The Alarmist, Rebecca Delgado Smith, wants to know who is to blame for the cannibalistic misadventures of The Donner Party. She and friend, Clayton Early (Harvard Sailing Team), scrutinize each player in this great tragedy. Was westward expansion to blame? Or was this a human foible? Why do women have a greater chance of surviving in harsh conditions? One thing's for sure: The Donner's would have arrived safely if Rebecca and Clayton were leading the charge.
