For my birthday. I don't know what birthday was. It was twenty first. It was my twenty first birthday, last last year, last month.

I mean your grandfather then anybody who already has said you can't get too old, now this is your first sent that might be debatable. Now I'm a salesman, so I would definitely say you're never too old to biase.

It's definitely been a few.

You know, sometimes people who get financially stable later on in life and they're like I always wanted.

Or well maybe their teeth don't.

Yeah, yeah, now that there's they got veneers, they're like, Okay, I can get grills too, and uh miss them all ve all over again.

What's crazy is I just said that Grills, the song Grills is nineteen years old.

That's crazy. Which is wild? How much has changed in the grills game in that time.

Well, one thing that I can definitely say, I gotta shout out my boy Johnny Dang because the opportunity he gave me to be a grill salesman where he was.

Off as a wholesaler for other actually for Dennis, who sold grills so go sol Go Teeth, and then he became a wholesaler for people like me who would sell grills out of their trump and just show up to wherever you at or go do pop ups at.

Stores or whatever.

And then of course Johnny was like, there's too much money in the sales game. I need to be a salesman too, and he started he opened his own store. We've been in business for a long time. Big shot, my boy Johnny Dang. But the same opportunity gave me to make my own hustle. He gives that the song.

I love to see it. You never give me vibes. You don't give me like none of none of that. I ain't mad at them. Also, you're like, yeah you are. You know your position a lot has changed too.

You've also have been on like in the past nineteen years, like your life even as an artist, as a person, you did.

On were you went like on a health journey? Yes, what was that? Like?

It couldn't have come too soon too, because you know, it's an investment. When you invest in your life and yourself and your family. I mean, you definitely see those returns when it comes.

Look, I was the last time I seen you, I was big. Well, the first time I seen you, I was big as a house. Last time I seen you, I was big is like apartment she shed in the back of a midtown apartment. And now I'm looking you know, I'm living on my best like I'm really just just just loving you know. I mean all of this, like growing my hair out everything. You know, I've lived my whole life with a fade, you know what I'm saying.

I didn't think I would look good with long hair or people would talk about me and wouldn't like my hair.

You know, I grow my hair.

Thank you. And you seem happy, definitely very happy. What is making you most happy right now? If you that?

My family definitely making me the most happy. But you know, I mean just enjoying small little moments, you know what I'm saying. Not anything major or anything tackle it, but just you know, the little things. Is I really appreciate.

You know, my mom, my mother in law.

They both at an age where they need to be taken care of. So like when my mom come to visit me. She lives in Colorado. She lost her house after Hurricane Harvey and she moved to Colorado. She lives in the mountains, at the top of the mountain, but she still comes to visit, like once a month, she goes to the doctor, and it's just the biggest blessing. I had to be able to take her to the doctor, to help her in the car, to put a seatbelt on, just to any of those things.

I really cherish those moments.

She feels bad, like she feels like she's a burden, and I'm like, nah, Mama, you got this is a blessing for me to be able to take care because I know a lot of friends personally who lost their mother and the father, but specifically when you lose your mother, it's just a lot of times it's does something to you. You know, Holidays, Mother's Day, all the birthdays, and they would give anything.

To be able to take their mama to the doctor.

So it's sadly people don't think about that till after their mom is gone.

So you seem to like be in touch with it early, like now, definitely.

I mean, look, if you want to be upset about something, you look for, you're gonna find it. There's a lot to be mad about out there. There's a lot to be jealous of. There's a lot to feel like you know you got done wrong or you know feeling titled about something or but.

You know, if you want to be happy about something, it's there too. That's what I'm looking for. I'm not looking to be upset. I'm looking to be happy. So I'm looking for something to make me something working. Yeah, God blessed. What a beautiful what a beautiful life.

So with that spirit, you got new music coming and so is that all in?

This is like when I was a kid freestyling at the lunch table. You know, this is like, this is my dream to be able to be here with you.

You know still you know what I'm saying.

So to be able to live my dream and for God to answer my prayers that I still pray for this every day, so you know, for me to prayer God let me live my dream. Helped me make the music I want to make, help me make people happy, help the music make make me happy, and just help me just live my life that I want to live.

You got to be grateful for whatever you have, even if it's not exactly what you want.

Be grateful because it can always be worse for show. Yeah, for sure, what does this music sound like? What do we talk.

You know, the album is called Once Upon a Grind. It's a lot of motivation music. It's a lot of music to make you want to go out there and be your best self, to put your best foot forward, you know, and just to do your best.

To to strive to make progress. You know, however small a little it might be. As long as you're making progress, you know, the journey continues. So you know, what's that what the music is all about? Once upon a Grind? You got to get out there and get off your butt. Gotta grind. You're a grind to for sure, right because you must be.

You have to be disciplined also not just for to have a career this long, but also even to get to take control of.

Your health and your life. In that way, there has to be discipline involved in that. What is that? What is that grind? Like? What do you? What are you doing?

Do you get up at like five in the morning, Like, how do you what are your disciplines?

Well, I definitely got my you know, my little cheats here and there, like when it comes to food or you know what I'm saying this and that, But you know, you got to be disciplined.

One of My main disciplines is drinking a lot of water. Even though today I haven't drunk too much, you know what I'm saying.

A water, I mean and instead of drinking juice, you know, because we get it, we get it stuck in our mind, and juice is healthy for you.

And really juice is just full of sugar, you know. Juice. Really, really juice should be called kool aid. You know what I'm saying.

Like, if you ever had fresh squeeze juice and juice, it is night and day you have fresh squeeze orange juice or any juice, and you have orange juice out of bottle from the you know, the store is night and day different, you know what I'm saying. And uh, that's that's what just me. I don't drink anything like that. I try not to drink too much. I drink a little soda here and there, but mostly it's water and coffee. That is what You're gonna see me drink every now

Now, I do work out a little bit, but usually I work out just so that I can not run out of breath when I'm performing, you know, like because you know, I saw them like at a weird age where people will bring their kids to show and some people.

When you're talking about that with the Locks, because they're doing a reunion show and they just turned thousand to turn fifty.

Yeah, so the audience, he said, the Lock shows are safer. Now you don't have to really worry about your life.

You probably experienced some of that, but you know it's weird when they you know, I don't want to go out there, and I'm sure. I mean, well they obviously killing and I've seen them, you know, perform plenty of times.

So you know, that's my biggest motivation for working out is just for when I'm on stage.
