Speaker 1

It was maybe Rivera in the building today. Lots of energy, lots of good vibes, enjoy.

Speaker 2

We like all of that.

Speaker 1

Energy, and we're trying to keep on energy good with This is a lot going on in the world. I don't know if you guys want to talk about the election, because that's of course on everybody's mind right now.

Speaker 2

My God, for Kamala Mama La, I just couldn't. I was so off where I didn't go to sleep to like four thirty. Head hurt.

Speaker 3

I literally, I've been taking my My head's still hurt because it is absolutely amazing to me that people don't remember the way the world was four years ago. That we do not remember ah Mad Aubrey. We do not remember the emboldenness that was provided by the leadership that we elected. So to re elect that is absolute insanity to me. It's like to me, it's like pooping in your living room.

Speaker 4

It just goes to show how not evolved as I thought we were as Americans. It's because she was a yes race, but it was because she was a female, Like I heard lead, like, how many years are we going to go?

Speaker 3

Like this is well, if you think about a Nibia, the reality is I am the first person in my entire family as a woman who was born with the actual right to vote. Wow, you think of when the voting bill was actually passed. My mother was alive, so my mother was born, her mom didn't have the rights, and my mom didn't have the right to vote.

Speaker 5

We've come such a long way, but I think it has a.

Speaker 3

Lot to do with the younger generation that doesn't understand the influence that they have in elections and feeling so unheard as a people.

Speaker 6

It feels like for what so so many people.

Speaker 3

I remember being at a restaurant yesterday after voting and this young lady asked who I voted for and I told her Kamala, And I said, you know, did you vote?

Speaker 5

She said no?

Speaker 3

And to me, it was just absolutely amazing the amount of people that died and fought for our ability to have a civic duty. It's like using the bathroom and not wiping yourself, Like what what what are you doing? And you might not have kids, but I have free and I know the way that we.

Speaker 2

Have sons, and we haven't ed.

Speaker 7

Read government now everywhere the draft types of stuff, the Senate, that President, the Vice president, everything is read crips.

Speaker 2

Where y'all at?

Speaker 8

Because right now it's.

Speaker 3

Like around here and I'm sorry West, Let's.

Speaker 1

Talk about this show, big show, peak up better.

Speaker 8

It's a show on Peacock. It's called Eat, Slay.

Speaker 6

Love, Yes, where we eat and just eat.

Speaker 5

But you don't eat for that.

Speaker 6

We eat for our soul and our spirit.

Speaker 5

And our backs and our and our backs.

Speaker 3

We slay all day because Tammy's in the room and Nibba is gonna have a different wig. You better your best, and then we love because that's who God is, That's who we are, and that's what we want to be in this world, and so.

Speaker 9

We need it.

Speaker 6

It's it's it's so necessary for you.

Speaker 8

So wait, y'all were all friends before this.

Speaker 2

Friends.

Speaker 4

It's like, okay, you know, why don't you guys get to know each other?

Speaker 2

Why is that?

Speaker 9

What is the thinking? Because so many personalities.

Speaker 4

Or Nibbia you answer that because it is, we actually have a lot in common. It's ironic that we hadn't already clicked up kind of actually, and yeah, so we just made it work. We were like thinking of like what personalities would I know there's some married to one another, our mom stuff kicking like, this is a dope cute concept for a show, right right, And we're all so different but so alike at the same time, and so so.

Speaker 6

It's like a girls, girls beyond the Girls show.

Speaker 3

This trip was, this was an adult, cathartic, spiritual journey with alcohol.

Speaker 2

A little bit.

Speaker 4

We don't have as much as I would have.

Speaker 5

I'm taking account.

Speaker 3

That bad think it was that you drinking, you know what. But that's a very it's a very different show. There's so many shows on television. You've seen Tammy slay her show, You've seen Nivia slay her shows, you see me slay my show. But this show that Nibbia put together with us to celebrate Nev's birthday, but more so to show the world I believe what true sisterhood looks like, from knowing each other to bonding and growing with each other, to conflict resolution and growing in ourselves.

Speaker 2

Growth.

Speaker 8

Sure, how did you pick the location?

Speaker 2

Right?

Speaker 4

Everybody's like Vietnam? But that's even more the reason. I thought, why you know something a place neither of us had been to? And yeah, it's just like why not?

Speaker 5

It's so non typical?

Speaker 8

Is that why you're picking non typical? So this is your baby, like you came up with this, like this is your idea.

Speaker 4

Yes, I mean I got I didn't do a lot of research though.

Speaker 5

I was.

Speaker 4

I knew I wanted to see the temple and I knew about okay, they have a beach in this part, but I didn't really do my research.

Speaker 2

But it was amazing.

Speaker 4

I got more than what I've would have could have ever expected from.

Speaker 8

Thank God that went well, because that could have went.

Speaker 7

Now.

Speaker 6

Listen, we made sure that God was at the head of all.

Speaker 5

Spearheaded this.

Speaker 3

The devil try to come in there and throw his jabs, but God made sure that we were definitely covered and we're able to entertain more than anything like grow get the glory and you.

Speaker 9

All were like kind of going for different reasons right like.

Speaker 4

So I think ultimately it all was for a reel, like.

Speaker 2

I feel like that today.

Speaker 4

By the way, I didn't expect to take away such personal gifts for ourselves before doing it.

Speaker 10

I know, as we talk to you guys, and I did, I was like telling her, like I listen, I ain't trying to do shows drama.

Speaker 11

I don't want to. I want to.

Speaker 10

We don't want to do that, sister, So it was like everyone we all went with the tensions of listen, we grown, we got a lot of going on, and we just need to decompress and like do with other women who can understand your lifestyle.

Speaker 3

And yeah, and for me, it was very unpaid therapy.

Speaker 5

Like therapist she has fixt an hour and she said, I need it every week.

Speaker 12

So you.

Speaker 8

Assurance sometimes we'll pay for some of that, you.

Speaker 5

Know, the Blue Cross, pull up and pay my therapist.

Speaker 6

Because these ladies I was able to.

Speaker 3

For me, I went on this trip for a spiritual journey. I knew that I wasn't going with girls. I knew I was going with women, and I knew that these were women that had been through life.

Speaker 5

And so.

Speaker 3

I had a little trepidation because I was going through divorce and life wasn't perfect for me at the time. But I feel like God makes no mistakes and he says, write your plans and pencil. So he went ahead and inked this before I even thought about.

Speaker 5

It, like, you know what, let me go.

Speaker 3

But this is not just it's not a vacation for me. This isn't a eat, pray, love journey. And y'all knew that from like day one, for.

Speaker 8

Me, So, so what did you learn?

Speaker 5

I learned so much.

Speaker 3

So the biggest thing I think I took away from Vietnam, given the culture and the experiences in Vietnam, is that everything is a bit slower. And when I went to Vietnam, I went just after deciding just to surrender to God and just let him lead.

Speaker 5

I'm tired of trying to be in control.

Speaker 3

Right, God take the wheel, You got it right, But how does that happen?

Speaker 1

Right?

Speaker 3

So I went to Vietnam and I realized everything was slower so that you can understand and appreciate the process of whatever it is you're trying to acquire. And so for me, it was very educational because I learned how to slow down and appreciate the processes that you have to go through to grow in life.

Speaker 6

To create something, you got to get quiet. So you gotta get quiet. Even trying to get a team made me and Tammy there trying to get.

Speaker 5

A teammate and I'm like, speed it up. It was taking so long. And then I realized, slow down.

Speaker 3

Because if you want their teas better, He's delicious, and if you want something that's better, it might take a little more time.

Speaker 6

Sit down.

Speaker 3

So the biggest thing I learned was to just slow things down and enjoy the process.

Speaker 8

They say divorces, I forget the list, but there's like a list.

Speaker 1

It's like death, uh moving, and like divorce, so like the hardest, the three hardest things.

Speaker 2

It changes. Yeah, and you.

Speaker 3

The ladies had already been through divorce, and so for me, I was twice for you and this was my first time.

Speaker 2

So for me it.

Speaker 3

Was like help me, like, how do we get through it? I see Tammy's like and love and happy and smiling. I'm like, we love it.

Speaker 5

You love your load and you love inspirational.

Speaker 6

Her Bay and her absolutely make sure we cover his face because that's her back.

Speaker 2

His face. I would know who he was.

Speaker 8

Oh he's quiet.

Speaker 1

Did you meet him in Vietnam? No, you didn't meet him in Vietnam? I don't know, but he wasn't there.

Speaker 9

You weren't allowed to have like.

Speaker 2

No, right, Yeah, I definitely would have.

Speaker 12

Girls.

Speaker 2

We did not have any guy.

Speaker 4

But yes, we don't know the length of this new love, but we like the way it looks on her.

Speaker 6

We do get this fresh, like is.

Speaker 1

It You're in the new because the newness is always the best, most fun.

Speaker 11

In two years.

Speaker 10

But for me, I'm more everybody's like, right, I realize it's more.

Speaker 11

I think it's a new space. I'm more as a different version.

Speaker 8

Of myself with this person.

Speaker 11

With this person, like he brings out a different side of.

Speaker 10

It's like, I just you know, being I'm able to be my soft I haven't been able to be the soft meat.

Speaker 2

And what is that?

Speaker 9

What allows you to be soft?

Speaker 10

Being able to trust someone to take the lead, being able to trust someone's guidance, and being able to listen and quiet yourself and listen to what they have to say because you trust that that person what that person is saying, and they're not just talking.

Speaker 3

But he's got centered And that's honestly where you guys, you fell for him.

Speaker 10

Sometimes even when I want to be like, you know, say certain certain things back, I know that a lot of the things that he is saying, they're they're not from him.

Speaker 11

You know what I'm saying, because.

Speaker 13

Say, oh dang, my yes, song about my game?

Speaker 8

You gotta good?

Speaker 3

Even a friend not the prayer And he knew, hey, hey, hey wait, well.

Speaker 8

He knew he's not two years two years.

Speaker 5

A warranty on something.

Speaker 3

Though everybody here it apends like give you buy your house new you can like a pen.

Speaker 12

Still know?

Speaker 4

I consider to you still know, but you know, but that you're in looking of it, so to.

Speaker 1

Speaking, looking to your love life, listening into your love life where you are may.

Speaker 8

What what is the song?

Speaker 2

Give me the song on your space?

Speaker 9

What is the song that defines you.

Speaker 5

With my mad you know the song?

Speaker 2

It's all right on the tip of myself.

Speaker 4

I dedicated to them like a few weeks ago, so I was like, wow, this kind of sums it up for me.

Speaker 2

It was saying how they don't know what we got, but we do.

Speaker 8

So you're in a secret relationship.

Speaker 4

It's a secret, but it's not something I want to broadcast. I don't want to post. I don't want to see. But I mean, you see, it's outside.

Speaker 2

Into them.

Speaker 4

I don't want to bring it and say, hey, here's my I don't I could have done that yeah for a minute now, but I was not this one and it has taken time to develop.

Speaker 2

So I have a different type of respect for it.

Speaker 4

I'm doing this relationship different than I've done any of my Yes, I am.

Speaker 14

Man.

Speaker 10

But it's also when you've been with someone publicly for so many years the public still cannot.

Speaker 11

See you without that person.

Speaker 10

So it's like you don't want to bring that type of energy into your new situation where people constantly comparing your new situation to your old situation, and you know what I'm saying, like it's always, oh, where is it?

Speaker 2

I'll let you better.

Speaker 11

You know, it's like you don't want that.

Speaker 10

So it's like I'm gonna I'm not hiding you see as you see it, but I'm not gonna be like you.

Speaker 8

Know, you're not putting it on because I'm not going to.

Speaker 11

Keep some things to myself.

Speaker 9

So you are the only single one in.

Speaker 5

This let's be let's be honest.

Speaker 3

We have options, right of course, to say when you bolge, you can do what you want. Anybody, any money mouth, you can pick them. My problem is is that for me, I don't want anything just for the sake of having someone. I'm not someone's girl. I'm a wife, I'm a mother, i'm a woman, I'm a boss. So it's very difficult for me to find someone that truly piques my interest and keeps my interest. There are a lot of beautiful men outside, but it's so ghetto outside.

Speaker 1

What's happening in your d M right now? Is this or they're there before you even announced?

Speaker 3

Well, I didn't even know that part of DM existed before. When I was married, I was your wife, Like, I had no clue that that part of the Instagram existed.

Speaker 2

A watch a lot of TV doing it now.

Speaker 5

But I didn't know that side existed.

Speaker 3

So when my friend Lauriel, who I used to do a podcast with, like, showed me the side of dams and then I went down the dams. It is everybody from someone's husband to their child to to just talking about pastors.

Speaker 6

It is like the most and it's the pastors. On Sunday, I just said that, I'm like, yo, say pastor.

Speaker 8

I love your show.

Speaker 3

They love my show, which is like I have an R rated show and I pay a pamp So what are you doing watching this? You should be watching something else? But also shouldn't even bring me to the lord? Lord, I don't know. Dms are so impersonal and being forty, was there anything interesting?

Speaker 9

Was there nothing interesting in the dms?

Speaker 3

I found somebody interesting in the dms, but it's also found I found something interested in the dms. The pictures of yourselves, y'all can keep those. Let them, I mean of your.

Speaker 5

Parts and your anatomies and things. Send them straight to Nibbya. She'll enjoy them. But it's so impersonal.

Speaker 3

According now in twenty twenty four versus like when I met my.

Speaker 8

Ex husband, how long were you married?

Speaker 6

I was with him for ten years?

Speaker 2

Oh my, Sam forgetting that so long.

Speaker 6

So you think about Instagram in twenty fifteen, together.

Speaker 9

Ten years and married?

Speaker 6

How long five?

Speaker 9

Do you feel like that ruins it? Or no?

Speaker 8

You like social media?

Speaker 1

I don't know people that have been together in a relationship for so long and then they get married and then I don't know, something happens.

Speaker 2

You know me, you're married at.

Speaker 3

Nine, Timmy was married at nine for first of all, and second, think the I think the industry is what it was. I think it's just it's a personal growth. And I think in life people have to grow and

you grow together when you grow apart. And for me, I have three young kids and I have vowed to be honest to myself, and I feel like all of us have masks that we hang up in our closets every day when we come in the house, and we put them on before we go out into the world, so the real you sits at home, and I was tired of the real me being at home and being the other me outside. I was like, I want to be the same person, and I had to mask my sadness.

I are my disappointment in my just trying to figure out and I was tired of it.

Speaker 6

I was over it. I was like, I deserved to be happy.

Speaker 3

And I know I'm not the youngest thing, but Fuzy passed away at ninety one. I'm forty, so which means I still got more life to live than I've even lived so far.

Speaker 8

And you are gorgeous.

Speaker 9

Please, But I.

Speaker 6

Mean, isn't it It's right?

Speaker 3

I don't want to I don't want someone to want me because i'm what I do for a living, or because they think I'm cute, Because what if something happens and I'm not cute anymore?

Speaker 5

Then where it's the love?

Speaker 3

R Or if I don't do what I do for a living, and if I don't make the kind of money I make, then where's the love?

Speaker 2

I want someone that like.

Speaker 8

You're looking for that old fashioned love?

Speaker 11

Yeah, that right, she's such a hopeless romantic.

Speaker 2

I am so if what we.

Speaker 12

Have is much more than come, and we have much more than you can see.

Speaker 2

Everybody knows that. And if you ever yourself listens to those lyrics, that's how I feel.

Speaker 8

Okay, Okay, that's a good song. Yeah, sing that song all day.

Speaker 3

It's it's not Reunited by Peaches and Nerd. I'm sorry, reunited and it feels so good.

Speaker 2

That's why.

Speaker 8

That's how all of the.

Speaker 9

That's the song you sing for your boot.

Speaker 4

I didn't sing it for my dedicated so I'm like, these words really spoke to me.

Speaker 2

I heard it like randomly, like a a few months ago.

Speaker 9

I was like, wow, that really did he give you a song back?

Speaker 2

Well, I mean we do music ticket. Oh I'm saying too much. It's in there. But yeah.

Speaker 15

About that song market, oh my god.

Speaker 2

I didn't have the energy to talk about that now.

Speaker 3

But love is about to be absolutely banana yet writing it?

Speaker 9

What are we learning about you?

Speaker 15

Like?

Speaker 9

What is the overall?

Speaker 12

Like?

Speaker 8

What are we going to get?

Speaker 3

And I think what you see in this show that's different than like a lot of other shows. Tammy has been very successful on her shows, and so is Nibia. But I think you know her from that show and it's like from years ago and it's her old life, and you know Nibbia and her old life and what used to be in her world, and you know me from my old life and what used to be. And so this show shows the growth, the maturity, the sisterhood that.

Speaker 5

We've grown into.

Speaker 3

I love that who we are now in life, and I think it helps others realize that they don't have to be stagnant and who they are.

Speaker 8

Is that a thing that gets annoying?

Speaker 1

Like you you have this relationship that people know you for, and then you outgrow it, you move on, but then everywhere you go people ask you about these past relationships everywhere you go still all.

Speaker 11

The time the time.

Speaker 15

And so then, ma'am, mine wasn't televised though, you know, I mean like just about our relationship.

Speaker 4

And there my exes are too high profile. The fathers of my children, however, they've had to live it out like on screen like there we can go watch go home and watch them right now in their old relations You can't do that with mine.

Speaker 2

Different experience.

Speaker 4

I think it gave me a little more freedom, even though I don't know, maybe I will still be using how I am.

Speaker 2

I'm kind of like I.

Speaker 4

Don't damn care on my human being, just like you. I'm kind of a live out loud kind of person. Asks me anything I don't have, you know, it's kind.

Speaker 8

Of except.

Speaker 2

Music.

Speaker 8

I'll make it together.

Speaker 2

They take it. I'm blushed.

Speaker 4

They I can really relate to them, and that aspect I know that must be a whole nother one.

Speaker 2

I kind of ed how to like kind of like.

Speaker 10

I always use Bobby and Witty as a as an example. We will always love Bobby and wit together because Bobby and Whitney is Bobby and Whitney, like you. They were iconic couple. They were they were who they were separately, but they were a force together as well. No matter how dysfunctional was Bobby and Whitney was Bobby.

Speaker 5

And to make him use the bathroom on that reality show, said he.

Speaker 10

But the reason why I say that, though, is because it's like, Okay, you you have that aspect, like even when when he passed away and people will see Bobby with his new wife and they're still you know, they can't see him without willing. But it's like you you have to appreciate the beauty and the art of that, but also be able to to move from that, and you know, and I'm not going to force anything on nobody. But at the end of the day, this is my life, you know, Like it's just you got to get that.

Speaker 8

Yeah, you have to get it out of your head.

Speaker 11

You have your life, you're walking.

Speaker 10

Tommy was the thing, but now Tammy has a new life and it's no longer a part of that, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 11

So I look at it like that, I'm like, I'm not.

Speaker 2

Happy. I am.

Speaker 8

God is good man, Like, so, would you get married again?

Speaker 11

Absolutely again and.

Speaker 2

Again?

Speaker 10

Like friends like, oh, I would never do it again. I was like me, I'll do it again and again again. So I get right, like you know what I'm saying, Like it's it's you get.

Speaker 3

Yeah, I'm a too fragile right now.

Speaker 2

She's saying, Ever, did you see yourself marrying again?

Speaker 6

I'm too fragile to see right now, don't that You know?

Speaker 2

The thing is for me?

Speaker 3

When I got married, I thought that was like my last relationship.

Speaker 6

But I would never like see another man.

Speaker 5

So even now like.

Speaker 8

It's it's it's it's still coming out of that.

Speaker 5

It's difficult.

Speaker 3

And then when you see people, I see people for more than like just the things that I used to look for and a man because having been a wife, a homemaker, provider, a worker, a mom, when you look at a man now, it's like, what do you know about really keeping a woman?

Speaker 6

Do you have children who are what kind of father are you? What kind of ex husband?

Speaker 9

Are you different?

Speaker 2

All of those things?

Speaker 5

And then I just hit forty.

Speaker 3

So it's that space of like your tolerance for bs, it's so like, so thank you and my comfort with who I am if it's fine, Like the way I dance if you don't like me is the same as.

Speaker 12

If you do.

Speaker 6

I don't care.

Speaker 11

You're looking for something when you're not.

Speaker 2

And I'm not lucky, and I wasn't.

Speaker 8

I was just like, I can't wait to see the show?

Speaker 9

Is this all conversations that.

Speaker 6

All the show as well?

Speaker 2

She's a comedian and she don't tell her Oh sorry.

Speaker 8

This okay?

Speaker 4

So we have and I wish you know, I wouldn't say bad, but yeah, yeah, real life moment, which I'm glad it's in a way being shown because it brought up conversation that a lot of times when you have a confrontation or an issue and you can talk about it, then you just get a different perspective, even if your mind doesn't things differently.

Speaker 2

And I don't see anything wrong with that. I think that's very healthy and I've learned to.

Speaker 8

He's grown from the So you're not fighting?

Speaker 9

Is anybody fighting on the show?

Speaker 2

That kind of show? Thank god, neither one of us wanted to.

Speaker 5

I want to find No, that's not no.

Speaker 11

I have gotten.

Speaker 10

Gotten so much peace from like I mean, you know, when you're in a different space in life, that's not where you're going to people, you almost can go back there, but you're like, oh yeah, I.

Speaker 6

Know you're tested, like the Lord tells you every day.

Speaker 13

But no.

Speaker 10

What I will say, though, is like I said in all the other interviews, I took away from this trip like I took her. She's very vulnerable and she's very like but you're so but but you but you don't try to hide.

Speaker 3

You have to be I said, if you lie to yourself, you're gonna lie to other people. You have to be honest with what you got going on. If not, you're gonna stay in the abyss. And I did not want to stay there.

Speaker 11

For me, I'm more of a like tough cookie.

Speaker 10

I'm like more like you know, like like I don't cry, like try to, you know, like she's always so tough, and she taught me how to, like, you know, it's okay to be vulnerable, Like it's okay to like let your guards down for people.

Speaker 2

She didn't want to cry. She was like, wait a minute, and I like that was like, why are you being He.

Speaker 8

Was like, I'm not like that very loving.

Speaker 2

You said that she was not loving you. She was like like, why are you crying right now?

Speaker 5

Because but she's my daughter is a cancer.

Speaker 11

My daughter is a cancer.

Speaker 10

So I'm used to the emotional like my daughters are, like mom, you're so you're just so tough, like you know, like I just as a part of growing up. And then when you're so used to have to be the the the leader, the provider, the the one that's there for everybody, you don't have time to cry.

Speaker 11

It's like all right, I'm crying, you know what these tears like, you know, like.

Speaker 8

Break you get to see the show, Yeah it kind of yeah.

Speaker 10

It gets me more like I'm even to today like kind of like I don't just watching her as a woman and seeing like how she maneuvers and you know, and I'm like, oh, wow, you know, damn, I.

Speaker 8

It's okay to you.

Speaker 10

You don't week not being that way. And then with her nia jokes about everything she does not take the things that you would take serious.

Speaker 2

Was gonna crack up. Yeah, and so it is.

Speaker 11

And it's like I love to laugh too, but it's like certain things. I'm so I'm like, you know, like what like just always uh you know, like none, you're wrong, I.

Speaker 3

Laugh, you're but you are also like the protector, the provider to make sure everybody's straight, like you're very even though you little sense of the crew, you still like, yes, I.

Speaker 11

Took that from them. Man, you know that was stuffing.

Speaker 10

I took away from the trip that that that's real life, fake stuff stuff. I really took that with me on my journey home.

Speaker 14

Like now I can't wait to watch Wait, so it's only three episodes because it was so instead of making a show that was fake, if we wanted to make show, here's eight episodes and so let's like make this and we have to do this.

Speaker 2

Not that's not what this was.

Speaker 5

This was a show that we.

Speaker 3

Literally documented four women going on a spiritual journey, with the emphasis of celebrating one woman in particular who was Nivia and her journey around the sun for another year, her birthday, and everyone had their life. The one young lady who's not here in London, beautiful woman. She's from London and we were just getting to know her. She's thirty five, no kids, no man, with.

Speaker 4

A career, a different woman, which is so beadwful because I what I loved about what life would.

Speaker 6

Be at like at thirty five years in my bank account.

Speaker 5

Let me tell you, I thought she was.

Speaker 3

Going to go out there and turn up, But the reality is the three of us had so much in common, having come up since basically young adults, teenager in this industry, living as outsider.

Speaker 4

I think she did initially, but she but we each had private moments with her when we did connecting, and then it just went wrong.

Speaker 2

She decided okay, But it's such.

Speaker 6

A learning experience.

Speaker 2

Watched this.

Speaker 9

You think there'll be more episodes, I mean more different like seasons.

Speaker 2

Everybody you want to interfere.

Speaker 3

For something you allowed to treat someone.
