Today on That Tech Pod, Laura and Gabi speak to Dr. Khaled El Emam, the leading authority on synthetic data and anonymization in Canada. Dr. El Emam is a senior scientist at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Research Institute and Director of the multi-disciplinary Electronic Health Information Laboratory, conducting applied research on data synthesis, and the identifiability of health information and how to measure it, as well as a Professor in the  School of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Ottawa. He founded or co-founded several companies involved with data management, and data analytics, and privacy enhancing technologies, and most recently Replica Analytics.
