Andrew and Edwin recognize that David was not only looking back at folks like Moses and Joshua, because he was a prophet, he was also looking ahead. It's a great demonstration that Jesus doesn't merely fulfill foretellings of events, He fulfills the very pattern of how God always works with His people.
