Episode description

Sarah House is ceramic artist who works in clay by creating sculpture inspired by natural fractals. She earned a bachelor from Tyler School of Art, and a masters at Tulane University. Her work earned her international recognition, and has been globally exhibited. Sarah's work stems from a love and fascination with the natural world, particularly the self-similar patterns known as fractals, the patterns by which the universe has organized itself. Through ceramic sculpture Sarah explores the ubiquitous nature and similar appearance fractals share throughout nature. Sarah's studio is based in New Orleans.
