Overcoming Religious Rejection, Finding Spirituality, & Gay Pride with Counselor Seth Landers
Episode description
Kristina brings her dear friend and coworker Seth Landers onto the show. Seth texted Kristina his bio before the show: He grew up in a small town outside of Nashville, he's a flaming homosexual and lover of people no matter their background. He is a Masters candidate at UTK for social work/therapy. He is a Spicy Lil Daddi and split ways with the institution of church and religion, finding a real relationship with spirituality. He did his undergrad at Belmont and identifies as a "traumatized baby." His pronouns are he/him/his.
This episode has a content warning for suicidality and discussion around homophobia. Seth walks us through his journey growing us in a small Southern Baptist Church, his struggle with acceptance within the church and how that impacted him mentally, and his path towards freedom, self-love, and a relationship with God. We love Seth and are honored to have his story on the show.
