Idol culture in Japan; the stigma and effects

This week Joey and Aki talk about Japan's Idol culture. Aki watched a documentary on Japan's Idol culture and now she is (slightly) obsessed. The documentary looked at the stigma surrounding idols in Japan and the effects around that. It looks in to how Japan's population is decreasing and how the Idol culture may be feeding into a culture that distracts men (and some women) from dating. The duo also talks about what defines an 'Idol' - are Perfume and Baby Metal idols? Joey isn't sure...
