Episode description

This week Joey and Aki talk about the Alita: Battle Angel live-action adaptation. The Trailer dropped two days ago and there's a lot of thoughts from people online. It's an old Manga, and is being produced by James Cameron (Avatar) and directed by Robert Rodriguez (Sin City). Joey thinks seeing Robert Rodriguez's name as Director is a good step. They've chosen a really niche manga too, probably in the hope that they won't get too many people offside because it's not super popular so there's not a huge fan-base to tick off. Everyone's talking about Alita's eyes; most peeps don't like them. Joey and Aki think people are being too quick to judge from the Trailer, because it's only a tiny snippet of what's to come. The duo think there's hope; its got a really good Director/Producer combo, plus most people probably don't even know the original Manga. From what he's seen so far, and because of the people making it, Joey thinks it's going to be a decent film - as long as they don't get the story wrong. Thoughts?
