How do you get your parents in to Anime

This week Aki’s on her lonesome because Joey (and Aki) are getting ready to come to AUSTRALIA! Aki’s been getting her mum into Anime recently, she started by showing her Wolf Children, which her mum really liked because she could relate to it. Then she showed her Grave of the Fireflies, which her mum said she’d only recommend to someone interested in history and the impact of war. Aki might be ready to introduce her mum to some Ghibli movies now but wouldn’t show her anything too ‘full-blown’. A fan asks how they can get their parents into anime and Aki says, to start by showing them a movie, if they like it great, if not just accept it and hope they can support your love for it. Thoughts?
