Festive Fixtures Preview

The Premier League is set to continue throughout the Christmas period despite the ongoing COVID concerns, so the FPL General is here to get you ready for what will hopefully be a busy period of festive fixtures. There's the usual watchlist update, captaincy advice plus these questions answered:

• If one still holds the first wildcard, when is the best to play it, GW19 or GW20?
•  Is it time to dump double Chelsea defence?
•  Is big at the back still a viable strategy? If so, who are the preferred players?
•  Is it too much of a knee jerk transfer to get Son in?
•  Is Bernardo Silva a hold?
•  With Martinelli emerging as another midfield asset, can we go without a Man City midfielder given the rotation risks and stick to nailed assets like Son, Mount, Raphinha etc?
•  Is it time to sell ESR or will his game time improve?
•  Do we target Ronaldo this gameweek?
•  Assuming Salah is your captain, best options for vice-captain if a game is postponed?
•  Should we be starting to plan transfers towards potential upcoming DGWs, or stick with week-by-week reactionary transfers given COVID disruption?
