A Very Special Episode

Today, we have a very special episode, and if you know what we mean, you’re a child of a certain generation. A very special episode was often that serious installment of your favorite sitcom, complete with inappropriately placed laugh tracks.

Usually, very special episodes tackled topics like drug abuse, alcohol abuse, child sexual molestation, or teen pregnancy. By the end of the episode, the protagonist had learned a valuable lesson about how to handle the situation, just as we, the kids watching, learned from it too.
