Just kidding – he’s Hydro-Man, a D-Lister that this episode of Spider-Man: The Animated Series somehow found a way to make interesting. How do they do it, you ask? By putting the Bro in Hybro Man and talking about… male entitlement?

This episode has everything: MRAs, the seduction community, Nice Guys, anime screams, water puns and ocean science magic.

And in our comic origin segment, Jack tells Henry all about Hydro-Man’s first comic appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #212 (1980), before updating him on all the pathetic things he’s been up to in the years since.
