Mark Houston dedicated many years to the field of addiction recovery, developing deep experience and insight into what truly helps people heal. Drawing from his own struggles with addiction, the wisdom of the Big Book, and his work in his recovery centers, Mark shared his knowledge and compassion with countless individuals across the country.
He reached people not only through his personal work with alcoholics, addicts, and their families, but also through his lectures and appearances around the world. Until his passing in 2010, Mark continued to serve his community and those at the Mark Houston Recovery Center with unwavering commitment. He is fondly remembered for dedicating his life to alleviating the suffering of alcoholics, addicts, and their loved ones.
