I was terrified and shaking in my cowgirl boots when I decided it was time to get my first office that was a whopping 250 square feet. It was really truly, it was more like a broom closet, if we're being honest. Okay. It was in town, in the country. And I thought, Oh my gosh, This office is the biggest risk of my entire life. Again, it was 250 square feet. I think at the most I had like four shelves, a desktop computer, a girl that would help me like a couple hours a week.
And it was literally like doing business out of a closet, but it was the biggest deal to me in the entire world. I could not believe that I was actually renting space for my own. Office. Okay, because in the past I had, I had worked in Another office once, I was a horrible employee. So that didn't go very well. I just thought like, why don't you just file your own papers and answer your own phone? Like, why am I doing that for you? Oh my gosh.
I'm so glad I didn't get fired because I remember telling that to my bosses and they were like, what? Like that's your whole job. And I was like, ah, they were so nice. It was out of college. It was not a good fit. I left shortly thereafter and realized I had to start my own business. Okay. So I finally get this office It's a three month lease. Again, three months at the time felt like an eternity. It was 250 a month and I thought, Oh my gosh, this is crazy of me, but I just went all in.
I just trusted my gut and was like, you know what? I can do this. I can figure this out. I can, I can, I can, I can do this. And it was that heart, that willpower, that resilience, that determination, that effing courage that I had in that moment. That really was the driving force year after year after year to building this incredible seven figure business that I have now.
And I was just reflecting on this while I was drinking my coffee this morning and I was, you know, I didn't really reflect on a lot of these adventures. I've been on till recently until I'm talking to you guys about all the things that I've been through. I just kind of went, you know, I was just kind of like on this rocket ship, just like launching into outer space. And I never really took the time to like, take a look back at.
Earth, like the place that I came from before I hit the stars, you know, I was just like, Oh my gosh, I was reflecting back this morning and thinking, Oh, this is so crazy.
This journey, this ride I've been on now, going from that little broom closet of an office to having a massive showroom in downtown Dallas at one of the world's best trade centers, being with all of the top brands in the world, looking around and seeing, Seeing like, you know, the Lacoste of the world and like polo and like all the most iconic brands are surrounding me. And here I am started in little old country town, 250 square foot office.
And now I'm with the fricking big boys, quote unquote, I'm the big girl with the big boys. It's just wild. And though I was thinking about, okay, what actually got me there? And when I think about it again. Year after year after year, it always goes back to my courage and my heart and my willpower. So I can teach you the how, I can teach you the what you need to do, I can teach you the why, I can teach you even who you need to become to go and build this massive empire for yourself.
But you have to bring the willpower. You have to bring the heart. You have to bring the self trust and the courage and know that you are in this for the long haul. It may not happen overnight. This is not going to happen tomorrow. Okay. Everyone says, wow, it's like, it's an overnight success. Yeah. Overnight success that took 10 years.
Okay. But what I can do is teach you all of the things I've learned along the way, the ups and downs, the strategies, the skills, the things that I know are the actual major needle movers for product based business owners. Okay. And that's what we do inside trendsetter. That's what we do.

Like, honestly, I was at snail's pace because I didn't have someone to go to. I didn't have the education at my fingertips, so I had to learn it the hard way. But you know what?
