Professor Raymond Tallis is a philosopher, poet, novelist and cultural critic and was until recently a physician and clinical scientist. In the Economist's Intelligent Life Magazine he was listed as one of the top living polymaths in the world as well as in 2004 being identified in Prospect Magazine as one of the top 100 public intellectuals in the United Kingdom.

Often appearing on the BBC Raymond is the author of many books including his most recent "Aping Mankind: Neuromania, Darwinitis and the Misrepresentation of Humanity" and the forth coming "In Death's Obsidian MIrro".We take advantage of our opportunity to talk with such a qualified polymath and cover allot of ground,  touching on the human mind, quantum physics and the dangers of the UK loosing their NHS.
