Episode Summary: In this episode, Ryan, having recently undergone life-saving surgery, returns to his mother's house where his family and friends await him. Nervous and burdened by his past decisions, Ryan grapples with doubts and regrets as he prepares to face the repercussions of his absence. His mother, Grace, offers words of support and reminds him that he owes nothing to those who may judge him.

Ryan then proceeds to interact with his son, Joey, expressing his love and regret for leaving without saying goodbye. While Joey initially feigns indifference, their conversation reveals a deep bond that withstands their strained relationship. Ryan also encounters Chanelle, pregnant and angry, who dismisses his attempts at reconciliation.

Santos, Chanelle's partner, confronts Ryan and tries to remove him from the gathering, but the commotion catches the attention of Karen's two girls, who rush over to embrace Ryan. Joey, intrigued by the scar on his father's head, demands an explanation, to which Ryan promises to reveal after speaking with Karen.
