Episode description

Religious obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a type of OCD that causes a person obsess over spiritual fears. It often involves religious compulsions such as excessive prayer. For example, a person might worry they are going to Hell and repeat a mantra to cope with this fear.

Do many religious Jews, Christians and Muslims have some form of it? What does one do if they have it? All these questions are answered in this week's episode with Rabbi Dr. Jonathan.

Rabbi Dr. Jonathan Schwartz is a practicing psychologist AND serves as the Rav of Congregation Adath Israel in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

We loved having a person who is both on the medical side of the field as well as the rabbinical side.
