot, They will get every single moment you want them to see. And it's so cool that, like as a fan and as a wrestler, like to be able to sit in the crowd and watch them produce that show so well oiled. Yeah. Yeah, we always tried it to at least me. I always try to. I'll look behind. Know, we love your producer, guys. I've misbumpd the producers. They can't even hear me

because they have their headsets on the Yeah yeah whatever, mes bumps. I let them know that they're just as big as star as everyone else. Absolutely, yeah, Austin, And I know event production is not the most glamorous at times. And then there's you know, it's selfless. It's selfless,

isn't it, Billy, No, No one cares who the jackasses. It's playing play right right right, and and like you said, cal like that should make you excited because I feel like, you know, all the good camera and production work and even like the announcing and that gets wrestlers over, Like that's it's it's a team at the end of the day, Like, Okay, let's help to get this guy to where he needs to be as a character, as a you know, as a superstar on this TV show.

And what helps with that is great camera work, great production, insurance music, like announcers putting you over and pushing storylines and whatnot. So that has to be an exciting aspect of it. I would imagine very exciting. It's it's that next stage, just that next step up and like that's playing with the dream team like right, and like we said, WWE is on a roll right now, no doubt about it. But OBW has been on

a role themselves ever since the Wrestler's documentary dropped. Actually, I think I just saw on Twitter y'all are selling like basically like season ticket packages now where people can just get a you know, like a recurring pass every week. Like how cool is it to be performing? Because I'd imagine at times, you know, it's a little bit less packed. Back back before wrestlers came out, like it maybe wrestling in front of like fifteen people one night because

not a lot of people come out. But you know, ever since wrestlers came out, what's the environment and atmosphere have been. Like over at Davis Arena, everybody in the locker room has a whole new set of energy. Like when we show up to TVs now, it's like, heck, yeah, we're gonna be sold out tonight. And that is the best feeling you can have because once you have the fans in the door, you can know wrong. You know, obviously besides you know, not performing at one hundred

and fifty percent. But the uh sold out crowds has changed everything for us. Like when I first came to OVW, it was still COVID time, so some shows we didn't have any fans. Yeah, and going from zero fans to sold out Davis Arena for like, I think the record we had was like twenty weeks or something like that, and it was insane. It's been so cool and it's been so we're blessed. We're blessed I've had that opportunity you know, it just was there on the front door, right place,

right time. And I never understood when, like you know, the vets would always be like, oh, you know, it's it was the right place, right time. Like I understand now because of that, you know, because of the show and everyone's motivated, and I think that's the most important thing, because sometimes it's rough when there's fifteen people in the crowd for three weeks, you know, it's it's not easy because that's also how

we make our money. And if there's fifteen people in the crowd, we're not making money, right, And it's we we talked about just to you know, we talked about how with this before, and we just talked about just from just performing in front of nobody, even when you just take it in front from from the COVID side, when there was obviously not a lot of people in there, and then just times are just kind of slowly opening the back doors and then you you have Netflix now, like I mean,

I guess you just I guess you more or less just answered about the moral of the locker room. I guess I guess I more or less kind of want to ask because we also asked ow this last time is has the Netflix? Has there have there been any bad repercussions from the Netflix? Have you been seeing anybody just like, you know, either having to get a big head or anything like that, or just I mean, I guess you just answer. Everyone's kind of in the same page. Yeah, I mean everyone's

on the same page. I think the only thing that has made us nervous is now that there's a lot more eyes on us. So that means people need to have their heads on shore. Yes, yes, because people will be waiting for us to fail. So it definitely everyone's a lot more cautious. Everyone's a lot smarter than they were before. And not that anyone who was, you know, bad or anything like that, but you know, you guys watch Netflix the Wrestler Show. It's definitely brought a competitive side.

But I think that's for the better. Yeah, now everybody wants to be on TV, right, Yeah, I can imagine. So, you know, I'm always enamorag just by when I see this when we go to row last night and I'm right up close with the action and I see how hard these you know, these punches are, how hard these kicks are, how impressive, these these jumps are. Like, I mean, what is that truly like to be able to Like, I can't imagine just an average show

like me who like played high school football works out occasionally. What would it be like for a guy like me to step in a ring and like take a bump or try to try to perform a dropkick or something even as simple as as like a headlock and making it look good? Like, how much truly goes into that? A lot? Like with the academy that OVW has. I believe, it's three month increments of training. There's beginners, intermediate, and advanced, and you're not even in the ropes until the end of

the beginners. So it takes a lot and a lot of people, you know, they drop out because it's not easy. I know the first time I hit the ropes, I had two lines under my laps. I was like, why why is my body heard? Well, it's from hitting the ropes. Yeah, And those aren't ropes. Those are like airplane wires. Yeah, yeah, they are not ropes. I wish they were. And that's what that's wild, Like even like that's a great way to put it.

Just something as simple as like we're just fans watching this, like this happens all the time, running the ropes like you'd imagine just like bouncing off this chair that I'm in right now, And no, it's very painful. Like I don't understand how your body just becomes like accustomed to that, I guess, or is there just like you learn just more like a smoother way to do it. Your body just becomes calloused and uh, Like I remember the first OVW tour we did in the summer. Before that, I was

wrestling maybe once a month. We're wrestling three to four times a week. Dude, only cow. By the time August had hit and we were at the end of the tour, like my body was so exhausted, like no motivation, Like it mentally shut me down because I was like just so beat. And the biggest part that comes with it and you don't think of it, but it's the cardio. Yeah, Like wrestling isn't a hop on the

you know, elliptical and go ten minutes a whole different animals cardio. And I realized that, like at the Nightmare Rumble, I ended up being there for an hour and six minutes. I knew I could go, but man, I had no idea how much my body would hurt. The next day, my chest, you know, breathing was hard, but my neck was freaking shot, you know, from all the bumps, and I lost the day. I lost my entire Sunday because of that. I can only imagine when you're in a rumble like that, we are, I guess, kind

of fresh off the world rumble. And that's one of the more things I want to ask you're you're in that if you're an hour you said so, I mean everybody knows in rumble you have like your spots like that. Are you like, are you just like leaning towards somebody, like, hey, bro, can you go hit somebody else? I just need to take like two seconds. I didn't need like two minutes over here. You just kind of just keep going off the script pretty much like I had no game plan.

I really didn't because I had never experienced it before. And I was just like, my goal tonight is survived. Anybody wants to touch me, I'm going to kick them. Yeah. I mean, that's gotta be an honor to be given that position too, to be the iron Man. But it's kind of like a double edged sword in a way, right, because like, oh well, I'm gonna be in there for an hour, so

I'm gonna get blown up pretty easily. But yeah, that's awesome. I mean, I love like the rumble, you know, even if you don't win the match or so many like ins and outs of it, most eliminations, iron man like, we always love to speculate on that as we head into it. But so OVW again has been on a roll. And if we got people listening right now that I want to come out to a show or want to get involved somehow, what are the big things that are coming

up for you guys right now? Well, we do weekly television at the Davis Arena here in Louisville, Kentucky, every Thursday night from seven to nine. And if you go to the ov Wrestling website ovwrestling dot com, we have just posted more dates for our tour. And it's not just the Kentucky summer too, where we are going all over the country. Like I know there's locations in Wisconsin, Illinois, I believe we'll be in New York at some point, oh, Arkansas, Tennessee. We're gonna be everywhere. That's

awesome. Just stay tuned. And OVW's going national. Absolutely, I have no doubts about it, and we're talking with cal Hero are pal cow OVW young bright superstar Guys, it's not you guys heard him right at the beginning of the episode. He's just turned twenty one years old. I remember when I turned twenty one, like fifteen years ago. We asked our truth this last time that he was on the show WW Superstar Troup. What a hilarious frickin' dude, right, what you talk about a guy that just knows his

role. Amazing dude. But we talked to him. He still has championship aspirations. We talked about our troop with championship aspirations. Let's take it down here to OBW CAW Hero. You collect gold so far, your championship aspirations even get bigger titles. I'm talking about the OVW World Champion one day and even and and WW World Championship. Isn't the only one that comes through.

You now have ties with n WA that that ten pounds of gold can come through and that could be in your possession too, is or what's kind of in your radar going forward with more titles? What are your championship aspirations for twenty twenty four? Well, as of now, I have the OVW Heavyweight Championship and the OVW National Championship left, and my goal is to be that Grand Slam Champion. Yes, hopefully by twenty two and a half fingers crossed.

But man, that NWA World's Heavyweight Championship I think is the coolest title in history just because of its rich history, and I'm definitely leaning towards that. I think it looked pretty good on you. You know what I'm saying. All the people that's held that title and it could just it just fallen on your shoulder, is cal? I think that that would We we started a hashtag are true for world Champ. We need to start CAW hashtag car

cal hero for world champ because that's next. That's next. Yeah. I also got to ask, if you weren't just to break cafe, break the fourth wall, we could go ahead and uh, We'll go ahead and call him out on this, just to see how close you are with al If you were to go out the OL right now and say al ready for a championship match, what do you think he would say to you? But you had enough, dude, I'll tell you what the funniest part of the Wrestlers

documentary was uh certified. Cut the promo on al out of nowhere and then Netflix people were like, what was that about? You fucking fine? Now? Is that? Is that what it's like in the locker room? Just this characters everywhere, dude, complete not a chaos. It is this circus back there, complete circus. I love it. I love it. That's what That's what wrestling is at the end of the day. Just you know, a bunch of bunch of characters, larger than life characters. That's what

it's all about. That's that's what got people in it in the first place. Yes, I rocked my Wrestlemantia six Macho man. That's right, that's right. Well, we plan, we plan. We've been saying it for a long time. We're gonna plan to be at OVW. Now that we have a lot of free time, we'd love to try to do some stuff. And we understand me if there's some access that we can't get, but we love to get back there and just try to interview some people, just

kind of see what the backstage life. I've never been backstage of of ov W. I've been to Davis Arena so many times and I've just in my mark self, I've always kept that sacred like I'm not supposed to be back there, and I've always kind of liked that. But now as I dive into the media content crea, I would just love to go back there and just just peak a little bit. You know, I'm not trying to ruin anyone's character, but I just I just want to see just one small glimpse

of it in real life. So hopefully we get to go have some access like that soon. That, dude, that would be awesome. I mean, we have a whole remodeled locker room, We've got a new big screen tea that's just way. We got pyrone. Now let's go, let's go use it. It's only for the intro. But dude, I feel like I owe you guys a couple of T shirts too, So we you a baby Faces hoodie. So we're gonna start get We're gonna start ordering some within the next couple of weeks. I'll go, I'll go large, all right,

cool, the same size as Billy Sky Skinny guys. The largest. We'll definitely we'll definitely hook you up with the hoodie. And yeah, any any merchant went through our way. We will we will rock that all around town. We'll wear it on every podcast. Brother. Yeah, we we plan on setting something up with ob W here soon. We've been talking with all about it for a while and then we get busy. But we are in WrestleMania season right now. We are full on, like wrestling notes.

So we're gonna get out there for for a show one night and hopefully do some fun content and one. I don't know if you've seen our socials, but Austin has just been freaking killing it on the social Yeah. This guy, his girlfriend works in social media, so you know he's got the got the hook up. She she she's she knows everything about social I'm in Raw yesterday, just trying to direct these guys what to do. I'm gonna take a video of you walking in you do that. They have no clue what

I'm trying to do. I'm trying to catch, like in the moment stuff and it. We're just everywhere. I'm just everywhere. I'm trying to catch I'm taking videos of things I'm never ever gonna watch again. I'm just trying to capture and capture content. We're as as big as you're trying to get We're trying to get just as big too. We want to rise with cal Hero. Yeah, we're gonna do it together. I have one more question, just because a part of I feel like, let me just go ahead.

And I've said this left ten times on the show Mark out today. But another person that's stopped by another person that's very very close with Al Snow. We're talking about hell you talk about training before training was training original tough enough winner. Maven has shown himself and made himself in the OBW locker room, and he's also made himself a really big presence on the internet now with his his old YouTube channel and everything. And he's such a respectful dude in

the business. What's a like meeting maybe? I mean, I can only imagine he's just the same that he is on his YouTube channels. He isn't real like her, respectful and very knowledgeable, same same person, so professional. Like there there was an Al Snow roast that happened a while ago. I saw that he had showed up and dude, just such a class act, such a class act, and it's so cool to be seeing how much

love he's been getting on his YouTube. Like that is blown up, and like, I will watch some of those videos so I can learn something. I love his content. I love it. Yeah, he doesn't put he doesn't put anyone down. It's usually nice. He has respect for the business and he I love how he acknowledges that he only had one drop kick. That it's one thing that he's He mentioned on when he first came to All he said he did that, he did a drop kick in front of al

and he said, Yep, that's your move. I love it. I love it. Well, hey, Cal, we'll definitely uh see you soon. We appreciate you taking the time to night as always, third time, third time arm Baby, recurring guests, baby faces, o G. You can find him on Instagram at the col Hero. We are going to We're gonna get some video of us acting as your managers, as you as you come out of the ring or come out of the entrance ramp. We're gonna be the managers, your hypen man hyping you up and be like all right, baby faces and cal hero tak taking on whoever. We're going out there to beat

up. You know. I love it. That's that's the content right there, Austin the goal, that's the goal, and I just got to go. I need to feel what the ropes of a ring feel like. I need to feel it. Billy just wants to get slammed so bad. I kind of want to be the one to slam them. Yeah, I kind of want to do that. I love it. I love it. Well, count man, I really appreciate you taking the time.
