Transcript

I'm so excited about yesterday. For me. First of all, I'm going to take full advantage of this opportunity to sit across from you guys, I mean with your friends. I've been around you, but I don't bother you too much about golf. Uh because all day every day, people probably asking you about golf. Right that's exactly right now. We love it, though it's not bothering it. It's not exciting to be I mean you you are like to post the children for especially in the culture for golf right now.

It's crazy. I was just we were just talking like right now, you got a rapper that has its own golf shoo out, you know what I mean with Travis Scott in his shoe that just recently came out. So it's crazy drop because I don't have him yet. And I told them I need those Amusic drop. I still don't have them. It hasn't dropped, but I have November drop soon. November it's in a week and a half. Yes, three things coming soon. So we got a So Travis got a

sneaker. I'm surprised Cal doesn't have a golf sneaker yet. I'm surprised to thirty seconds away. Yeah, thirty seconds away. They do have a drop coming in November. They got something they've been cooking up, so I wouldn't be surprised. But the originators, Yes, the east Side Golf collab. We got some stuff for you. So that's a head covers. Well, yeah, this is here, bag my sneakers. Where are where did you come here without my golf sneakers? You? Hang on, hang on,

it's your size. What's the problem by size? Besides you wear I'm a girl like, no excuse, no excuse us? How dare you? How dare you? This is a really nice bag. But I'll save the bag for when you send the shoes over Gona hand delivered like Joe's been doing with his air. That's what was today. Don't be so disappointed. I know they can tell that. Just really just a right now that Angie is love trust me, all right? I got some cute little golf covers golfer too,

though. I have a shoebag, but with no shoes in them. Next time we got you, won't you want people to see the new shoe, the new beautiful collaboration that you guys have to see it on your page and do another special. Okay, good, but to make sure you have those sides, we won't ever be invited back up. This is it. This is one to make the rest of this interview, this conversation, a

lot to talk about. Well, there's a lot a lot going on within the coach which is really exciting because even if you would have asked me, I'm sure you I mean, you guys knew about this. You've been golfing since what age six years old? Six? Yeah, which at that time

now not such a big deal. Back then, you were not the norm I would imagine on the golf course, right, No, No, I mean all of our friends were always playing basketball always, I mean back on the east side of Atlanta, and I mean I'm just like all the way on the other side of Atlanta the country club practicing sometimes that the city golf course, and some of my friends can't come out there. But they just don't seem like they just don't like golf. I mean, it's not attractive

at the end of the day. Yeah, you know, why is that? I mean, at the end of the day, like culture, you know, well, really golf is just uncultured, you know, I mean, it doesn't have a lot of things that we're interested in. So I mean, that's how we get the culture in, and we gotta first make something that they're interested, well attracted to. You know. Once we do that, then all of a sudden you could take advantage of the game and you know, spread your network, you know, I mean, and really

learning about yourself at the end of the day. Yeah. Yeah, it's such a beautiful game. And I'm so mad that my one regret is finding it so late. I wish I would have. I wish I would have been golfing like you guys since kids. But there's really something beautiful about it. So I love that you're opening it up to so many different people and adding culture in it to bring people what we're all about. And then you

look at like our brand. I feel like we came in with the culture right, like we were being authenticated by Chris Paul, Devin Booker, you know, Jason Tatum. You know, the list goes on, guys like Calid, everyone like from that space, like they hip hop, the music. They all gravitated to the brain, gravitated to the logo and what that meant to them. And we're like all together collectively ushering into this new era

of golf. So even Travis, like at his first golf out and that he did a couple of years back, we were there, so it's amazing to see how things are continuing to evolve. Yeah, and I mean, look like I said, from I saw who else is Quavo? I saw qua? You know, it's so funny. As I've known Quabo, usually I see him either at an event or like when he's here at the station, and he's always like in artist mode and he'd be on his chill ship, which is not the wrong with that. I expect that from I mean,

that's what I want from my rapp up. But something about when I saw him on the golf course, he just seems so like like like he was having fun and I don't know, it just was a different energy. I loved seeing him out there. Yeah, I mean that's you know, being out, uh you know, first being outside up a little bit, but doing something where you can feel the sun and just have a good time with your friends a couple of drinks. I mean it looked good too.

So that's how I came to the game, is that somebody one of my girlfriends, was like, Yo, come come golf with us. I was like, I don't golf golfs I didn't know. I was unaware come golf. She was like, who cares, you're gonna drink, We're gonna drive the carts beautiful outside. I said, all right, good, I'll go. I was terrible then, but then I was interested and I had so much fun. I took a couple of lessons and then I thought, oh

maybe I could be decent one day. I could be decent. You're good to drive arranged down in Miami. You hit like a good three or four drives were My drive is pretty My drive is pretty consistent, strong driving fact. But that's me been being like seriously at it for the past year and have like three times a week type. So it takes a long time. I mean, you guys know that to be good. But what do you

think that I don't know. Are you seeing a change, because I feel like I'm seeing a change of just interest within the culture around the sport and what's happening. Yeah, I mean, it's it's crazy because so many, I would say now people want their own golf tournament. I mean it's so many different radio stations in Atlanta. They want their own golf tournament, you know, to where now you go out there and they have their whole crew, you know, and they can start their own kind of movement, but

it starts out with a golf tournament first. And athletes the same way. We've been hit up by so many athletes that just want something for their foundation or they want to show everybody that they can actually play, you know, that is something that they do. I mean, it's golf is just taking

off in all different directors. What do you think the thing is? Because when people ask me, like you go, I find it very hard to explain what the where the addiction comes from and what the you know I For me, I say, it's like it's almost like a meditation for me because I don't golf is the only time not doing multitasking. RH It's the only how I'm locked into this one thing. And so if you give yourself an opportunity to be just locked into one thing, it's like freeing. So when

you go back out and you work it. So that's it for me, But what what do you you got? You guys clearly love it, Like what is the thing for a non golfer that's watching golf, that's watching this I would say the beautiful thing is you have to part of it is you need to go discover it for yourself, right, Like it's gonna mean something different to each and every one of us, but we all love the game itself, right, And that's a very broad term, but I feel like

that's the beauty in it. Where some people it is stressfuliever some people it's a way to connect with people, network, like the list goes on. Some people it's a way to make a living, you know what I mean, they do this professionally. But I think at the core of it, what I think unites everyone that picks up the game is we all recognize how difficult it can be, and we can appreciate anyone that has the ability to hit a decent shot or where they intended to go. There's a there's a

respect, yeah, a mutual respect for sure. It's kind of like when you're out and you give somebody that head now and you see you know, you see somebody like I see you, I understand, I see you exactly respect to someone getting up there hitting it because, as you know, there's no shortcuts to it, no God, you gotta have all the things that

you've learned intact every time you hit a golf shot. So, yeah, did you see d Wade make that hole in one of the other bro come on, yeah, my first hold in one baby, that was the thing. It's crazy. I think it was a polo, not the shirt. So you want to get a hold in one, go to Eastside golf dot com and get that ship right now. It was the shirt. It was a ship. Wow, it was a legendary moment. That's an iconic hole in golf. And they had it filmed, you know what I mean,

camera Like, come on, I saw him this past weekend. We were at the event together that Google was doing, and this first thing I did. When I saw him, I was like, yo, he was like it was crazy, Like he's still on the high from there. I believe it. I mean, it's like the equivalent is like championship buzzer beater. Yes, one hundred percent. That's crazy, like a like a basketball championship buzzer beating winning shot right from the back right. Would you say yes,

it is equivalent? No? I mean when you look at the statistics, is crazy on getting a hold in one? Yeah? Have you gotten one? I got one at thirteen, Yeah, I've had seven. No you haven't. I haven't gotten one since I was twenty one. Now any of them on tape because you know what I mean. No, So we don't know. That's my big, big fear because I play sometimes a lot by myself, my back. The one day it'll happen. It was closed, but I don't know. Wow, well you gotta get it. You got

so d Wade, Actually he does. He just he's officially into the east Side Golf holding one club. That's amazing, you know what I mean. Yes, so we have a couple of members of the folks that have gotten holding ones in the east Side Side. It was crazy that the moment was nuts. You guys have had a lot of great moments. A really good documentary that you guys did shout out to executive producers called Grails on Hulu and

Hulu. They can still see it on who if you want to get the backstory about like how they even created this business and their collaboration with Jordan, which is which is like groundbreaking and you know I would show you, but I don't have a I will show you one of their collaborations, but there's nothing in the bag. Oh look, there's some good golf. It's not the shoes in the bag, but you know what I mean, it's the shoot. The demand is high for the shoes. So yeah, clearly that's

why she beating us up over it. That doesn't mean, Angie, you're not going to have them, no respecting my own home. In my own home. It is all love chatting me here up anyway. So Hulu they can see the documentary, yes, and then the sneakers clearly they sell out, you can't get them. But there is a website for the gear, yes. And then what else? What are some of the other initiatives or things you want people to be up on? Yeah, so we do have

an app as well. It's like trending like number fifty. Yeah. Right now looking at starting east Side Golf Foundation, So definitely digging more into helping more HBCUs create their golf programs, also youth initiatives, and also potentially starting the east Side Golf Club, so a golf course who most likely in Atlanta, so I mean maybe if like a year two years away, but definitely

working with Mayor Andre Dickens down there to make that happen. I love the idea, and you guys always whenever I see you, I feel like you did this at the Pitching and cc Sabati does an annual one him an Amber for Pitching Foundation. I feel like you work with the kids at that at that event too, right space. I love that because as somebody who wish I would have started golfing so much earlier. I had been so much better,

had so much joy. It's just like a you know, I just for me, I wish I would have found it younger, but I never You grew up in New York, in Brooklyn, the Bronx, you're not golf. Yes, it feels like that's over there for them. You don't ever feel like I belong there. And also there's a thing that you have to be rich to be to play golf, which is really not true. I've played, I've played in plenty of public courses. I played in the Bronx, I've played in Compton, I've played in all types of courses that

don't cost a lot to play at. You can get clubs that are either used or cheaper, or there are ways to you know, involve yourself or to do the sport exactly right. That's one of the initiatives that we had So we beta tested it last year in Memphis where it's called the east Side Golf Community Day, and we literally go into the community and buy out a golf course, a municipal public course, and we allow your first interaction on

a golf course and not have to deal with any finances. And it's more of like to your point, you begin to discover these things where it's like, oh, it on may only cost me twenty thirty bucks to go play, or if I don't have clubs, they may have clubs for you rental sex rental, or a bucket of balls may only be five, ten, twenty bucks, you know what I mean. Not this whole theory of like, man, I gotta have two thousand dollars worth of equipment and they've got

to go join a golf course. It's like nah. And oftentimes these things can be, you know, right under our noses. It's like they're hidden in plain sight. So that's one of the initiatives that we'll be launching it. So next year we're gonna do it in four different cities. We're taking it too. The City of Augusta will be in Detroit, We'll be back in men Fish And they were going to do it in Atlanta as well next

year. I think it's a dope thing for parents to hear it too, because if you're looking for things to involve your kids in, yep, that's definitely one hundred percent. And then and again with the boom of it, there's a lot of different golf programs. The biggest noticeable one junior programmers out there is the first T which we both have been you know, affiliated with it in some way, shape or form, you know, either coming up

through it. I was on the board, he was doing some important one in Atlanta, so definitely very important to expose it to him at an early age. And often what about Yeah, and often and at an early age you see them little kids out there watching them, which I could do that. You gotta get it young, You gotta do it young. Yeh. Yes, How is the golf the inner workings of them? Because you know, resistance to change sometimes? What types of walls are you bumping into or

have you or you hurdles are you having to jump off? That's real? I mean so I mean even when we came out to honestly, when we came out with these shoes, I mean the collection I called the collection. I named the collection Change Period nineteen sixty one collection because ninety Well, first off, nineteen sixty one was the year that the PGA lifted their Caucasian only

clause sixty one wild sixty two years ago. So and I mean prior to that women and also if you weren't a white man, you couldn't be a part of the PGA. And then even to take it five years back then at six years prior to that, nineteen fifty five, black people or if you weren't white, you couldn't play golf in the state of Georgia. So they actually I mean there was a Supreme Court ruling where Alfred tub Homes went to the Supreme Court and won. So then black people, in all diverse

people could play golf in the state of Georgia. But to come out with these shoes, I mean, we're not only battling. I would say, the it's golf at the end of the day. There are types of people that you know, don't see the game is being broken. You know, don't see the game as being something that is uh doesn't need to improve, it's already worth you know, industry is eighty billion dollar industry. Why does

it need to go to one ten or one twenty. We're good where we are, but with us, we feel as though we could take the game much further. And with these shoes it shows how much further well where we were, So now we know how much further that we can go. We know we didn't have an opportunity before, but now that we know we didn't have the opportunity, how we're being getting intentional moving forward. So a lot

of people they don't want to see that. You know, it's it's okay, you don't wish some people would just say that, but you know, we're here to at the end of the day, move the culture forward in golf love yeah, and I think too with showing them that it is not disruptive or it's not the stereotypes that they would. You know, again, a small mind would try to capitalize it or try to say like, oh

well, we can't have that cause it's gonna take away from something. And as you see now, people play with their music, you know, all the time, right, Obviously you need to have that a respectable volume because there is certain people that may not be a fan. But at the same time, and golf you're not on top of each other anyway, right my car, I stay with g Z my car, and the music of my

car is not the norm. But I find that when people like you know, sometimes your little carts, they meet at a certain hole, like that hole's turning here. So those little spots when I'm playing hip hop, like loud and aggressive hip hop, you know, I'm not, I find that they like it. It's always like oh, like I don't know, it just adds. It does add. But again it's like the tradition of it, like that was so like shonned upon it. It's like for no reason.

It's like somebody having a rule that you have to wear a sport coat in a certain room. It's not like the room is being disrespected or like you can't function. It's just how it's historically been in the off is like that. A lot of it is never a real purpose as far as why you couldn't do something. It was just someone said, hey, this needs

to be the rule. And so if you take it back to sixty one, as O was saying, like that's not that long ago and they just had the white only rule, then imagine what are the other little small rules that still kind of need to be broke, because look, there's still golf courses today that women are not allowed to be members. That's wild. Where are they? Who do I call? No? Seriously? Is that true? Where is it like private ones? Yeah? Private ones like men's only.

Yeah, men's only, And like you said, they're private. And so it's like it kind of yeah, that's why so got a long way to go. But I think that's what makes it so exciting is the upside of that, right, Like you're a new golfer. Everyone's starting this new golf journey and it's like, man, you're going to have a whole entire life and because you can play it for a long time and your kids and your kids kids, and like, yeah, that's what excited my sons.

My son's in Yes, Yeah, I'm so happy that he got He got it younger than me, and he's nice. He's better than I just came in here. You're not going to just do that to me. That's what it's about. Yeah, what about Kalid's uh input, Well, I mean, what how is the golf the inner golf world reacting to that. I mean, I'm sure you guys from the culture it's cool, but like what's the I don't know what's the chatter in the golf world about kalods No.

I think, you know, when he came onto the scene, everyone was like, is he for real? Right? Because I think it was just like, all right, is it? The trend is a fab? And credit to him. He's out there religiously, is a golf junkie. He's swinging before he gets on the plane. When he was landing in the Hampton, He's like, bring me my club. So it's like he's playing all

these courses. So I think now majority of folks are definitely embracing it, just because I think I think that was the biggest question that everyone had initially, like is he really gonna be with it or is this for a moment And he's been playing, he got the thing in the back yard, already's out there with his kids, And I think that's what excites us the most is to see the bond and the moments that he's creating with his kids out on the golf course. That's that's what our brand is all about, you

know what I mean. And he was an early adopter of us. He was he's actually in our docuseries and like I just love to almost go back. And I look at the conversation we had with him then and then about golf, and he was kind of like, you know, the beginning stage, playing a little bit. But to see him now like he's all in, which we love. He's on the cover of Golf, which is why I know that has to so I see, I know that has to pin

somebody off. Somebody been golfing their whole life, they've been playing pro, the PGA Tours, and then there's calid on the on the cover of Golf. I mean, I love it, but it's somebody what I'm saying. I'm sure there's just people that are pissed up about the Travises right now, right because it's just like he's a rapper, does he play golf? This? That and the theory. But it's like, at the end of the day, Travis has so many fans, and the sneakers have so many fans,

and now you're bringing them into golf. Why are you please? Called's got thirty million followers, please, Like That's how we looked at it in our brand, right, like we want to be that intersection, cause it's like if Kallu's got you golf and hopefully you wearing the east Side Golf polo if Travis got you golf and hopefully you wearing the east Side Golf whatever. You know what I mean, Like, how can we be that through line

and continue to be a part of your journey? So I feel like the people that don't like it are just again it's that traditional, small minded and that's not what you know, That's not what we're all about. No, I get that. What is the number one? So if somebody's watching this now and thinking, maybe are you thinking it amazing? Is it a thought? Perhaps you're thinking, Okay, they're having a thought. So if somebody has that little thought like could I play this? It seems so hard?

What is the what is the first thing? First? That I think the first is you would need to one either try to find a local golf course near you or driving range, and then you will want to find a local PGA professional those to teach you the basics. Teach you the basics and ask them for like a bundle right to see if you can get a bundle on lessons. I know when I was coming up through the PGA, we used to do they used to have like get golf ready or whatever, and it

would be like three lessons for like one hundred and twenty bucks. There's so much stuff online now too, by the way, Yeah, you gotta be careful with the stuff online. It's a little nuts. Yeah, it's too much. A lot. It is a lot. It is a lot. It is a lot. But it's nothing like going out there taking the time, because like you said, it's peaceful. Some of it is just the journey to the golf course and like once you get there. So here,

here's what I do. Because I pride myself because I found this so late that I pride myself in introducing to people to it. So I will take like you guys, I would actually be one of the few people because people won't do it because they don't have the time. You know, they don't want to waste you don't want the people. I don't do it all the time, but I take people who have never played the same when somebody took

me. So I'll take you one time. I'll let you put a little, just a little, just enough to get a feel for it out there, and then I would tell you how the game goes from the beginning to the end, from the basics. This is a part five. You have five chances to get it in there to make part just the super basic one on one introduction. So I do that. I've done that for a lot of people. Jamie Cally. I took out to the golf course one time. I have like text as he fat Joe's daughter. I took it out.

We did the thing, Tiffany, No, I got a whole bunch of people out there. So that's the way I do it. I take you out, I just tell you the basics. Let you hit a couple Joe Button. I took Joe, but the first time that was great. He actually he actually hit a couple of amazing putts and a decent drive, but he was frustrated and awkward as he went and got a full outfit together. And then when I say, if you liked it, go take a

lesson or two and then we'll try it again. That you could do the thing because you don't want to keep going and not know how to hold the club. Probably not. And I'm not advanced enough to teach anybody golf like that. No idea. You're out here as this golf game is growing. Not for nothing. She has been coming here almost every day with a new golf story. Absolutely, thank you for growing the game. I believe it. I know what it's done for me, and you know, I know

what how I love. So I always feel like if I could tell somebody and they catch it earlier than then, you know, And even if you have a bad day, even if you're not good, just being outside the environment, fresh air, even a bad day on the golf course is a good day out outside. But that's that's the beauty in it right where it's like us coming up here having the conversation about golf and it being authentic. It's not it's not like why are y'all up there talking about golf and it's

like, no, like you really play golf. These are people that are relevant and hip hop that are playing golf. It's it's becoming a conversation. Our leaders in this space are playing golf. So it's a beautiful thing for us to be kind of how these worlds are colliding and we're right in the middle. And I think people also know you as an authentic person, so you're not just up here just you know, No, I'm not golfing for

nobody. For me, it's like for me, I'm not doing it to be cool, to be down like I'm doing it because you can't by the way that, like you said, it only lasts you a week or two because it's so hard. Yes, you either love it and fall and get it or you know, exactly definitely falling in love. I'm like a psychopath. No, it really is that it's crazy. But do you still have that feeling or does it go away like because you've been golfing for so long.

No, I'll have I mean, the reason that I started Each Side Golf was because I couldn't find any sponsors. I wanted to turn pro and golf, but I couldn't find any sponsors. So I was like, why not take the entrepreneur route and sponsor myself start a company. So I created the logo. It was me, I was gonna put this on my polo in my bag, and then one thing led to another. He was like, yo, you need to put that on a T shirt. End up turning into an entire brand. But my passion is in this game, Like

I mean, I intend on turning back pro next year. This is the reason that I mean, I'm creative director for the company. But the reason that I do this is to eventually move away from the business, not totally, but to a point where I could play in professional golf tournaments. I mean, this game has done so much for me and really raised me, you know in certain facets in my life, whether that's corporate wise, whether that's when it comes to my circle. I mean introducing me to people that

really changed my life. So, I mean, I owe the game so much. I want everybody to play it. I'm glad you're playing it. I'm glad you love it, you know, And I mean just even taking it further than where it is, like really showing this, showing people what they can get out of it, That's what I truly want. So it's not going to go away. I'm going to feel like this like forever. Absolutely, Yeah, it's not going nowhere. Yeah, I mean I love

playing. I had my moments right Like, I mean, if I could, I would play every day, though I just you know, we have priorities. But for me, it's like I have my windows, right, like I'll be like deep into where I get it going, and if I have an event to play, that's what that's what I really get up for.

Because generally speaking, like I can go play and I'm decent a golf but like if I have like if I have a partner, Like if I'm playing in a match and I know somebody's relying on my skill level, then I feel like I need to tune up because I know their expectation is going to be hot high. Yeah yeah, but that's when I start practicing. So I was part of this event called the Nexus Cup, had a chance to meet Tiger Woods. It was like this dope experience. Wow, we

end up winning it. So that does he know the work that you guys are doing one hundred percent? He's aware, his team is aware of what we got going on. You know, we talked to the Tiger Woods Foundation a couple of times, and I know he's really integrated on that front as well. So he's just definitely Like even they just had an event out in San Francisco and one of the guys that was hosting, Gavin Parker. He was all in east Side and people that showed up to wearing the east Side.

So it's like it was there a Tiger Woods Junior Invitational. So his son was there, Charlie Woods and his niece or his cousin. What's her name thene Aaron Hick's wife. I met her at a thing and I didn't know she also me being so stupid, I didn't know who she was. I was with a bunch of girls there we're talking and we're like, ki can she was she used to live in the neighborhood. Now she doesn't,

and she was like. We were talking about golfing and she was like, she was like, oh, you guys are golf and I was like, yeah, I just started, and I take and I was like, you know, I take people who are new all the time. I definitely invited. I could give her a few. My girlfriends were like she was like, she was like, no, no, I play. I said, also, you know how to play? She was like yeah. One of my girls was like, she's exactly wait for a golfer for a minute.

And that's like you're reading Steph Curry and being like, hey, I know shot that's going down there, down there. It was. She was very gracious and sweet about it. Yeah. No, But I think that's also interesting topic too when you really start digging into it. The lack of diversity too. Just on the LPGA tour, Yea on the Women's tour, there's only been I want to say ten in total, maybe even just qualified played,

and she's a part of that number. But I think like Sadena, you have Chyenne, there's a yeah, so it's like one handful yeah, yeah, And I think it's only another handful that have ever played. That's why I said, I think, like ever, there's only been like ten minutes late for me. It's probably too late for me, right, But if I keep going in like ten years, could I do like a super senior or something like that. Seven When I'm like seventhy, I'll be ready.

Let's do it. No, we need more women, you're right, especially diversity for women. Yeah, for sure. I mean we're excited. We definitely all you want to talk a little about the women's line we got coming, yeah, yeah, so definitely working with a woman designer as well, hired a woman designer for the company. And I mean at the end of the day, when you look at golf and when you look at well, first off, when you look at fashion, who really kind of runs

that, it's more diverse women that run that. But then when you look at golf, who's never been targeted, it's diverse women. So it's this entire open lane. If you were to take the time out, there's literally two brands or three brands that I can go to that I'm like, I can maybe find something cute, it's not and then it's really not that cute

yeaheah. So there's a full open space for that. Yes, yes, And it has a long way to go because it goes back to what we talked about earlier, were like some women are this golf course is still today that don't even allow it, right, So it's like it's fighting against that and then having something there for them when they arrived, And it's the same thing for us. It's just you know, being in the culture right that

they've kept it out for so long. It's like we're trying to make sure that when you do arrive that it is a good experience, you know what I mean, Because there are people that want to play the game, but it's like it's like spending your money at a restaurant. If you go and it's not good, I'm not going back there. Yeah, I don't have to spend my money here. So it's like, you know, you need

good pros to buy into it to understand that. Are you seeing more diversity in men's and men's professional I even, I mean it's still there, still at the highest level, but there's I mean there's an APGA tour that that that you got a ton of folks coming and then just teaching you seeing it just personalities, influencers like and even I would say the sports leagues see the

value in golf. I mean, we have an NBA licensing deal and a Major League Baseball licensing deal, and both of those operations saw how many of their athletes actually play the game and how we spoke authentically to really their stories. Really, they loved everything that we did as far even just being here. I mean, you know how many athletes want to watch this podcast just

I mean it's just some I know. I know for a fact, so many people in the golf world they have never seen golf being presented like this. But then so many people in all of these other different cultures and societies. I mean, it's they've never seen golf presented like this. So now we just get an opportunity to, I mean, get these people out on

the golf course and get them comfortable at the end of the day. I mean, if they if they look and fly, you know, then this is the time that they're going to go out there and finally try it, you know. I mean, but that's always been the hurdle. It's never been attractive to nobody that's in culture. So we're getting that opportunity, especially women. Now we're getting that opportunity to get more women out on the golf course so they can take advantage of the things that this sport offers. It's

like relationships. I mean, sometimes you know, you're not going to be able to meet that CEO. I mean, because it have to know this one person, have to know this person. But I need only five minutes for coffee. But if you play golf, you can get five hours with him. You know. That's the whole I mean. This this game is sometimes you can be used as almost like a cheat code. Yeah, you know, I haven't found that yet. Maybe I don't talk to people,

so I don't really I'm not really talking too too much. That's because but I know people. A lot of people do testify to that's because you talk for a living, right, you get a chance to go out there and you can enjoy it in your own vein concentrating. Please don't talk to me, right, now, but that's the beauty in it. I think I yelled at Brooklyn Johnny the other day because we're playing at the ball or Alert tournament and they put Brooklyn Johnny on my team and you know, he's I

love Johnny, He's cloud. He's like, yeah you should, And I was like, if you don't stop talking to my back, honey, whereas other people are engaging conversations. You know. Now, Brooklyn just posted a swing the other day. He actually was playing really well. Yeah, yeah, he just he's just loud on the course. He's louder than I like on of course he's having Gilmour on the course right anyway, all right, so what do people need to do inside golf dot com? Yes, and

get the app and get the app. It's east Side Golf. Definitely excited. Yeah. Also look first on Hulu. The the show is the docu series. It's called Grills When Sneakers Change the Game, and it, like you said, it shows our story from the origination of the brand, but then all the way to coming out with six pair of different Jordan brand shoes collaboration shoes. So you spend time with Mike, I have no I can tell you it's okay. That doesn't make it any less little partnership. He

don't. Nobody has spent a lot of time with Mic. So it's okay. You hang out with Wrench, you probably hang out. Who's your guy at Jordan you have a guy. You probably have a guy. Yeah, Rech is that guy. A lot of guys have a lot of guys. Jordan's brand. That Mike, you don't really might be in his own little bag. He definitely. You haven't golf with him. You haven't seen him to that day that's coming, Come on, that's gonna happen. No,

no, no, But that's the thing. We've seen him at the golf course at you know, at the grove, like we've been out there. We chopped it up with him there, things of that nature. How's that swing? His swing? Yeah, from the last time I said it was good, it was consistent. You know, the ball golf snob. He just hit me with the golf snob. But here's here's our theory too. You swing your swing right, so it's not about how pretty it is.

Can you get it in the hole. So like that's the whole thing, and like the way him does his whole we know somebody to play with him. It's like it's his own little world. They have large groups that they go out So typically you would play four, they might play eight. Right, there's a lot of you know, action happening and they go out there to slim best. It's a lot of it's a lot of it's a lot of things going, but it's just go go get the snickers, all the

things. Grads keep growing. I'm going to hit you guys for tips. Please help me know we appreciate you. Thank you sneakers. I'm gonna write because y'all was today, that is with this empty box. Appreciate
