Erik ten Hag agrees deal to become Manchester United manager

Mark Chapman is joined by The Athletic's David Ornstein, Adam Crafton and Carl Anka to react to the news David broke on Tuesday evening that Erik ten Hag has agreed a deal in principle to become the next permanent Manchester United manager.

There's discussion of the scale of the task facing ten Hag, his suitability for the role, how much say in incomings and outgoings he will likely have, and how he will fit into the existing footballing hierarchy at Old Trafford.

We also a look at where this leaves Mauricio Pochettino, who for a long time was thought to be the manager many inside and outside the club wanted to take over.
