Alex Geriner

Alex Geriner is founder and designer of Doorman Designs a company based in New Orleans that creates stunning handmade furniture using reclaimed woods and materials found throughout the Gulf South. Alex started by building his own bed in his backyard and turned his passion into a successful business shipping furniture all over the world. Alex talks about how the rebirth of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina gave him the energy to fully embrace his passion for furniture making. Starting his business on Etsy, Alex began creating bed frames out of salvaged doors building a customer base and eventually designing a wider range of furniture including lighting, coffee tables, nightstands, and dinning room tables.
