Logline: When Nathan reveals he visited his ex-wife Jessica without telling Lisa, their new romance is threatened by the news Jessica is dying and Nathan still loves her.

Episode Summary:

Lisa is furious that Nathan went away for a week to secretly visit ex-wife Jessica. Though he denies rekindling their romance, Lisa suspects Jessica is pregnant with Nathan's child. He calls Jessica, who reveals she has terminal breast cancer. Stunned, Nathan tells Lisa he still loves Jessica, ending their relationship. Lisa tries convincing Nathan he's grieving and not thinking clearly, but he insists his love for Jessica never waned.

Nathan declares he can't juggle both relationships and must devote himself to Jessica in her final months. Though heartbroken, Lisa selflessly urges Nathan to be with Jessica, hoping he'll return to her. But Nathan seems set on reconnecting with his ex-wife, leaving Lisa to wonder if their complicated romance can survive.
