Hello, welcome to the show. As we get ready to switch a rooski into New Year's mode and head into 2025, I was reminiscing about the time I was sitting in my little hole in the wall closet space of an office at my desktop computer. You know, I was probably on dial up modem. No, it wasn't that long ago, but I was sitting there. to launch my first website with all of my products on it. And I had spent a long time working on my website. I thought it looked so great and so cute.
I could see it still right now in my eyes. I just had this excitement, this feeling about me and it was the moment that I'd been waiting for. Launching my own website. Starting my own business, promoting my own products. It had all come to fruition. So I hit publish and you know what happened? Nothing. Nothing happened. It was that moment when you're like, okay, I done all this work and I didn't have the sales all of a sudden just start rolling in.
And this is a bit of a lesson to learn for anybody that's launching a business or starting to sell products. Specifically physical products, which is what we, what our expertise is in here. And because we, we know that we have great products, we know it's super cute, but the hardest part about selling our products is getting customers. It's not spending money to buy inventory. It's not building a website. It's not picking out the fonts. and the cute pictures and the cute graphics.
And that's not the hardest part. The hardest part is actually getting real customers to hand over their credit cards and buy from you. So when we're looking at what we're spending our time focusing on, and a lot of times I'm guilty of this. We're all guilty of this. We're worried about so many things that actually are not going to build our customer base. So the one thing I want you to think about today is of course, are you doing enough activities to build your customer base?
And also, I want to let you know that this does not happen overnight, okay? This is a, a business and an industry where you need to be in it for the long haul. That is my belief. Because what I believe is that everything we do, every single day, is to make a difference. setting our future selves up for success. So as we look into 2025 and for example, when I launched my business to zero customers years ago, I was setting up 2025 eight figure alley up for success.
And sometimes we get micro focused on the daily results. And don't put enough, you know, um, thought and I guess almost gratitude into what we're creating for our future selves. So sure, you may have a launch where you do zero dollars. Sure. You may feel like you don't have enough customers, but our job right now as the business owner is to be setting our future selves up for success, whether it's our next week version of ourselves.
Our next month, our next six months, our next year, five years, 10 years, because had I given up when I launched my website and had no sales, can you imagine? I mean, I would have given up everything that I built because of that one decision to actually launch because the immediate results that you're get your, you get from, you know, your, your actions, the immediate results don't matter as much as what your future And this is the whole thing with my community.
And what I really want you guys to understand is Don't get so bogged down on the daily losses because everything we're doing right now will have some effect on our future. We're learning. We're getting started. We're getting smarter. We're getting more experience. We're getting more reps and that, the value on that, my friend, is immeasurable. Everything you're doing every day, you are building the future business of your dreams.
So if you get bogged down, if you let, you know, um, results that don't go your way affect you too much and bring you down too much. too much. You're going to see more of that in the future. So I'm just giving you permission. If 2024 was like a crazy dumpster fire year for you. Good. Good. Because wait till you see what's coming for you in 2025. We can't expect.
a rainbow without the rain and I was saying this to one of my girls inside glow up this morning Because we can look at our immediate results and we can look at 2024 we can say, okay Well, this wasn't the year of my dreams. This isn't how I expected it to turn out Wow, this was really a lot tougher than I expected and my answer to that is good Good because you've got some experience Experience on what it's like when it's hard. And now you'll know what to do to make it better.
To grow from this, to learn, to go, yes, 2025 is here. Now what? I'm freaking ready. I've got armor. I've got weapons. I'm ready for war now. In 2024, I was just ready to like, you know, walk in the park. Now I'm ready to show up for a battle. Because you are so much more, this is a weird word to say, weaponized with the tools that you're going to need moving forward. So, I say this to say, we all started from zero. We've all had failed, crappy launches.
We've all had things go totally the opposite or quote unquote fail in our past. But I'm telling you, those are the things, those are the moments that make the future you so much stronger to where you will build something that you could almost say. In your wildest dreams, you're going to go, I can't believe six months ago I was in that place and look at me now. Now I can always believe it. I believe it.
When I see my clients come in and I see them start learning what I teach and start implementing it right away in their business and doing the reps and showing up. Even if things don't look like it's going their way or there's no evidence yet. That it's going to work, but they keep chugging away and they keep getting better and more refined. Then, all of a sudden, they wake up one day with ten orders. And they go, holy crap, what happened? And I go, of course it happened.
I watched you for so long. Six weeks do everything to set up the you from six weeks from now for success. So you may not be able to see it, but as your coach and as your mentor, I see it. I see it happening before my eyes, but you're just chugging along and just hoping. And I'm going, Nope, it's happening. It's happening. And then boom, you wake up one day and you go, Oh my gosh, what did I do? And I go, okay, well let's review everything you did. You refined your content strategy.
You refined your skills. Sales strategy. You learned how to magnetize customers. You learned how to build an email list. You learned how to have a Shopify that converts like, do you want me to tell you all the zillion things you've done different in the last six weeks? Cause you don't even really know cause you're just in the trenches, but I'm over here watching from the outside going, holy moly cannoli. She doesn't even know what's about to hit her.
So you go from, from zero sales or one to two sales a week to 10 plus sales a day where you're taking bags full of packages to the post office multiple times a week. This is the norm. This is what I expect from my students. When you do the work, you get the results, but you have to understand you're in it for the long haul. You're setting your future self up for success.
This is why I am pushing so hard for my students right now to go even more all in on their businesses, no matter what the evidence is because I know it's coming for you. The programs work. My strategies work. That is like not even up for, for debates. I seen it time and time again in my students businesses, my clients businesses, my businesses.
The only thing is you showing up consistently showing up every day and not and go into battle and you know, building your weaponry, building your armory, building the army of you so you can show up and win. Even when you don't even realize like they say, you may be losing a battle or having a little failure, right? But you're going to win the war and that's what this is about in the long run. That's why I say be in it for the long haul. That's why I've made glow up a series.
Six month program minimum, because I want you dedicating yourself to the long haul. Cause that's where the magic is. It's so amazing. I know a lot of you have DM'd me about glow up.
