Initial forecasts surrounding the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic haven’t yet come to pass, as the third quarter was marked by strong credit performance, origination volume and used-vehicle values. Still, peak credit losses are expected in 2021, which could be problematic as lenders look to forecast the coming year amid flattening credit loss provisions.
