Welcome to the Retail Success Club. I'm Allie Dee. Today I am going to talk to you about one thing I want you to do today that's going to set you up to become a seven figure business. This is something that I feel like is usually not really talked about in terms of what it actually takes to grow a seven figure business. Remember, I've done this multiple times, so I have multiple seven figure businesses.

I look back and I always evaluate what are the things that got me to this point because I wanted Just pass the knowledge on to you because I feel like a lot of times we get really, really hyper focused on such nitty gritty details, which I love. But so much of building a six figure business comes back to the big picture. And that's what I want to dive into more today. More about the big picture, the big vision. And actually what this is called is Your mission may feel a little blah.

It may not feel as glamorous as going viral on TikTok, but it will be way more important than anything you could do when you're building the foundation for a seven figure business. And this is the deal. This Same thing for all my friends who own seven figure businesses, for all of the major boutiques, major online stores, major e commerce operations, whatever type of business you run, it comes back to your ability to grow it will be your ability to clearly see your big picture.

So what I said was this is, this is known as your mission. And a lot of times when people think of mission, they think of something like, Oh, you know, Saving the world or solving the world's problems or getting rid of hunger. And those are mission statements, but we can dial those back to be obviously important to things that are important to our own businesses. So I don't want you to get overwhelmed thinking about, okay, well, wait, what's my mission? I don't have a mission.

We'll talk about all that in this episode of the podcast and kind of walk you through how to figure that out. But the main thing I want you to know is that you must have a mission. And the reason why is because we can get really hyper focused on every single dollar, every single sale, every single tiny step, which, you know, I love strategy. I love teaching you how to do things. It's why I started the retail success club.

But this, this part of it is what's going to grow your business in the long run. All the other strategy leads up to what is your mission. So what something that I really want to tell you is you can't really get to the big picture. You can't really get to thousands of dollars in sales every day, every week, every month. If you don't have a mission, because you'll be hyper focused on the things that won't get you there and will actually keep you safe. stuck in the same place or even cause burnout.

And this is what happens with so many businesses is that before the first year's even over, they're like, I'm over this. I can't get this done. Like every single day I'm trying to make a sale. Where's my next dollar coming from? Why isn't this piece of inventory selling? How can I get more money, more money, more money? This is a surefire path to burnout and exhaustion. And I see it all the time.

But the good news is, if that's the case, up to this point, we can totally change that right here, right now in this podcast so you can actually start seeing seven figures in your future. This could literally be around the corner from you when you make the certain tweaks and changes to your mindset, your strategy, all the things that I teach you in here and inside the trendsetter membership, it all goes back to building you a seven figure business.

So just so you know, with me and my seven figure businesses. I, I've never, I've never started any business actually with the idea of making money. And I used to actually be super embarrassed by this because I thought, well, shouldn't I be more focused on the money? Isn't that what quote unquote a real business owner would be focusing on the dollars and cents every single day? I never have focused on that.

And you know, if I'm getting real, real honest here, I didn't even know that I hit my first Seven figures in sales until months after it happened. Months when I was like, oh crap, we just made our first million dollars. Let's celebrate. But I was so focused on the big picture and the mission, and I knew the sales were coming in, but I wasn't overly focused on the exact dollar amount. And so when we finally hit our first million. And I was like, Oh my gosh, here we go.

I, I was like a little bit embarrassed that I didn't know this had already happened because I felt like, geez, you know, a true leader would know this and me are a true entrepreneur, a true CEO, quote unquote, executive of a business should know this. But for me, it was always It's about the mission first and it's been this way as long as I can remember and I feel like my dad is probably the one that instilled this in me because he's always about what is the opportunity provide.

It's not always about the money and that's just something that stuck with me for so long. Still sticks with me to this day. When I started Retail Success Club, this very business is about a year old. I did not sell one single thing for the first three or four months. Not 1 was made. I didn't even care about the money. I didn't even know this was going to become a money making business. It was literally the last thing on my mind. What was the forefront of my mind was the mission.

It's turning other women into seven figure business owners. And there was like a lot of pressure in that even starting this business. business and thinking, okay, well, how am I going to, uh, you know, have the guts, so to speak, to teach other people. And you know what? I've done this multiple times and I had to kind of get over that. It's what people call imposter syndrome.

You may be facing it in your own business where you're like, oh, you know, how am I going to be someone who's going to get to make six, seven figures? And how am I going to hit, you know, my first seven figures? Five figure months and all the things which we're doing in retail success club. We have five figure months now in less than a year.

It's unbelievable and it's because the mission was first and you're going to learn how to do this because you're recognizing right here, right now, you're in the retail success club community.

Whether you're listening to this podcast and you're just soaking in my free content or whether you are in the trendsetter membership, whether we work one on one together, whether you are in the sales club, Sales Lab, you have already taken the biggest step forward, which is realizing there's more to this business than just the money. You have to learn education. You have to learn skill. You have to be competent in strategy. And you as a person have to start there.

Start developing more so you can become someone who understands what it takes to build a seven figure business. Because guys, obviously if it was easy and if it was just about posting the right tick tock every single day, everybody would be gazillionaires. But as we know, and as you probably know, after posting tick tock after tick tock and Instagram post after Instagram post, that's not going to get you to the seven figures.

There's so many more things along the way and your mission is the guiding principles to get you there. So if you haven't thought about your mission yet, we're going to do that today. We're going to think about what is the big picture for my business? Who am I helping on a daily basis? What do I specialize in? How can I help their lives? Because it used to be like old school marketing. What I say is it used to be like, okay, if you buy my thing, you're going to be cool. Cause my thing is cool.

And now it's more like people don't care about that. They just want to know how your thing is going to help them in their life. And this works whether you're selling a pair of jeans, whether you're selling some kind of software service, whether you are a hairstylist, whether you are selling beauty products on your online store, maybe you sell toys, maybe your children's boutique, whatever it is. You have to have a mission if you want to build the big bucks, it's going to drive everything.

And then once you have your mission down pat, That's when your messaging becomes so much easier and your messaging is how you communicate in your content, in your email marketing campaigns, on your website, in person to people. Your messaging. Messaging is how you communicate the value of your products to your specific ideal customer. And this comes from getting your mission clear.

It comes from messaging. It comes from communication.

One boutique is selling them like crazy and the other one they're sitting on the shelves and they're not moving. Messaging and mission is the difference. And I always say it's about mission over money. How many times can I say the word mission in this podcast? I don't know. We should count and do a shot every time I do that.

We would all be pretty, pretty sauced because that's how important getting clear on your mission is. It's everything. It's how you're going to become a successful business. And I see this time and time again, this is proven. This is not just like a woo woo thing I'm trying to get you to do to pass the time. This is reality what it takes. It's about the big picture. It's who you're serving every single day. Why are you showing up for your business?

For me, like Retail Success Club, my mission is so important. it's helping the next wave of women become seven figure business owners with their retail stores, their online shops, store owners. I am you guys, when I wake up in the morning, I don't think about like, Oh, did I have, you know, did I make another sale last night. I think how many lives can I change today that listened to this podcast? It's so much deeper than just the money who can't, the money will come.

I promise you the money will come. Money loves money. Mission. And that's why there's such a connection between the two. And that's why one of the first things, if you take like a business course, they're going to be like, well, what's your mission? And it's like, huh? And what are you talking about? Like, I don't even know. Like, just tell me how to make a sale. And that's, that could be what you're thinking right now. But the truth of the matter is the real trendsetters.

The real people who want to really make an impact and be wildly known and be like invited onto the today show to speak about their products because they've actually built a business full of women who are so obsessed with everything they sell. Getting invited on the today show no one's gonna ask you from they're not gonna email you and go hello We'd like to have you on the today show to talk about styling for stay at home moms We know that your customers love you. Our biggest question is how much money have you made? They're not gonna care how much money you've made or the sales you've had. They're looking at your overall impact Have you built a large community?

The Retail Success Club on Instagram has under 500 followers and already does five figures a month. It's unbelievable. It's not because I've, I've built this like massive following. So you can do this with, with a lot, with way less followers than you think. But I've built a very strong community, a community that wants to learn a community that feels like they can trust me. And I'm so grateful for that. But I did that because on TikTok, we have a much larger community.

It's over 22, 000, but I'm telling you the first three months of that TikTok, I did not have one thing for sale. And then I remember slowly starting to add things like, Oh, well let me create a tick tock guide for boutiques. I think that was one of the first things I did cause I kept getting the same questions from you all over and over and over. And I wanted to make sure if I was going to be speaking about this, I wanted to speak to people who were truly ready to take action.

You put your money where your mouth is. That's when you find out who's really going to make changes in their business. So that's how we kind of started monetizing this community. But in the beginning, It was just about simply showing up for my community every single day because I wanted to make a change. I had a mission. And now my mission has grown so massively that what I do is I wake up and I envision like an army of small business owners of us.

It's just forging ahead the most bad ass, strong, confident women that are so solid in their mission. They're so solid in their skills, in their strategy, and everyone is looking to us going, what the fudge are they doing over there? That's my mission. So today what I want you to do is think about your mission. Why are you doing this? Why did you start your business? Go deep. Who are you trying to help every day? This is why I always say you have to know your ideal customer.

This is how you're going to make a whole connection in a whole community of people who are obsessed with everything you sell.
