Hey, this is all Mighty Bobby lastly, and you're listening to the baby Face podcast. Hey, this is Brittle and you're listening to the bros. This is the baby Faces podcast. How's it going on? Wabe super started Accounting Warriors Shavings and you are listening to the one only Baby Fake a Life. Well, Austin, it has been a minute, my friend, um, and we apologize for all the loyal listeners out there, but you are in another episode of the baby Basses podcast with myself, Billy Bricketts. It's
been following me on Twitter at Billy Prickett two. Austin always joining us, of course, are you still ninety three till Sees on Twitter? I know you're I've changed it. I changed it, Yes, yes, I've become I've Guy gets one Weekend Ship. I'm now atm one air on Twitter. It's a little bit easy, easier. A lot of people don't know how to spell steeze. I was tired of it explaining that, so I keep
it simple and keep it something close to radio. There you go, but most importantly, follow us on baby Faces social media at baby You're kind of blessed. Do you have like an easy name to like go with something radio, you know what I'm saying, Like you, a billy can go with a lot of nicknames and and and you just kind of float. There's nothing that goes with Austin. I feel like there's not a lot of austres, not a lot of things that grime. You know, it's like a unique
it's sort of unique. I'm not necessarily sure, but it's you got it easy, my friend. Yeah, Billy just kind of rolls off the tongue a little bit. And I feel like there's a lot of like, um, just like famous like characters in history that were named Billy, Like just such a basic like old school name, like Billy, Billy the kid, the outlaw, that's my my. You put Billy in front of everything, like have they Billy football? Billy basketball? That was something my high school
nickname, Billy football. You still are billy football, You're billing football radio. I'm the original Billy football. I know, barstools sports, Billy football. I'm a big listen. I'm an awl PMT guy all the way. But I was Billy football along before he ever came on the scene over at Cooper High School. Touchdowns, all right, So believe that you can look it up, all right, I got I got a shirt said Billy Football back in like twenty four before Johnny Football too, right, No, it
was yeah, like the same time. That's what made I was like a big Johnny Johnny Benzel guy. It kind of naturally came along because you're during the time, so like and he this this, this other guy just comes along and takes it. The name's already been hoarded out by then, and I think, yeah, you probably attached onto it first, exactly. And we wore me and Johnny Manziel wore the same number number two. UM and definitely definitely a guy that I looked up to. Didn't end up panting out
in the NFL. UM. Nonetheless, this is a wrestling show, uh, you know, contrary to popular belief out there. But Austin, we haven't been on here in a while, so we got a lot of stuff to talk about. UM. First and four most I do want to address. We were supposed to have an episode last week we promoted on social It was set to go as far as we knew from we and that was going to be an interview with Austin theory, which if you are a listener of this show. You know how big a fan we are of Austin Theory.
We were very much looking forward to that interview. Unfortunately it didn't end up working out. For everybody that had an interview schedule with Austin Theory he had to cancel for unknown reasons, not blaming him at all. You know, stuff pops up, and this was planned like over a month ago, so
I was kind of worried something like that would happen. Nonetheless, they did get back in touch with us saying that they're going to set up something for us here in the next few weeks because SmackDown is coming to the Umcenter of course in August, so we will have a we superstar on with us in the near future. That's that's all I can say right now. Apologies for our listeners out there that got excited for the Austin the interview like we did,
and it didn't end up working out. So we were excited a couple of times because they didn't show up at first. Then we got the word that, oh they were talking about possibly Central Time, which is an hour behind us, so there was there was that second chance, and we stood up and waited another fifteen minutes and then it just it just didn't have things
get lost in the hold of media unfortunately. Yeah. Yeah, And like I said, I was worried that would be the case leading up to it, and you know, we fire up the zoom waiting for him for about ten minutes, didn't show up. Yeah, it was the whole thing. So, like at the roulette table, right, all good. Another thing that has happened since we've been away for the past couple of weeks, and I do want to address that too. We had the interview with Italia.
Of course you didn't check that out do that now. It's great at like fifteen minute interview sit down with Italia, she was great. We haven't had like a true just me and Austin, you know, uh, kind of just chopping it up. It's been a while since we talked and hung out. We've been busy, man, that's right, Yeah, we haven't. Yeah, yeah, yeah, well why we've been busy. It's summertime, Austin especially, you know your role with Heart and working for the Bats.
Yeah, like your hat. If anybody is watched on YouTube right now, obviously it picks up a lot during summertime. So just harder to really like, you know, put aside the time and get in here and not trying to make any excuses. I feel like I say this a lot on the podcast, but we are busy. This is something we just do kind of
for fun on the side. But you know, that's why we have the social media so we can still interact with y'all, even or not doing episodes like this, you know, on the regular, but or trying to be better about it, because it is a very exciting time in wrestling. I'd say probably aside from the road to WrestleMania, this is like the road to SummerSlam, you know, is the second most exciting part of the year. And it starts, of course with Money in the Bank this Saturday, which
this is our money in the Bank preview go home show. We're going to look into the matches and give you our predictions as we normally would do. But before that, there are new world titles, both for the men and Women's and WWWEED. So I know, Austin you've had some hot takes about the titles. I'm gonna let you start off with what your thoughts are. Now've had a few weeks to kind of process the look of them. Man,
it has been that long since we've been on Hunt. It seems like probably like a month Agoes when they debuted about like a month Agoes when they debuted the new title, UM, the new world title, a triple h. We went on we stayed on Instagram, and we went on Twitter.
I'm not necessarily a fan of it, um, even still after sitting on it for a couple of weeks after you've seen it around the Waste of Rollins and it's still to me, man, it's it's you know, my take on the on the on the two belts, um, and especially after being so decentinize at the whole last year with Roman having two belts and just kind of feeding into that storyline and making him look almighty, and it just it just fits him a lot better. And he's undisputed, He's he's he's the
he's the undisputed He's undisputed heavyweight Champions. So my take is, why is there another one? I don't like? It looks too much like the World heavy White title with that create a logo just thrown right in the middle of it. It's just it's too mixed up of a jumbled mess for me.
On the wall side of things, But on the SmackDown side, I wasn't necessarily thrilled with the with the new title as well, but it's it's you know, it's It's also one of those things that fits into the character and the storyline of what Roman Reigns doing, me being a Roman Reigns Mark E. Drone over here. I like how I like how it looks on him. I guess the jury is still going to be out to see how it
looks on someone else, but it looks good for him. It fits him, and I still like the idea that they're carrying around the other two titles just as well. It just makes him look all the more dominant and just it just fits him. I don't think it would work with anyone else, So for right now, I've liked I've liked Roman's title a little better, and it looks a little better in the light, especially after seeing it in Lectington a couple of weeks ago and seeing it in person. It does look
a lot better in person. And it's sometimes when TV can come off as weird angles, but it is a good looking belt in person. Yeah, I think Roman's title is really sharp. When they first introduced it. Like you said, the lighting was kind of weird on SmackDown when they first introduced the title, and it kind of got some you know, a lot of people throw in hot takes out there, like yeah, exactly, Yeah, I was right. I had to walk my stuff back. Yeah, yeah,
I know it's it looks pretty good. Um, And I'm a fan of the World Title. I know, I know that you're not. Well. First of all, the Big Gold Belt is one of my favorites, if not my most favorite in history. You have a replica yourself of it. Yeah, and I know it's not exactly that, but to have some sort of semblance of that title back on the scene and wrestling just makes me
feel like warm inside, you know, just like good old nostalgia. And I understand the reason why they had to put the big fat W in the middle of it, because look, as recently as the Nuggets winning the NBA Championship, they send out all these titles to them, right, and they're
holding it up at the parade. And so if if they get their hands on the World title rather than the we title, and you're holding that Big Gold Belt up and there's no like really like branding on it, then you're not really doing yourself any favors by having, you know, a very popular sports team. I just won a championship promoting the brand basically, so that was kind of what, you know, why the titles were, why they
were before this. So that just the big old WS and that was the universal in the w WE Championship. So if you're going to bring back the world title, you can do so, but you want to keep that branding to it to where it's very recognizable to just the general public. So I get it. I obviously prefer the big Gold Belts design much more than this one, but I'm still happy that we have again some sort of semblance of of this title back on the scene. I think it looks pretty good on
Rollins. I think Rollins winning it was the obvious choice to start with. Pretty over with the crowd. Some will say just the theme song is over. I'm not like the biggest seth Rollins guy either. I'd be the first
to admit that. But you know, he's put his time in. He's been one of the most reliable guys over the past couple of years and hasn't really gotten the spotlight, hasn't gotten you know, the world championship programs and the title wins and all that kind of been stuck in like the mid card for times when you know, Roman and Cody and these guys were dominating them
the main events scene. So you know, give it to Rollins as a little hey, thanks for what you've been doing, you know, first champion, kind of solidified guy to get that title over and I think that we'll see some some young guys get their hands on that title over the next couple of years, um so, and that could start as early as this weekend. As far as who could be an upcoming contender for the title based on who wins the Money in the Bank Ladder match, of course, a match
that has made many stars over the last number of years. But before we get into the Money in Banke preview, Austin I was texting before we started the podcast today, I want to introduce a new segments and this will be a much bigger, more prepared segments down the line when we do it. But I just gotta re you, um some of the tweets that we see
on Twitter. I mean, if you're if you're in the IWC, you know what we're talking about, right you scroll across like somebody hyping up you know, I don't know, like, uh, I actually saw a video of of Tough Enough back, you know if you a while back, and one of the competitors on Tough Enough just un ironically told Stone Cold Steve Boston that her favorite match of all time was I believe it was Melina versus what's her name ends with Alicia Fox Malina versus Alicia Fox on like SmackDown, And
somebody tweeted it's saying like half of the WC is un ironically like this person and that it's one hundred percent true. So that's kind of sparked me. What are you talking about, Like maybe you should not be here right now? Yeah, of course, yeah, exactly right, Yes, of course. But that kind of sparked me to start this segments. As we move
forward, here of the worst tweets of the week. So, you know, anytime we're scrolling through baby paces Twitter, Austin, if you see something which we normally usually do in the first place, we'll send it be like send it to each other, like what the hell? This can't be real. So the debut of bad Tweets of the Week comes from none other than at McKenzie as ninety three B two has ten thousand followers, by the way,
so pretty good. Following tweeted, I'm saying this for my own opinion only, but I believe that Ilya Draganov has the potential to be the one to beat Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. Should I say that again? Do I need to say that again? I mean, Roman Reigns over a thousand dragging off is at his name? I think that's how you say it.
And this is the problem with the IWC man is they think that every everybody that watches wrestling is a die hard fan that watches every minutes of every show every week and knows every wrestler, knows their moves and knows what they're all about. I couldn't tell you. I've seen Elia Draganoff in his matches with Walter Right. That's all I know him from as a casual watcher of wrestling, and you know, a decent fan of wrestling. That's how a
majority of people watching the products are. And you want to actually suggest that that guy is going to be the one to in the most historic title reign of all time of Roman Reigns depends on who's in charge a triple H is in charge by then it isn't out that could. I mean, it's ridiculous on the surface. I mean, come on, I look, he's a good worker. He worked solid matches with Gun three. He had like the
match of the year or Walter like two years ago. Is when you really kind of got to see him and Walter like break out at this same time. But that's just not like everyone's necessarily style and everyone didn't really. I think he like went away after that. I think he got injured after having the title. Not a lot of people watch in xt UK at least I don't maybe some of our listeners and you know, some of the more hardcore
fans in the IWC. But come on, guys, I mean, really, you're looking at Roman Rains and what everything he's going through and the cinema that they're telling with that, and they don't even have anything to tell us who these guys are. That's it just doesn't make any sense. Well, the hilarious part about it is that this guy is even on the main roster yet I'd imagine Roman, I'd imagine Roman Reigin's title reign. I mean, it probably has a year at most left on it. If that's like it's
probably ending at Rustlemania next year. Let's be real. So you want to suggest that this guy who's not even on the main roster is going to debut on the main roster and within that would be about months get himself over to the main roster crowd people that don't watch NXTUK every week, thinking that he's going to be the one to dethrone Roman Rains. I'm sorry when I see stuff like this, I can't not bring it up. I just can't.
This is it's unbelievable. And listen, if you share that opinion, thinking of Elia dragging off is like the future of we You can have your opinion. I'm sharing mine. This is my platform. That's what I'm gonna say about it. So, I mean some of these I mean you could you can. I will say some of these people are going after this person because looking at some of the uh there the responses, I would hope. I
mean, you got a he beat Gunther's that's going too far. I see titles good for now you have some people, But I'm not wrong though these guys, Yeah, man, you got the bloodline section now, I mean this is some some of these people. I'm trying to find some other ridiculous one that may have Yeah there's yeah this this this guy's way out of pocket. This guy, yeah, out of pocket and he seems credible for whatever reason. I mean, I thought that was the perfect, you know,
way to debut, get over get over the tweet. Yep, yeah, bad tweet segment of the week. It's perfect. There you go. That's how you that's how you get over a segment, right there are Yeah, I think that's gonna be a that's gonna be a new thing. I think I like that because we find a lot of ridiculous stuff. Yes, you may even find meat tweeting some ridiculous stuff. Yeah, and let'sten, no one's no one's safe from bad tweet of the week. We've been on all
elite cringe before. All right, we've gotten put on blast before for not bad. They weren't bad tweets at least in our opinion. That's the thing. Everybody has opinions, you know, we know the old saying behind that. So they were fantastic opinions. Yeah, I mean they were liking people wrestling a blow up all Yeah, Yeah, I stayed up till four in the morning debating people that night. Right, Yeah, I was, I couldn't I couldn't sleep. I was in Joshua Tree, I was excited for
WrestleMania. But nonetheless, nonetheless, so there you go. Let's put a bow on the bad tweet of the week's segments. That will be a definitely recurring segment moving forward. Um, all right, let's should we just get into money in the Bank here, Let's let's do it. Let's do it. This is definitely one of my favorite pay per views of the year. Probably honestly, It's WrestleMania, It's Royal Rumble and I'm putting money in the bank. Third, money in the Bank. Yeah, Summer SLAMS four,
I think Money in the Bank has has overtaken. Summer Slam is a more intriguing, entertaining pay per view year after year. Um, and that's because of like the the excitement of new stars potentially reaching new heights, right, Like you look at the men's money in the Bank ladder match this year, Ricochet, Shensky La Night, Yeah, Santos Escobar, Butch, Damian Priest and Logan Paul. If any of those guys win, the brief case,
other than the ricochet, I could do without him. That's like, that's awesome because like I do care about all those guys in this match, and they've yet to kind of reach that height of being a world champion. It would be cool to see that if they do it in the right way, of course. So that's why I think Money in the Bank is one of the cooler pay per views of the year, one more exciting ones, just
like the Royal Rumble. It's like, oh, there's just so many possibilities of what could happen to set up the future, you know, champion or whatever it might be. It's gotten a lot of stars over in the past. You know, Edge got over through the Money in the Bank match, see him, Punk Dolve, Ziggler. Those are the ones off the top night Rob van Dam wanted the championship money in the Bank, you know. So it's very exciting stuff here and heading into the you know, the second
biggest pay per view of the year, Summer Slam. It always kind of sets it up. Tell us somebody drinking losses too for people, even our guy our on air in the Idol Stevens. You know, somebody kind of brainless, just weird mind decisions that come with that too. But I think you're right. It kind of does show like what the company's kind of thinking of at the time when they when they put the put the briefcase on them. So I'm not going to start with the two money and make ladder matches.
We'll end with those. I think that's the most intriguing matches of the card. Of course. Um let's go ahead and start with Seth Rollins. We talked about him the new world Champion defending his championship against Finn Balor. This is a match that people thought we would get in the finals at nine of Champions when that was kind of first announced, and then it was shown that there was going to be a raw side of the bracket and the SmackDown
side, and we got Seth and Ajum. So now we're coming back around to set right exactly. It's unreal. Um So, now we come back to what we thought was plan A with Seth versus Finn. These two obviously have some history together. They were in the first ever Universal Championship match at Summer Slam back in twenty sixteen. I believe that's the match that Finn Balor went over won the Universal Championship, got hurt during the match, had to
relinquish the title the next day. UM so fun little program between these two. But I just don't I don't see a way that Seth Rollins is losing the title here. Yeah, I have to agree. I think Seth keep sitting there, gonna keep doing whatever, trying to keep UM just still trying to keep it. It's it's my thoughts on the World Heavyweight champions it's the it's we're not taking the belt off of Romans, so here's our other title,
and we just we just want it. We just want people to stop complaining and stop tweeting that they're going to cancel our network just because we don't have the champion defending. UM. That's that's what. And so I think I think he wins, even though I just did kind of think at the time before they before they showed the SmackDown side of things, and I thought that it was going to be one. Everyone kind of thought it was gonna be Seth versus Finn. Anyways, I thought it was going to be finned.
And that's because that's the guy that they originally put over Seth a couple of years ago. It's a guy that they loved, Triple H loves them, um, but it's now they now that Seth is doing it. I think Seth is just he's just gonna keep doing these programs. And I think that they're thinking it's getting more people over. And I think that there's gonna be Finn's gonna have a lot more stuff to do with the Judgment Day. I think we'll get more into that when we get to our money in the
Bank predictions. But I think I don't know if there's more of a program coming out of this, but I do think Seth kind of keeps it and he's gonna eventually hold onto that for a good amount of time. I don't see them given the title the new title to someone else within like the next six months or whatnot, three to six months, unless something happens or rollins
which KNOCKNA on. Hopefully something doesn't. Yeah, And speaking the Judgment Day, recent reports are that we very high on every member of Judgment Day, and I think they've done a pretty good job of all getting themselves over, you know, as individuals, but also as a group. You know, they kind of do their own things, like on this pay per view right here, you got Finn Balor in the world title match. You got Dominic Masterio taking on the biggest you know, star on roll and Cody Rhodes.
You got Damien Priest and the Money in the make ladder match. So they're all getting there, giving themselves over and there in way, and I definitely think that one of those guys is very capable of taking the title of off Rollins at some point, but it's not going to be at money in the bank. So give me Seth to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Let's go ahead and jump over to that other Judgment Day member match with Dominic, Mysterio
and Cody Rhodes. You got the most hated guy on the roster in Dominic, right gets the most heat out of anybody. And by the way, I hated on Dominic for a long time. Shout out to do he got himself over the right way, man. And this guy when you can't even get a word out without getting booed out of the building as a heel in twenty twenty three, props to you, dude, So listen, I'll eat micro props to dom for getting himself over. This is very well is a
very easy formula. With this match, Cody Rhodes, beloved baby Face, gets the most you know, the biggest pop on roll every week, sells the most merchandise. Blah blah blah, Dominic Cirio, most hated guy on the roster. Put them together. You're gonna get gold from you know, the crowd reaction itself. As far as the match goes, Cody Rhodes is obviously gonna win this match and keep rolling to his story and see if that,
you know, leads to SummerSlam or WrestleMania wherever it might be. But you know, he's not going to take a loss here to Dominic by any means. But I think it should be a you know, pretty quality match. I don't think it will go very long. I think Cody will kind of kind of handle it. But I'm looking forward to the crowd reaction between these two. Yeah, I think the entrances will be hot. Of course,
Cody Rhodes's entrance is pretty over. Um yeah, they're starting to there, They're they're definitely starting to do uh diving in a little bit more deep with re endom now. Um so that that's definitely gonna be a factor in this match, right, whether she gets tossed out or I know other judgment day. I know Priest and Finn have their hands tied. Um, I don't know if they play a match. I don't know if they necessarily play a factor in this match or not. Just because I'm I want to go
with you and think, yeah, Cody Rhodes wins this match. But I think this is gonna be a pretty good match. I think Cody Rhodes will do a good job at a carry and dominant. I think I think they'll I think they'll work well together and make a pretty entertaining match. I know if it'll be like um five Stars at the Tokyo down Power, but it
will be a it's it's a good story. There's people, it's it's he's dominic is a is a piece of shit little kid, and uh, Cody Rhodes is he's just kind of just like everyone else is kind of like kfade, tired of his ship, so like you just you just want someone to kind of put him in his place, and he's, Uh, if we're not having one of the Universal Champion, you know, Cody Rowles doesn't need the championship right now to be in hot angles like that hey man Dime are
both helping each other get over. I think he wins, but I'm I'm interested to see the formula of what they do with this match of um or. Of course either Ripley Ripley or other Judgment Day stuff comes about because obviously, um I think they want to swar. Maybe they're trying to swerve us. Are they trying to swerve us make a sanky wins? And then something comes up and they're trying to make Judgment Day as skivy as the bloodline,
and someone always interferes. I'm not necessarily sure. My heart wants to say, Cody Roads, I'll agree with you. There we go another match, singles match, this one forward Championship in our Continental Championship. Guntherer against Matt Riddle. You know, I think it'll be a quality match, but sure nobody's the throning Gunther right now, like this guy's This guy's on the roll of a lifetime. I think he's over four hundred and fifty days of not
being pinned or submitted on the main roster. I don't know how long is inter Continent Old Championship rain has gone exactly, but it's definitely over a year. I believe he surpassed the year recently, so one of the more impressive inter count Old Championship runs and quite some time. I think they're going to have them beat the Honky talk Man's records. So not going to lose the
title here. But Matt Riddle, you know, a formidable guy. You can put a program with anybody, make him look good and it'll be a good match. Um. You know, there's styles I think will clash pretty well with each other. Riddles are pretty you know, the stiff kicks, you know, MMA type style that he he does with a little bit of like high flying maneuvers mixed then and he got Gunther just likes to kick ass. You know. I think that's gonna gonna He's gonna be a Indie Darling
love fest. Yeah, I mean it's gonna put for all good reason. They're gonna amplifi. I think I think this probably is gonna has probably match of the night potential. Yeah, with like you said, how their two styles are gonna clash, I think that's that's it. I mean, he's look how way he clashes with guys like Shamus, and he had a great match with Shamus or was the WrestleMania where he got like kicked in the face and like literally got kicked in the like right in the teeth I think by
Shamus during him and Riddle a couple of years ago. So he they've worked at good style. Riddles have bangers with everyone in the last year with Seth Rollins and Roman reins. I expect him to deliver with Gunther. Yep, it should be a great match, no question though. Gunther is walking out Intercontinental Champion before we get to the ladder matches. This is a big one right here. Man the bloodline which is now just Roman and Solo and of
course Wall Hayman flanking them against the USO's one's up, one's up? What I mean what you went to SmackDown recently, which that involved the segment where the whole thing imploded. Let's talk about that before we get that was that was absolutely awesome, even the shout out to Cody and Marcus that came along and tadded along with us, and shout out to ninety eight one the Bull for having us there. We had some pretty sweet seats. Honestly, we
weren't ringside. We were like probably like the next row behind ring side. Oh, they're really really really good. You're like right behind like the production table and everything like that. So that's pretty cool. And as a production event, Nerd, it's cool to see how they run lights and have everything set up back there. So that's like a whole other show within itself. I got on the beer cam. That was pretty cool and but all like
that, it's it's perfect how they played it. They threaded it throughout the whole episode. Everyone was just it was nutcut in time. Once Roman Rains came out and every and that was almost better than a match. That was a pivotal part in this storyline where he came out and kind of shot usso shot on. His older brother said guess what you out and I'm out too, and then he hit the kick and Roman Roman sold it. Dude, Roman just absolutely and he just hit the floor. That whole place went fucking
crazy. Dude, it was absolutely awesome. I stood up. I was shocked, even though in like I MILLI second in my head the mark Nerd in my head just told me Betty turns out here and says I'm out too. Bowman happened. I stood Oh my god, I can't even believe, like I can't believe I just witnessed that and then Roman gets pissed off and
then I took a video of that. You check that out on our new YouTube page, the baby Faces podcast and on all of our socials at baby Faces Pod where they delivered they both delivered the Who's the super kick to them and they take Solo out. It was is absolutely crazy. Everyone threw the ones up. It was it's it's absolutely nuts to be and shout out to the baby Faces. We got to be a part of so much. And
this Roman Rains Tribal Chief run, let's think about that. Even you have two from the Royal Rumble when you win, that was like the start what you we got to witness one of Roman Rains. He asked people best matches when he thought it's seth rollins and he came out with the shield and then we got to see the Summer Slam and from WrestleMania, and how how this
has all developed has just been awesome. I want to take a time to mark out for myself, um and on us in this podcast growth and what we've got to be a part of, because when we would have started this, when all this was happening, I would have never thought that we'd had the experiences that we've had. But we've got to we've got to experience all this live, and it's been pretty cool. Yeah, No, it is
cool. It's like, um, you know, if you're like a season ticket holder for a sports team and they have like a really good year that leads to a championship or a good playoff run or a big Bowl game or whatever it might be, like you just feel part of it and it leads to even more you know, fandom and uh emotion towards it. So I'm
high often. I'm ready for when they come to Louisville and uh like next month and they July, Yeah, August, two months, August twenty fifth, less than two months, so yeah, be here before we know it. And we'll have um WB super staring with us sometime in between that. So looking forward to that. All right, So let's get into this match,
bloodline versus Ouso's. Man, I don't really like this is. I don't know what the thing it's great stuff because I truly in your opinion real quick, let me ask you since you just asked me, Like, there's a lot of people I wouldn't even say a lot of people there. At some times where people feel like they're done with this bloodline store, it just
gets really interesting. Again. I've always been entertained with the whole thing since I'm I'm just a mark for how that's That's the only thing that WW seems to be taken care of and putting effort into is the bloodline storyline. There, it's it's been cinema. How have you been feeling about this? Have
you been liking all the swerves? Have you been liking? Uh? You know, they sometimes they'll have like the next week is Jay thinks on his announcement and while some IWC this could be a main event, Uh what do you? What do you? Are? You still high in this bloodline storyline
like everyone else, I just need to see where you're at. Well in an in an era of wrestling that is always so predictable and foreseeable because of you know, online reports and rumors that come out, the bloodline storyline has been one that has remained like sacred, like kept tight to the chest and you don't know what's going to happen next. And admittedly I don't. I don't watch SmackDown a whole time. It's on Friday nights, I'm usually out
and about, you know, on Friday nights. That's that, you know, I have I have a wife outside of outside of it, a wife too, and a wife that definitely that definitely plays a part. Uh So, I don't get to catch SmackDown often, But when I am finding myself home on a Friday night and I flip on SmackDown and a Bloodline segment comes on, I'm glued to the TV like it. I can't help it.
Like sure, at some point it's going to run. It's time, and it's going to be time to move on to the next thing or whatever. But they have done such a good job looking at WrestleMania of everybody thinking that could have been the culmination of the blowup of the bloodline. Now we are here X amount of months later and it's still as hot as it's ever been. They have done such a good job of, like you're saying, putting the effort into the storyline, making it, and the bloodline is kind of
crumbling because of the events of WrestleMania. Didn't yeah, yeah, necessarily one guy winning. It's a like like Roman said in the WrestleMania press conference afterwards, they're going to train you to, you know, in a world that's TikTok in thirty second videos. No, no, no, you got to retrain your brain to really pay attention for the long burned storylines that they're putting on with the Bloodline right now. And that's what this is. I mean,
every week matters to this storyline. Every week there's a new wrinkle in the storyline, and that's what television is all about. And like we say all the time, Austin, at the end of the day, all of this is just a television show, all right. It's not it's not sports where they're actually competing to to beat each other up. Whatever. It's a television show with characters that are telling stories and cool action. I'll be it
exactly. That's a big part of it, of course. Um. But yeah, the Bloodline storyline to me has been phenomenal every step of the way. The same page. Yeah. Yeah, And at some point it's going to run its course when that win is is not today everything is, everything is So there's going to be some point where we're like, a, we're still doing this, but it everything seems like it's kind of naturally progressing as it should. Yes, absolutely. Um, So I talked about unpredictable with
this match, I have no idea what to think. I like a one part of me thinks of the USO's winning would be such a big win for them, and if they want to build up Jay as the next contender for the championship, if it's Roman verse J at SummerSlam, which a lot of people are speculating about, which I think would be phenomenal, Um, then I think you do got to put over the usos here because what else is gonna make j look like a a you know, a contender for the championship
and an actual one that can possibly beat Roman. If Roman and Solo go over here, then the USO's are what what do they have to do next? Right? But at the same time, like Roman and Solo are in such a run right now, seeing one of them get pinned would be like, oh wow, you know what I'm saying. So, but with it being a non titlement, like obviously the title isn't on the line, so Roman can lose here without repercussions, right Like, if you're gonna take a
loss, I think Roman could get here. Oh man, I mean if you have if you have j Penn Roman. That's probably the best way to do this because that sets up your Summer Slam an event my fantasy booking. Just immediately, what comes to mind is how I would do it with action figures to kind of protect everybody. Like something happens where Roman Rains gets laid out with there's there's probably gonna be a million super kicks in this match.
Roman Rains is gonna get laid out with the super at duper as mightiest fucking super kicks by both of the usos. Something's gonna happen, and like Solo is gonna come in fucking Spike Jay, He's gonna fall onto Roman. And then like while Solo realizes that what's gonna happen, He's gonna get super kicked by the other fucking USO And like it's and you know, and Jay can have that over or they could just do it fucking clean. I don't know, Or they could just do it clean, and I don't know what.
I still think that the usos are so over and they're a part of a storyline within this. It's not like a bums beating Roman or accidentally like slipping on a banana peel and pinning him. Uh, it's it's his brother that everyone thinks has an actual, true shot at beating him in the future. And if they want to plant that blood of Brett, uh, that bread crumb possibly for Summer Slam, because I still, I honestly think Roman does
keep this like another year. He can't keep this for however long he wants a year, another two years, he could possibly get out of this. You said one, Um, but I it's it's it's they can do their job with things like this, with making other superstars look like like a legit threat. And I think you know, if Jay doing something can make it look like a legit threat for Summer Slam, even though we all kind of
know Roman will still probably end up winning. Yes, exactly, if if you want to plant that seed of doubt of oh, maybe they're gonna put the rocket on Jay. Maybe maybe Jay is the guy to you know, to end this bloodline and not end it. But like the next chapter of the bloodline storyline is Jay goes over, give him the pen here over Roman and set that up and have yourself unheld a Summer Slam, an event which
I'm gonna go I'll predict that. And now talking through it. You know, I don't really prepare for these these shows, like I'm just off the cups kind of, I think, yeah, yeah, And after talking about it there, I think the usos are going over I do. I think
so too. Um do you think that what all right? Now? What kind of do you think that there's any sort of foil, any type of trickeration, any any And I like exactly what you laid out of, you know, something along the lines of they protect Roman in some sort of way, but you still have Jay is the one pinning Roman, right. Yeah. Um, I don't think there's any like sort of like interference or anything like, Like, I think it's a straight up win, but it's kind
of like a little flukey to protect Roman. But still it makes Jay look strong. And I love what you laid out of. Like, you know, he hits his big move on Roman, and then Solo comes out of nowhere, Samoan Spike, he lands right on Roman, and Jimmy makes the last Yeah. Yeah, that's that's brilliant. I could I could totally see that happening. Here. I saw an article and I just see here here, here's a couple of things I can lay out to you while I want
to hear what your possible opinion on this is. So here's you laid out either something fishy. Do you think anything happens where it's clean, like when it comes to USOS, we had Duso's winning. Do you had USO's winning clean at all? Or it's just some trickeration like we said, or sometimere
has to be there has to be something something to protect Roman. Okay, but I still think it's a pretty strong Like it's not like you know, they the ref is knocked out and they they low blow them because they're not the heels in this case, they're the faces. They're not going to do something like that. Sure, so but something along the lines of like okay, like Roman clearly like got the shit into the stick right there. It wasn't really under his control. But still, you know, a pretty formidable
win by the USOS. What about this possibility another just when we kind of thought that we we we knew where things are going with with the Drew match, because I this is fresh off my brain. We saw Solo debut and another another us another blood line member. Do we get another blood line member, whether it be new or old Rakishi An old member come out of nowhere to maybe try to Rakishi is Solo's dad. Maybe he tries to kind of set him in line and distracts Solo. I don't do we have that that
Jacob faught too. I know you've probably seen his name from in wa Um. I don't necessarily what's know, what's up with his contract I've always seen I've always seen interest or whatnot. I don't know if he kind of comes out of nowhere for this story. But do you think that there's any any any new family, any new blood line stuff. I think you saved that for SummerSlam when Roma needs to get the win of Jay, right, yeah, probably probably, and then he don't get my mind started with the rock.
But what about this possibility? What if what if Jimmy turns on Jay and then just walks out and then he just said's that's the Sworve realigns himself with Roman. That would still work. Got in Jay's Jimmy's head a little yea, yeah, that would still work because then Jay is still you know, the protagonist in the storyline, and he has a lot of sympathy for him and about it. He didn't lose, Yeah, he didn't lose because
he wasn't good enough. He lost because his brother turned on him. Yeah, right, and so I went back with his piece of shit manipulating cousin and yeah, yeah, it's and and and that's the thing I hate to I hate to sit here in quarterback and I hate that sometimes we could get ahead of ourselves. And if it's just so entertaining and everything that's been going on, like I it's I don't want to be spoiled. But there's a lot of things where I think I'd be cool if they did this. I'd
be cool if they did this. Add be cool they did this. It's like wrestling when I was a little kid again and like really into it. And that's what this feels like. I'll be excited for mostly anything, obviously if it's not trash, but like, this thing could go so many avenues. It's made this part of wrestling fun. Yeah. Absolutely, So we'll see what the next chapter of the Bloodline storyline hasn't star for us on Saturday. Um, all right, let's get into the money Bang ladder matches and
we'll wrap up here. We'll start with the women's Selina Vega, Becky Lynch, Zoe Stark, Bailey, EO Sky, and Tris Stratis. A lot of like storylines inside the big picture here. You know, Trish and Becky have been going at It's m. Bailey and EO. Sky both are in you know, Faction Damage Control together. So a lot of different things to look out for in this match. But I'm gonna go ahead and say it. Give the briefcase the Trish do it. I think I'm kind of right
there with it, Dude. I think I need a Tris Stratis twenty twenty three title title reign. I need it. I think brilliant. I could totally see that happen, even if even if something happens where she catches in and doesn't women oh yeah, yeah, it doesn't win. I think the thought of her having it, I mean, who would have thought that Tris Stratus would come back to rest and at one point still have the money in the bank briefcase and still be challenging that who who who the hell is she
going after? Who she'd be going after Ripley? Uh? That would do? She could job out the Ripley, that would do. That mean a lot to Ripley. But like they kind of they're both heels, so I won't. I don't see how that's necessary. I mean, Ria could always lose, and like you don't have the cash in next week, right, that's true, that's true a while, that's true. But I don't see. I don't see. I don't know. I don't see she like Trish
wouldn't be one to hold it for a long time. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Like my my prediction for the men's matches, whoever has it will hold it for a substantial amount of time. But like you, we're in agreement. I do kind of like the idea of Chris of Trish having it because no one I see you didn't mention. Everybody else kind of has their
own problems within that will probably get in the way, you know. I mean, I could see like Trish winning some sort of flukey way where Becky was about to take the briefcase and Trish, you know, throws her off whatever and they have a match at SummerSlam for the briefcase or something like that.
That's kind of where I see this going in a way. But you could also go into the Bailey EO Sky thing if you want to split them up and make EO Sky, you know, singles competitor and make her a challenger for a championship down the line, which she already she did challenge Bianca bell Air a few months back on a pay per view. So yeah, they obviously see her in that light. I know a lot of people are are a big fan of her and her in ring work, which I think
she's She is pretty solid in ring. I think she's got a good look to her. You know, somebody that if you want to like, yeah, yeah, EO, Like if you want to like, well on these matches, if you want to put somebody over that hasn't been in that, you know, in that tier yet, I think EO is the one to go with. But I don't know something about me. I just would love to see Trish with that briefcase in twenty twenty three. And I think Trish has been awesome late, like her her mic work has been great, her
character work has been great. You know, obviously she's on the older end, so the ring work is is you know, good enough? Um So, I don't know. I think it'd be fun. I think the check they have with her, now, what's her name? The n x T chick that just came Tiguan Knox is that her name? Yeah, I think I think so. I think they're trying to make her a big deal um
and I think that they're just kind of attaching on to her. So I think that I think they're gonna have Trish plan to stick around and just kind of be the one speech like. It seems like Trish is kind of I mean, I'm not saying she's gonna be around for the long haul, but maybe for the next like six months, be a pretty consistent um performer for them, so she doesn't have to work. She can use the Tiguan Knox to go out there they take a loss or either look good for and all
that. And I think that's It's wrestling doesn't have to be sixty years old and doing crazy shit that you see on other promotions, things that could get you know this, this stuff gets These wrestlers can do so much, so much with just so little time on just screen or just so little character work. Everything doesn't have to be a match. I could totally see that. Yeah, so my heart is saying Trish, my head is saying, EO, I think it'll be one of those two. I think I'm gonna go
with Trish here. That's that's I think that's my heart and head. There we go, Okay, that's what she said. All right, Men's Money in the Bank Glidder match, one of the more exciting matches of the year, one of my personal favorites. As I said, he got Ricochet, shinskay La Night, Yeah, San Jose as Gavar Butch, Damian Priest and
Logan Paul last minute edition into the match. So that's the wildcard here is Logan Paul Because I know a lot of people over the past few months have kind of speculated Logan Paul if if he is going to be a champion one day, Money in the Bank would be a perfect way to set that up.
I don't disagree. I think he's definitely in play here. Recent reports say that Triple H is against Logan Paul winning, while some internally are pushing for that, but the top two contenders seem to be outside of that Damian Priest from Judgment Day we mentioned. You know, everyone backstage is very high on every member of Judgment Day, and Damian Priest has been on a pretty good role lately. Ever since his big match with Bad Bunny of course um
and then La Knights has just been the most over guy on television. Yeah, I mean, dude, at rap Arena, he came out and as Lexi, it's his job to be the healing, comes out and shoves the new Hall of Famer. Everyone's cheering on. Everyone's cheering. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's I mean, it's and his pop the other like two weeks ago on RAW when he came out and they did that's that's you know, one of the more viral WW videos is everyone's everyone's going crazy
for him. They and they can't be ignoring that, right right, um And it has been you know, rumored and reported that he's very much looked at as one of the top contenders to win this match. Obviously one of the most over guys right now. If you've been listening to us, we've long been fans of La Nights. So is it time to give him the brief ace and you know, set him up for a potential title reign in the near future over the next year, obviously you have the cash in the
briefcase. Um? Or did they go with a guy like Damian Priest who is a little more proven right now but not nearly as entertaining as as La Night right or do is Logan Paul. They the mega star Logan Paul. Is he in the is he in the mix? Here? I'll let you start and I'll give you my thoughts. That's yeah, it's it's it's pretty
intriguing money in the bank. Honestly, with I think everyone kind of knew that Logan Paul was gonna come along, even though it's kind of announced like a week two weeks ago as a good lady and a much needed kind of star power. Um. But I do kind of think you said butches in this right? Yep, that's that's not happening for him. Neither, Yeah, neither stay there for the spot. I like Santos esk bar a lot.
I don't think he's Santos is gonna be there for the say Santos is gonna be one of those guys that they taught they're gonna he's he's gonna get the Montez for this guy is gonna be a star one day, He's gonna have that performance. I think it really comes down to I think something happens. I think they get into a feud with La Knight and Logan Paul. I think that that's gonna be the feud going forward. It's um although bee weird seeing Logan lose after, you know, after just losing. So I
don't know. I do think Damian Priest wins this as I do think Damian Priest wins. I think it just kind of how you touched up on it earlier. I think this will this is gonna they want to do something big with Judgment Day there. I think this is their answer to try to do something bloodline ish on the raw side of things. And plus there's been rumors
going around that's a fun thing. Rumors rumor in Anu Windo Palum. Maybe someone leaving the someone leaving Judgment Day, whether that could be whether that be Damian Priests. Maybe this starts, maybe Damian Priest leaves h Maybe Damian Priest gets on his high horse or whatnot and says I'm going to be the champion of the group one day, him and Finn get a tussle and if Fin gets kicked out. I know that that's been the rumors, but it seems
we've we've talked about this one on our show before. Damian Priest isn't in a young spride Chicken. He's like, what like forty It's not like he's the future, but I think they do like him enough to possibly give him like a title I could I could possibly see in whenever Seth loses, it could be to Damien Priests. Doesn't mean to Damian Priest has to you know,
keep the title for forever. Seth's not in a place or I like roman is where I think either Romans in a place where he loses either has to relinquish it or it has to be to like this next young star that it's obviously the future of your company. It's not going to be anyone his age. Seth is. Seth is doing this part of defending the titles, and he can, he can, he could. He could lose with someone like Damien Price. He doesn't have to lose with somebody that's that's gonna be
the next star. He could just lose a like who's gonna be a transitional heel for the next couple of months. And I think that's what they're banking on Damian Priests to be here in the future. Yeah, I mean, I think that's that's the logical pick here is Damien Damien Prieves because I guess a little more proven than La Knight as far as like he's been in big matches and produced before, Like La Knights really never been in a big program, right, Like we all know and we wonder why because the guy is
freaking money. He needs to be um. So yeah, it's logical that Damian Priests would win money in the bank here, you know, cashing on seth rollins and a couple of months have like you said, like a couple of month title reign before giving it up to hope it's going to be the champion head into Rustlemania. Yeah, that's very logical. I'm not gonna goes to your next future stars. Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever, I'm not gonna go with logical. La Knights win in the fucking briefcase, La
Knights, it's time time. That's my heart. And like I said, with money in the bank, I think personally, I know not everybody is of this belief. Money in the bank should be used to put over a star that needs the bump to the main events seen and like La Knight has not been in a lot of big programs yet, but he everybody knows that he has the potential. It's not I don't want to say potential. We
know what we have in La Night. This guy's money. He's one of the best on the mic in wrestling period right now, if not the best as far as charisma goes. And everybody would say, oh, he's just a knockoff rock. Why would you not model yourself after the rock on the mic, the most entertaining guy on the mic and WB history. Yeah,
spare me with that insult appeared. Here's the thing. When he came out and Lexington had smacked down a couple of weeks ago, I can't tell you how many people said that they were happy to see him number one, that they loved La Night, and that some people were just mad that he didn't cut a promo. People were mad that he just came out show Braymon steering. I got into a match, right, I wanted to hear him talking. Should he should be talking there? He should be talking every week.
Absolutely, that's what he is best at. And that's a damn good thing to be good at in this business because once again, television show with characters, this guy's all the character in the world. That's what you need to be a world champ in and get yourself over and have fun, entertaining programs
and all that, So I think La Knight wins. That obviously leaves but the question of what's next then, right, because Romans the champion on SmackDown, La Knights on SmackDown, would he cash in on the world champion at some point? I have no idea. I don't see that. That's why, like I said earlier in the episode, I think La Knight's going to
hold on to this briefcase for close to a year. Like I think this is gonna be like his title, basically that he carries around for the next like you know, eight nine months, and whoever comes out of WrestleMania Champion, which I don't think will be Roman Reigns, that's who La Knight eventually cashes in on next year and he becomes the champion and there you go. So that's my prediction La Knights. The time is now put the briefcase on him and just you don't have to have a plan for him yet, but
this can go. The rule is you have a year to cash in, so he would have until July of next year to cash in the briefcase, which is plenty of time to figure out what you're doing with the world title and play what you want to do with him, So don't like, go ahead and like book what's going to happen with him in the briefcase, Just let it play out naturally and cash in when the literally you know, no pun intended, when the iron is hot. And I think that's your best
way to go here, So give me La Night for the win. Yeah, yeah, I think La kind of I would love for that to happen because I've turned into We're big La more marks for l A Night I would love to see. I'd love to see him in that in that spot. I don't think that he necessarily wouldn't need a His character does so much for that he doesn't necessary he could. He could talk some shit and get into his own feud that could lead him to a championship rather than just the money
in the bank. I could totally see them mix in the personalities with him and Logan Paul getting into a feud and Logan Paul. You know, Paul does a social media thing outside of wrestling, and I think La Night is a great vessel to have on other platforms to go out there and introduce you to WWE, especially when it makes you think of when you hear them, it makes you think of the rock, it makes you think it's Steve Boston.
Maybe other people that aren't necessarily familiar with that. Other people they listen to the Impulse or whatnot that that are still kind of casual, don't lean into it. They hear this guy and they start to see him on other network TVs or other interviews or other other media. La Night's gonna l Knight's gonna sell that and promo the hell out of it, And I think WWE can benefit a lot from that. So I think that's where their heads at
more on that, because I'm just afraid. I've seen this with Gray Wyatt. I'm just afraid that they have something and they don't necessarily know what to do with it. Not necessarily let them know what to do with it. They just that It's it's like like the Joker said, and I'm like a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it, Like you have it all right, now what? And it's like
the Finding Nemo when the the fish finally now what? So like it's it's I'm just afraid that you know, this company has a reputation of doing this is some of my favorite guys. I'm jaded, man. Yeah, I mean Austin theory last year one, Yeah in the bank all the cash in for the US title, Like, don't do that again, never do that again. Yeah. Um but yeah, I mean I think like you can put Damian Priest in a program with seth rawlins and have him win the title
without the money in the make briefcase. Like I think Damian Priest is of that caliber scene, in that caliber by people that watch wrestling, that he could logically be a number one contender without needing the briefcase, the like cash in or whatever. So La Night. On the other hand, I don't
see him just like entering a world title program out of nowhere. He's never even had like a legit pro The only one that he's been in that really has been with Bray Wyatt and you know that was whatever that was coming back. Yeah, So like he still has some proving to do in that aspect, but I think we all know that he can do it and this should be kind of the thing that pushes him to the next level. So yeah,
I agree, there you go, that's money in the bank. Austin, We did it like that, and you know what, we didn't have to send another link because we are now on stream yard, so like beautiful, we we now pay to make this thing sound and look a little bit more professional. I feel like it does sound better just based on what I'm here. And yeah, I didn't even think about that. Like normally with Zoom they make you pay if you want to have more than a forty minute
time limit. I ain't paying zoom shit, So we don't do that, and then we would always be like, forty minutes are coming up. They're like, oh all right, stop that point. Yeah, let me save this, Let's get into a new one that Yeah, not today, sir,
not today on the main event now, that's right. Be sure to give us follow on social at baby Faces Pod, we will be giving our thoughts on money in the Bank and all that stems from its on there of course, Facebook, Twitter, I g the whole nine yards, and be sure to keep it locked right here for our next episode, whenever that might be. Until then, I'm Billy Prikett, he is Awesome Montgomery, and we are the Baby Faces Podcast.
