What is Higher Consciousness?

Higher Consciousness or Expanded Awareness are references to the relative level of an individual's "self-awareness." Similar to yoga's "chakra" system or even Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, the degree of an individual's conscious awareness has to do with his/her ability to transmute fear into love and to shift focus from the external world to the internal universe as a path to Unified Consciousness.
