Episode 128 “An Axel to grind”

Nick is joined by Jéssica Frota (@Je_Frota) as Chelsea’s premier league season got under way with a 1-1 draw vs Liverpool thanks to Axel Disasi’s debut goal.  It was an encouraging performance as Chelsea came from a goal down to earn a point in Poch’s first game. It was a shaky start but after that lots of players grew into it with Colwill, Enzo, Gallagher & Jackson singled out for praise.  With Nkunku’s injury worse than initially feared it’s a blow & we discuss the impact that will have as well as the opportunity it opened up for Carney Chukwuemeka who slowly grew into the game.  Robert Sanchez’s debut is assessed as well as Kepa’s seemingly imminent loan to Madrid with Jéss giving her verdict on who she’d like Chelsea to sign.  Reece James & Ben Chilwell we’re announced as captain & vice captains & we give our thoughts on that. The Moisés Caicedo saga is coming to an end, Jéss shares her excitement on his imminent arrival.
