Weekly Market Outlook: Nov. 7-11th "Margin Management Math"

Jarod Creed with JC Marketing visits with Chris this week about the opportunities for a profitable 2022 for the majority of crop operations.

The discussion involves navigating many of the challenges and opportunities which include  interest rates hikes, the general economy, basis management, protecting or selling your unpriced bushels, and being disciplined enough to take advantage of profit margins that currently exceed most/all prior years.

They go on to discuss the opportunities for 2023. Even though the cost of production is up on the 2023 estimates the commodity prices are up more than enough to provide even more opportunity than we had last year at this time. As harvest wraps up it’s time to do some math to finish up 2022 and to make sure 2023 is as successful as possible. Managing your margins in 2023 will be the key to success!
