Episode description

On August 1st 1966, Charles Whitman, a former marine made his way to the observation deck at the tower of the university of Texas at Austin. Loaded up with a footlocker of different guns, ammo, food and even deodorant, he was in it for the long haul. After shooting nearly 45 people in 80 minutes this expert marksman was finally stopped. What made Charles snap? Was it a childhood plagued with abuse? The pressure of having almost a genius IQ? Or could it have been a tumor in just the right spot?
