Based on the book by Frank Herbert, "Dune" tells the story of Paul Atreides. In the far future of humanity, Paul's father, Duke Leto Atreides accepts the stewardship of the dangerous desert planet Arrakis. The planet contains the only source of the most valuable substance in the universe, "spice", a drug that extends human life and provides accelerated levels of thought.
